First thing I do is greet the dog, and look for any messes, hazards, or signs of how they are feeling this day. After greeting I reward if they behaved well, clean their water dish, and refill it. If I noticed any messes, or hazards I would gladly clean them. I will likely not have cleaning solutions for every situation or surface, so please show me where you keep yours in the even that I need to use them. I will ask you to explain their habits, needs and preferences. When walking I stop to let them sniff as long as they need. As benign as it may seem to us, it is very important for their noggins! I communicate with them as if they understand every word I say. I have my own doggie bags, and will pay for treats after learning what the dog likes. The first several visits will consist of trust building exercises such as treat & retreat, demonstrating authoritative/submissive behavior when necessary, leash practice, and of course learning all of their favorite toys! I am experienced with providing special care such as administering medications, or assisting with lift-ups and let-downs for dogs with hip/back problems.
