“Our pups did well with Claire on their first stay! Claire was very communicative and sent photos too. She was very patient and understanding of letting our girls adjust to a new environment. Claire is very knowledgeable and gave us a few helpful recommendations as well.”

“My husband and I boarded our two small dogs with Ying while we travelled out of state recently. He took great care of them and consistently sent us photo and video updates so we could see how they were doing. He was easily able to administer medication for one dog, and was very attentive and accommodating. He has a great space with a very nice yard that they loved hanging out in. He even set up a soft place for them outside to sunbathe, even adding an umbrella for shade! We appreciate his kindness and responsiveness during their stay, and we’ll absolutely re-book in the future. Thanks Ying!”

About: Hi, I'm Desiree! I live in the hills in Southwest Eugene with my family & fur babies: four dogs, a cat, and a bunny. So animals are my everyday life. I know that leaving your pet with someone is a big deal, and I treat every pet like one of my own: lots of cuddles & attention, consistent routines, and clear updates, so you never have to wonder how they're doing. I have such a passion for doing this because when I’ve had to leave my fur babies it was really hard. I’m hoping to put you at ease knowing your fur baby is receiving love and attention while you are gone 💙💜 I currently work full time but my position is one that I get to work from home. So I am available anytime to watch the animal or walk them. My dogs and bunny would stay upstairs and there is a whole living area on the second floor. There is a gate on the stairs separating the living areas (due to my dog having bad hips). Your pet gets a fenced yard / daily walks and outdoor time, regular meals on your schedule, fresh water, and plenty of attention and play. I'm comfortable giving medications and following special diets or recovery instructions, and I'll send photo or video updates during every stay. Dogs sleep inside with us. We can do a meet-and-greet first so your pet can get comfortable with me.
“Kelli and Justin and their kids are wonderful. I couldn't have asked for better people to care for Our Stella girl for the weekend. Kelli and Justin was understanding in dealing with Stella’s anxiety about being away from home. They kept us posted and sent pictures on how Stella was doing, which helped us relax. They took Stella on walks and gave lots of love and playtime which I know Stella really enjoyed her stay. Thank you so much.”

“Cecelia watched our dog Hobbes, and it seems he enjoyed his stay! She sent pictures of him to update us, and he had the run of her back yard. Would definitely recommend Cecelia!”

“Rocko had an absolute blast with Katelyn and her family. I'm so grateful for her endless patience with Rocko's 1-year-old-puppy energy, for her flexibility with my last-minute trip changes, and for her consistent communication throughout Rocko's stay. Look no further for your pet's care; Katelyn is the best!”

“I would highly recommend Caleb to everyone! At our meet and greet, he asked a ton of questions about my pup, Atticus, and took notes of his needs and habits. Atticus is a very itchy boy and the fact that he came home without any hotspots is a testament to Caleb's attentiveness to care. Given the opportunity, I would not hestitate to book with Caleb again. He's also a great dog photographer, to say the least!”

“So happy we chose Teresa to watch our pug. I can tell she genuinely enjoys watching dogs and took great care of our pup. She was very kind, easy to communicate with, gave my dog lots of excersie and love, and sent us updates! Felt like my dog was on her own vacation there. Will definitely book again and recommended to others!”

“Mari was absolutely fabulous! Our dogs had a grand time, and we felt very comfortable with leaving them in her care. Plus, we loved all the photos! Thank you so much, Mari!”

“10 stars! Elizabeth has a great love for dogs. Mochi was in the best care with her. She took him in like he was her own. She made sure he had so much fun with so many outings, doggy play dates, and snuggles. She had great communication throughout. We highly recommend her and will definitely reach out to her again in the future.”

“Julie is wonderful! She took great care of Ernie for the week we were out of town and kept us updated with pictures. She was quick to respond to messages and truly treated Ernie like her own dog. Can't recommend her enough!”

“Dominique and Josiah were amazing, they took such great care of my dog and 2 bunnies for more days then planned due to unforeseen circumstances, alleviating my stress about getting home asap. I will happily ask them again in the future, and hope they will take us, they really went above and beyond, Thank you both from the bottom of my heart!”

“Susana was fabulous with Daisy! I received daily updates with a sweet photo of how she was doing including lots of walks and cuddling. Susana is well versed in dog behavior so she was able to comfortably have Daisy along with a couple of other dogs and monitor their behavior closely during her stay. Daisy was well cared for and seemed very happy during her stay. I would absolutely book Susana again!”
About: New to pet sitting. But not new to relationships with dogs. Recently retired and wanting to do something I love. As a proud parent of 2 doggies, (Little Nellie our Mini Dachshund lies in bed next to me as a write this) I know what it is like to leave your dogs in the care of another. It can be stressfull worrying about them. My aim is make it as stress-free as possible. I will treat your dogs as family. Because they are. I have had many dogs over the years, from Great Danes to German Shepherds, and to my Irish Doodle Charlie. There is nothing like the bond between man and beast! (Cheap reference to Brad Pitt movie "Heart of the Beast") And while I'm no Brad Pitt, but we are the same age. (Maybe that makes me just like him?) I treasure that bond. I recently lost Kaisey my 11 year old frisbee partner in crime German Shepherd. My plan is to honor her legacy by providing loving and trusting care to your dogs. Sincerely Bobby, Nellie, Charlie, and of course Kaisey who is forever in my heart! My whole life resolves around the safety and well being of my dogs, we are frequent dog parkers, and whenever planning to go somewhere, my first question is can the dogs go? I have a large fenced yard and have taken extra procautions on not having escapees. My 2 doggies are very friendly and enjoy making new friends. Our dogs are rarely without human company.

“Sarah and Anthony were the perfect sitters for our little dog. They also have a big dog and small dog to keep her company. Their house is very dog friendly as are they, thank you so much for taking such good care of her and sending pictures. This experience could not have been better!”

About: Experienced owner, foster, and sitter for dogs of all ages and needs. Ability to administer medication, go for walks and provide plenty of stimulation/play time. I am a self employed wedding photographer, with a very open weekday schedule. Most of my work days are on one weekend day a week, with a lot of flexible availability. I care for all pets with the love and care I give to my own. Our animals deserve intentional and safe interactions, exercise, and routine.
“My dog had a great time with Cameron and her dog Bo. I was updated daily on the fun they were having. She treated my dog like part of the family. We will definitely use Cameron in the future.”

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
