Pet care experience

Trustworthy & Passionate

Hello! Recently moved back to Ohio and have an open schedule to fill!!! I am a full time animal lover and luckily, I provide pet care services for all dogs, cats, and any other critters in need of care. I have 10 years of pet care experience, however I grew up in middle of no where Ohio, where I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and any other pet a kid could love, so you could say a lifetime. I have worked at Zoos and an animal hospital, and as a park ranger. These different jobs have provided me with a wide range of knowledge of animal behavior and body language, training, and safe practices for pets, along with environmental factors that may impact services. I am a highly active person for those dogs who need fast and/or long walks or dogs who need to get zoomies out. I adore the older seniors that need some extra love and care. Through my animal hospital experience, I can administer medications. My experience with all sizes and breeds of dogs and a wide range of temperaments help create a seamless experience with owners. I love every pet as if they were one of my own babies, with a focus on playtime, manners, and lots of love. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies!!! I do daily walks Monday through Friday. I’m available for boardings, sittings, and drop in visits during the week and weekends. Meet and greets are best in the mornings or late afternoon. SAFETY POLICIES: Please keep in mind, all of these are in place to protect your pets health and safety as well as mine. Please let me know if your dog is not feeling well BEFORE service. This will not effect the service, but allows me to prepare better services for your pet. Ex: your dog doesn’t want to walk in the heat that day do to being lethargic, in larger buildings we can walk the inside hallways to stretch legs after using the bathroom outside, or play brain games to entertain them. 1. I do not walk in severe weather. This includes thunderstorms, lightening strikes within 10 miles of my location in the last 30 minutes, and if the heat index is over 90 degrees. In the hot weather, I will not force dogs to walk. We will stay out as long as they are comfortable and I will stay with the pet the full 30 minutes. This is for everyone’s safety, meaning we will be going slow, using cooling methods, and will take longer breaks in the shade. Basically, if my weather apps notify me of any severe weather or alerts, that is what I go off of. I will try my best to keep owners who’s walks/service may be affected up to date on the weather. 2. All dogs must have proper walking gear ◦ Well fitted Harness ◦ Prong collar ◦ Fixed leash ◦ Martingale collar 3. Unacceptable walking gear ◦ Regular collars ◦ Choker collars ◦ E collars ◦ Extending leashes ◦ Ill fitted harness or collar ◦ Leashes/collars/harnesses with any breakage

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I treat every pet as if they were my own. Animals love their schedules, so I request general schedule (feeding and bathroom breaks) to decrease stress on your pet. At client’s home, I respect thier wishes, ex: the dog isn’t allowed on the couch or type of play that is okay inside vs outside.

Colleen is wonderful! She has dropped in on my 4 cats for a few times since this summer. She has taken exceptional care of them, even administrating medications for unplanned illnesses that popped up right before I had to go out of town. We're very thankful and grateful for her help. Two paws way up!
