“Brandy was great. She went above and beyond what she had to do. My dog has separation anxiety and he loved her and was well taken care of. Thank you so much!”

“I'm very happy with Maggie who stayed at my home with two dogs and a cat for 3 days, 2 nights. She's obviously an animal lover and they all like her. My home looked great on my return and all the pets were happy. I am using Maggie again in the near future and am comfortable recommending her for overnight stays.”
“Olivia was did a wonderful job taking care of my 11 year old dog. They went out for regular daily walks and she even kept me updated with pictures. My house was clean when I returned and the flowers/garden had been watered regularly in my absence. I would not hesitate to book Olivia again for dog and house sitting.”

About: I've been housesitting and petsitting since 2009! I have experience primarily with cats and dogs, and I also have extensive plant and yard care experience for those extended vacations! I would love to take care of your pets and home during your much-needed vacation. I'm also comfortable caring for your furless babies, too, including birds, fish, and reptiles! I currently work part-time and attend school online at OSU part-time, so my flexible schedule will fit perfectly with you and your pet's needs! I am primarily available in afternoons and on weekends. I frequently split my time between Eugene and Corvallis. Your home is you and your pets' haven! I aim to take care of every home and all pets with the same attentive care I would give my own. Safety, cleanliness, and respect are my top priorities! For housesitting requests, please be clear about your expectations for how much/little time you would like for me to spend at your home during the day, potty break routines, sleeping arrangements, etc. I love getting as much information as possible so I can do my absolute best caring for your pets and home!
“Caralisa dealt with senior dog meds and walks with no issues. She updated me on how things were going, and did not leave a messy house. I would definitely use her again!”

“We couldn’t ask for anyone better than Kaylee! She takes the absolute best care of our dog and cat while we are away that we never have an ounce of worry. Our animals love her, and she is extremely reliable and great with communication. We cannot recommend Kaylee enough, we wish we could give her 10 stars. Thank you!!”

“Lucinda was such an amazing pet sitter! She was so good with our 2 dogs and cat from sending us pictures and videos daily to even bringing them Christmas presents 🎁 Her communication was great and I felt at ease knowing she was there watching our pets. She deserves more than 5 stars ⭐️. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter ♥️”

“Gabriela is great. She has been dropping in on my older pup for a few months now (and stayed with her once overnight). Gabriela always provides updates and photos. She's flexible and responsive.”

“Just watched our boy Koa again and stayed at our house for 2 weeks, we love receiving photos of him and knowing he is well loved and taken care of while we are away ! Also, Rebecca is very prompt with replying and reliable.”

“Destiny was wonderful. She watched all 5 of our animals. 1 cat, 2 senior Chihuahuas and 2 puppies. That is not an easy task. Upon returning home I could tell they were all well taken care of. The house was clean (which isn't easy with 2 puppies) and she even left music in for them when she left. A kind soul that I will absolutely trust my animals with again.”

“Marla took wonderful care of our 3 dogs and a client’s dog while we were gone all day. One of our dogs can be a bit difficult due to his separation anxiety but she did a great job with him. I can tell she loves dogs and it seemed like they all enjoyed her company. She was very attentive to all our instructions and we would happily have her watch them again!”

“Wow, thank you Sandy for everything this week! I just got home and my house is immaculate, the dog is happy and I’m happy. Thank you for being so communicative, sending me pictures and updates during the week, I really appreciate it. I’m definitely calling you first the next time I need a sitter!”

“Alivia sat for Sage over the Christmas holidays while we were out of town and was fantastic. She kept us updated and took great care him. We always feel a little wary leaving him but it makes it a lot easier having someone like Alivia to take care of him. I wholeheartedly recommend her to look after your pets!”

“I am so very happy that I found Lisa. She stayed with my two little dogs for 10 days while i was out of the country. Knowing that she was there with them enabled me to enjoy my travel without worry. One of my dogs was finishing medications and she knew exactly what to do to make sure he took them. My dogs also think she is the best!!”

About: I have experience with all sorts of animals. I have worked with dogs and cats and most other household pets including snakes and birds. I have also worked with horses and most livestock farm animals. I make a daily roster of animals to care for and schedule my time accordingly. I care for my animals first always and help my community with animal care needs. I have a large fenced yard with room to run. I have 2 female dogs that are well trained and managed. The smaller mutt is elderly (11) and has a room of her own where she will put herself as needed. My big girl Sally, the Bernese is friendly to all animals large or small and really the very best calm neutral dog I have ever known.

“Sydney took great care of our high anxiety pup for us on very short notice. She is personable and her love of dogs shows. We will use her services again for any future trips, where we just can’t take our high spirited crazy man with us.”

“Nathan was fabulous! He was very calming when meeting the dogs for the first time, and he did everything we asked just perfectly. We will definitely call him again!”

“Ada house sitter and cared for our dog for 3 days and 2 nights. She sent several pictures each day and was a very effective communicator. My dog was happy to have her company. I will be booking her again. The house was maintained very well by Ada.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 691 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Crow. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Crow walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Crow maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Crow choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Crow. On Rover:
- 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
