About: (Update: 11/24/23) Please be patient with me during this time, as my furbaby Jack just crossed the rainbow bridge on November 8th. I am still accepting bookings, but acceptance times and availability may vary. Hello beautiful pet parents! My name is Carlitha, and although I am new to the Rover community of sitters, my love for all animals has been cultivating for roughly 15 years now. I am a high school teacher, so my weekdays are a little busy, and weekends are currently dedicated to fur-babies. I have a 15 year old Yorkie-mix named Jack, who has been my peace and joy since the Spring of 2008. He gets along great with other dogs (and even cats), and he even enjoys assisting me in the daily feeding of the neighborhood birds, squirrels and chip munks-- oh, and the cat who sometimes relaxes in my garage. Jack is the only pet I own at the moment, but I have been having serious dog-fever lately, which is why I decided to sign up to be a pet sitter. I have also used Rover dozens of times for my pet sitting needs, so I 100% trust (and am comfortable with) its service. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me; and I wish you the best of luck in your Rover related ventures. I am a high school teacher, so my weekdays are a little busy and my weekends are currently dedicated to fur-babies. I am also available on holidays. I live in a spacious, dog-friendly house with a good size backyard for daily play. I also reside in Lakewood, which means that I am close to many parks and lots of nature, so your furbaby will get lots of fresh air and exercise!
About: I have always had pets- and love animals. I am athletic and love to be outside and I walk every day- rain or snow- and cannot even imagine doing my daily walks without a dog with me! I do not have cats right now, but I really appreciate and respect their playful independent personalities. I am a lawyer and poet working from home with my dog by my side. (; I have a very flexible schedule that allows me to stop by and care for animals in their homes or to take them for walk. My work is remote so I do not even need to be at home or in an office to get it done. I have done zoom court hearings in airports and on beaches over my phone. (: I am a loving, ethical person and so always do my very best at any job I work. I love animals and vulnerable creatures and I empathize if they feel anxious when their owners are away - I relate to that!- and would do anything for pets to help them feel calm and safe. My little sometimes timid hound dog is spoiled by us. I always know what she needs. We take a lot of long walks together and I am a strong, fast walker who can always keep up!
“Kaitlin was great to work with. She responds quickly which is tremendously helpful in planning my work week. She's flexible and has been very loving to my dogs. Great communication and sends me lots of pics while I'm missing my babies at work. Will use her again!”
“Katherine has been my coworker at the Greater a Cleveland Aquarium for two years now and demonstrates excellent care for her animals here. She has also watched my cats for me on many occasions. I know when I leave them with her, it's essentially the same as me being home because she spoils them like I would. On top of this, she is a cat owner herself. Sofie is her world and is very well loved. I've never seen Katherine meet an animal and not immediately love them, she will be perfect for this roll!”
“Kelly did a great job walking and feeding my dog. She sent pictures, a nice update after, and he was very happy when I got home. Kelly was even kind enough to meet beforehand to get introduced to my dog.”
“Erin is great and so flexible. This week we had some schedule changes and with less than 24 hours notice she was able to accommodate a dog walk visit for us on short notice. ”
“Heather is an energetic and attentive dog walker and sitter. She is kind to all creatures and handles even our high-strung terrier with compassion and patience.”
“Shandra scheduled a meet and greet before our walk to get comfortable with Gizmo and so Gizmo could get comfortable with her. We talked about his over excitement and some commands I'm working on teaching him. She was able to incorporate the commands into her 1st walk with him and reports he did very well! Will book again!”
About: Hi! I have been working in private homes as a Nanny, Housesitter, and Petsitter for over 15 years. I have experience taking care of a variety of animals including dogs, cats, horses, chameleons, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, and birds. I'm Pet CPR/First Aid Certified and Insured. In addition to Petsitting, I've fostered cats through the Cleveland APL and I’m a volunteer dog walker at City Dogs. I’ve also had to opportunity to take several classes with shelter dogs on basic manners and reactivity using positive reinforcement. I have two cats of my own that I adopted through the Cleveland APL, one of which was a foster fail. They don’t like me to be away for too long so I only do overnight stays for 2-3 nights at a time. I’m available most of the day Thursday through Sunday for drop in visits and walks. I can also do drop in visits on Monday evenings if needed. I provide the same level of care for your pets that I would give to my own and I’m more than happy to provide daily updates through text or email. I know how much I love getting updates of my kitties when I’m on vacation!
