First thing I do is greet the dog, and look for any messes, hazards, or signs of how they are feeling this day. After greeting I reward if they behaved well, clean their water dish, and refill it. If I noticed any messes, or hazards I would gladly clean them. I will likely not have cleaning solutions for every situation or surface, so please show me where you keep yours in the even that I need to use them. I will ask you to explain their habits, needs and preferences. When walking I stop to let them sniff as long as they need. As benign as it may seem to us, it is very important for their noggins! I communicate with them as if they understand every word I say. I have my own doggie bags, and will pay for treats after learning what the dog likes. The first several visits will consist of trust building exercises such as treat & retreat, demonstrating authoritative/submissive behavior when necessary, leash practice, and of course learning all of their favorite toys! I am experienced with providing special care such as administering medications, or assisting with lift-ups and let-downs for dogs with hip/back problems. If you have any additional questions or requests I'd be happy to do whatever I can to accommodate you, and your dog! I plan to be mouth-to-snout CPR certified soon
Information Tyler S. would like to know about your pet
If you're dog has special needs to be comfortable I would greatly appreciate knowing so I can adequately care for them. It is also super helpful to know what their likes and dislikes are. Especially regarding other people, dogs, and body language. Please do not be shy about any details. Just like us, they all have unique personalities and over time I like to cater my visits to their interests!
A typical day
Any adventure is better with a dog! We'll patrol the town, sniff all the sniffs, play fetch if there's a safe place to do so, and I'm a challenge to be considered in a tug-of-war! I also love brushing, and cleaning members of my pack. It's both great for trust building, as well as a good boost for their self-esteem!

Professional friend!
Pet care experience
I've had a fascination with dogs and their habits since I was a child. In my youth I lived in a rural town where my friend and I started a dog walking "business" at approximately age 10. Fast forward 13 years and I found the greatest job of my life! I began working at Mary's Pet Shuttle & Services. It lead to some of my greatest experiences, and memories! Both the dogs and the people became cherished members of my life. I'm not just a dogwalker! I'm a friend that can be counted on when you're dog needs us the most, or to simply share kindness & celebrate life! When I'm with your dog you can have peace of mind knowing that they are loved, appreciated and, most importantly, safe. I recently moved to Lakewood in search of new opportunities, and that certainly meant more dogs! I'm thrilled to continue expanding the pack once more! I've now served the dogs (and some cats) of Cleveland for 2 proud years!
Reviews

Tyler was great! He was very reliable, and especially kind to Lola. I would highly recommend him!

As always, excellent service and communication. I highly recommend him

Thanks again for taking such good care of the “pack” while we were celebrating our daughter’s wedding! My sister appreciated your expertise and understanding of the dogs’ needs and your ability to separate them for their meals/meds. As always, great job!👏🏻

Tyler helped us for a drop in visit with our 12 week old puppy! He was very attentive. We had a video call before hand to go over all instructions. I would definitely book him again!
