“My first time using Ericka to watch my dog Toby and I'm very pleased with the job she did. She sent me pictures of Toby each day which I enjoyed receiving. Toby requires eye drops 5 times per day so it's a bit of work to care for him. Also pleased that the house was in good order when I returned. I hope to use Ericka again in the future.”

“Natalie tackled the task of watching our 5 animals in our home while we were on vacation. I’m a bit of a nervous wreck when it comes to our fur babies but I fully trust Natalie and can tell she absolutely loves animals! She did a wonderful job and we will absolutely be rebooking her for our next trip!”

“There are not enough words to explain how amazing and truly incredible Heather is!!! We have 4 dogs with 4 different personalities and needs. It was instant love for her by them! It would be your dogs loss if you don’t use her services! She’s an amazing person and true dog lover!”

“Maddi was awesome to have watch our senior pups! She was so thorough and kind and I felt very quickly at ease with our dogs in her care. Would highly recommend anyone considering care for their fur babes to book with her and I personally hope to have her again with our pups the next time we need a sitter!”

About: Because I’m in medical school I have a unique perspective on pet care in the sense that I am calm, thorough, and empathetic! I also have a dog of my own with medical needs so I am equipped to care for any pet. I’ve had large dogs, small, dogs, cats, and fish all my life and I would love to help care for your pets too:) I’m currently in medical school so my schedule varies during the weekdays (which I will frequently update) but I can come swing by to take on walks, check-ins, or house-sit. I have most weekends free as well. I am experienced in caring for food aggressive pets, dog-aggressive pets, as well as medically needy pets. I can take large dogs 100+ lbs on leashed walks as well as play in yards with them. I love animals and I know how to keep everyone safe and happy:)

“Sydney did an AMAZING job watching our dogs. We have one reactive dog and there was some tension in our house between dogs, plus two have medical needs. so I was so so nervous to leave them. Sydney followed all my instructions and she even watched for signs of tension, healthy play, etc. Truly above and beyond—she spent a ton of time at my house and I came back to very happy dogs. Would definitely recommend her to folks like me with dogs that require a sitter who pays extra attention and care!”

About: I've been the go-to sitter for my family for years because they know how much I love to be around animals. I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I have two cats who are my whole heart, so I understand how important it is to have someone you trust to care for you furry family when you are away. I am a freelance artist and am usually doing various creative projects in the Pittsburgh area. Which gives me a very flexible schedule to focus on pet care. Whether your pet needs a walk, drop-in, or overnight care, I can usually accommodate short notice and regular routines. I'm happy to work with your pets specific schedule to keep things consistent and stress free. I provide most of my care in the client’s home to keep pets comfortable in their own environment and maintain their usual routine. Whether it’s walking, drop-ins, or overnight stays, I make sure they feel safe, relaxed, and loved. In my own home, I can only accommodate small dogs who are cat-friendly, since I have two cats of my own. Their well-being and yours are always my top priority.

“Sent pictures, followed instructions, my animals and my house have little particulars that she listened to well, too! My house was clean, animals were well taken care of and happy when I got back ❤️ Would recommend Cayla and will use again! Thanks again.”

“Tessa was great with our boys while we were away. She communicated everything really well with us and sent us daily update pictures. Will definitely be using her again next time we are going out of town.”

About: I was born into a family with a dog and have had a dog in my life ever since! Now I have a 7 year old pittie mix who is my whole world. I trained her and continue to do so to help her acquire new skills or just for mental stimulation. While I was a late-in-life cat lover, I now have 2 cats of my own who i cant imagine life without. Over the years I’ve had many friends, family, and coworkers trust me with their fur babies whether it was for a single walk, a feeding and play time, or stay overs while they were gone. I even have experience administering medicine to special needs animals. I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to your needs. Usually I am free in the mornings and afternoons. Evenings are tougher for me, but we can make something work! I will always want to do a meet and greet before caring for your animal whether I’m providing a walk or a staying with your fur baby over night. I want to make sure I’m the best fit and that you feel comfortable with your pet in my hands. I will defer to you in terms of safety and care (beyond the basics) as you know your pet best. As I get to know your pet, I’ll understand their preferences and triggers which will allow me to provide them with the best care.

“Traisaun is great. We have 4 active cuddly animals and even when we come home they will go and see if Traisaun is still here! He clearly treats your pets the way you would treat them (and sometimes even better because he puts up with more antics than I do!)”

“Sadie was great. She was available last minute to watch our dog over a holiday weekend and was able to do a meet and greet within a short amount of time. Sadie took great care of our dog, Schenley while we were away.”

About: Hello! My name is Jasmine and I live on the North Shore. I have a lot of pet care experience as I've grown up with dogs, cats, bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs-you name it-for most of my life. I have an unparalleled amount of energy as a person, so being with pets is a perfect match. I love physical activity, so whether it’s going for a walk or throwing the ball, it all works for me. Some of my favorite activities to do with pets include going to the dog park, playing fetch (with dogs or cats), darting a laser light around the room, playing hide and seek with cats, watching the cars drive by (very intriguing), and anything else your pet loves to do. Even if that means just simply relaxing and soaking up the sun. Whatever pace your pet prefers is the one I will adapt. All in all, working and playing with your animals will be the highlight of my day! I currently have a minimum workload, so I will likely be available at any time of your convenience. I can work in the mornings, midday, and evenings if necessary. This includes weekend availability as well. Depending on what service you’re looking for, I can easily get your pet suited up for a walk, any medication necessary, feeding, crating, cleaning litter-boxes or cages, snuggling, treats…

“Darra, as usual, was amazing! We let her know last minute that our car had just been diagnosed as diabetic and she made an extra trip to meet with us and learn how to give his injections and was so easy to work with and flexible. Highly recommend!”

About: Howzit 🤙 I’m excited to shower your pets with love! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, always treating them like family—with patience, consistency, and plenty of love. Over the years, I’ve built real-life experience from long walks, silly play sessions, cozy couch naps, and learning the little quirks that make each pet one-of-a-kind. Whether it’s boarding, daycare, or house sitting, my goal is simple: to make your pets feel safe, happy, and cared for—just like they’re at home. Because when your pets are with me, they’re family too. 🐾 I work full time from home Monday thru Friday, with weekends typically spent at the dog park, hiking, or camping (with my doggies). Pet care isn’t just a task in my day—it’s part of my rhythm. I start and end my days with walks, play, and feeding routines, and I naturally build in time for snuggles, potty breaks, and play sessions throughout the day. Whether it’s a weekday or weekend, I keep a flexible schedule so I can give your pets the attention they deserve. Caring for animals has always been part of my daily life, so fitting your pets into my routine feels like second nature. Whether your pets are with me in my home or I’m caring for them in yours, the routine is built around comfort, safety, and fun. That means sticking to their feeding schedules, giving them the right balance of exercise and play, and making time for cuddles and rest. I treat your pets—and your home—with the same care and respect I give my own.

“Grace is reliable and accommodating. She communicates as much as desired and, as a bonus, takes stellar videos. My pups were happy to have her take care of them.”

About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I have had dogs, cats, and many smaller critters throughout my life, and my own pets for over 25 years. My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing many animals, and continued that tradition into adulthood, so I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area from about 7am-3pm mon-thursday, so will not be available in the home or for potty breaks during those hours. The absolute longest I would leave a pet during a house-sitting is 8 hours on those days. All other outings/errands would be less than four hours, tops, but usually only about an hour. I am comfortable with more or less any pet, from rodents to lizards and I am not squirmish about even the creepy crawlies and slithery noodles. I can and have given almost every kind of medication there is, including subcutaneous injections, and am comfortable doing so with care and compassion and confidence. I am just starting out with professional pet sitting on Rover, I did it years ago in Seattle as a side gig on my own with Craigslist posts, and have had a couple gigs on here so far. I am clean, responsible, and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, and you can get a feel for my vibe and professionalism at that time, but I am sure you will like me and feel comfortable having me in your home. As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings. I also am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible, and will clean litter boxes daily and change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I work as a housekeeper from 7am-3pm mon-thursday around the greater Pittsburgh area. If you have multiple dogs who need round the clock supervision and you book me at least three weeks before the sitting start date, than we could work that out and I could block out my housekeeping schedule for that time and just be available for the sitting job (my rates will be increased in this situation as I am priced for my current availability, not constant care and being unable to make my normal wages during the sit). I don't do sitting in my own home since I have two cats and a husband and no fenced in yard. In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I will spend lots of time loving and socializing your pets, and I set alarms and try to keep potty breaks frequent to avoid accidents and less stress.

“Chelsea was absolutely outstanding! She was incredibly responsive, punctual, kind, and professional. She even came for a meet-and-greet to help our pup feel comfortable and stayed longer than scheduled to ensure she was okay. Flexible, caring, and clearly passionate—highly recommend!”

Mary S.
“I'm delighted to recommend Mary S. as a pet sitter on Rover. Having watched her grow up caring for our multiple cats and dog, plus numerous foster animals, I can confidently say she has a natural gift with animals. Mary genuinely "speaks cat" - she understands their unique personalities and body language, treating each one as an individual. She's particularly attuned to pets experiencing anxiety or depression, knowing exactly how to comfort them and meet them where they're at. What sets Mary apart is her medical knowledge and experience. Growing up in a veterinary household, she learned to administer subcutaneous fluids, manage diabetic pets with insulin injections, and recognize when a pet needs professional care. She combines this technical expertise with genuine warmth - during playtime, she gets down on their level and makes every pet feel special. Dogs adore her just as much as cats do. She's safety-conscious, responsible, and has that rare quality of making animals feel instantly comfortable. Mary is completely reliable - she won't skip anything in your pet's routine - and she's great about keeping owners updated with pictures and messages so you'll never have to wonder how your pet is doing. Whether your pet needs specialized medical care or just lots of love and attention, Mary will treat them like family. She's exactly the kind of person I'd trust with my own pets. Eileen A. M.S. Crafton Heights pet parents share their Rover experiences
Maddi was amazing! She sent plenty of photos and was very communicative. She was extremely flexible and accommodating as I had to add an extra day on to the original stay, and I am so grateful for all of her help. When I came home, my pets were all super happy and in great moods!!

Chelsea was absolutely outstanding! She was incredibly responsive, punctual, kind, and professional. She even came for a meet-and-greet to help our pup feel comfortable and stayed longer than scheduled to ensure she was okay. Flexible, caring, and clearly passionate—highly recommend!

Malik was awesome! He went above and beyond to watch our dog and home while we were away for the week. Pablo had a great time and we could tell he was happy while we were gone. Even though he’s high need and has lots of health issues, Malik took care of him so well that even with the stress of us being away, Pablo’s ailments continued to improve. Don’t hesitate to book with Malik!

Alyssa was such a great cat sitter! Our cat has a weird medicine routine, and Alyssa was able to help us out. Not only that, but we even learned new techniques on how to administer meds from her! While we were away, Alyssa was communicative and always sending cutie pics of our sweet girl. Would highly recommend!

We had a great experience with Taylor! She took excellent care of our dog and kept us updated with regular check-ins and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Communication was clear and consistent. She was also very respectful of our home—we came back to everything just as we left it. So happy to find another great sitter in the area!

Courtney was amazing! Highest marks all around! It’s a great feeling to be able to go away and know that your pups are in great hands! She’s super attentive and responsive and provided tons of updates and pics? Came home to happy pups and no issues! Couldn’t be happier!

Lauren stayed with our dog at our house for 6 days and was exemplary! Not only is she clearly a lover of dogs, but very professional, responsible and considerate of Gem’s needs. She communicated clearly with us before and during the stay, and when a minor glitch came up with the lock on our door, she let us know immediately and resolved the issue. She waited to make sure our return flight arrived on time before she left. Our house was in perfect condition when we returned. I highly recommend Lauren and would hire her again to take care of our doggie!

Tami was absolutely fantastic! She took exceptional care of both our senior dog and our home while we were away. She kept us updated regularly, which gave us great peace of mind. We came back to a spotless house and, most importantly, a happy and well-cared-for pup. It was such a relief to know everything was in great hands—highly recommend!

Ted watched our two dogs at our house while we were out of town. He was great with our dogs and provided daily updates of how they were doing. We also really appreciated that he left the house tidy and helped secure outdoor items when an unexpected storm can through.
