“Wonderful experience having Alex and Christine house sit and take care of our little dog. They did a great job, sent messages every day and pictures knowing that we missed our sweet companion. Highly recommend them, you will not be sorry.”

“Nicholas was caring, professional, stayed in touch during our trip and took excellent care of our dog and our home. Our dog was well adjusted when we returned home.”

“Porter is EXCEPTIONAL! Pebbles ADORES him! I read on here that he was very dependable (which was the biggest thing I was looking for). My experience with him was that he’s very dependable, he’s very dedicated to my pet’s care and safety, he kept my home clean, and I came home to a very happy pet. I could tell she had so much fun with him! I could not have asked for a more positive experience. Thank you, Porter!”

“Wow! This was our first experience with Rover and we were very fortunate to find Jeremy. Everything about the experience was first class. I highly recommend Jeremy, but I selfishly do so with caution. Everyone will want to hire him and he won’t be available for us next time. Definitely a 5 star experience. Jeremy was prompt, communicative, respectful, attentive to our requests, also to the animals, and flexible in his schedule. Thank you Jeremy.”

“Alexandria was a phenomenal pet sitter! We felt completely at ease and were able to fully enjoy our trip knowing our animals were in such good hands. She cared for them as if they were her own—attentive, playful, and always keeping our dog company. It’s clear our pets love her and feel comfortable around her. We’ll absolutely hire her again for any future travel!”

“Lesley was a life saver! We have 2 dogs, a cat, 2 mini donkeys, and a horse and she cared for all of them while we were gone. She even sent pictures of our babies which I love receiving while away from them. She gave them lots of cuddles and love; even if the cat may have forced her to cuddle more than anticipated 😅 we will definitely be reaching out to Lesley again whenever we need someone we can trust to watch our four legged babies!”

“Lawton did a fantastic job watching our dogs. They were happy when we returned and well taken care of. She took them on numerous walks/hikes, played fetch in the yard, and gave our elderly dog extra attention. She took great care of our home as well. She sent daily updates as well Would highly recommend her and plan to use her again”

“This was my first time using Rover, and the entire process was simple - and Max did a great job with our 4 pets! He scheduled time to meet us beforehand, and his communication and availability were great. Our dogs are high-energy and our cats have special diets, but Max took care of them without issue. He sent great pictures and we did not have a worry while we were away :)”

About: Hello, I'm Angela and I have been a dog and animal lover my whole life. I have watched dogs for family and neighbors for many years. My background is in psychology and I've definitely used that knowledge in understanding my own dogs and those I take care of. I'm currently undergoing a career change, so I have plenty of time on both weekdays and weekends to watch and play with your furry family members. I try to keep my availability as up-to-date as possible within the limited settings Rover has. I am adaptable to any routine that your pet is used to, such as feeding times and walks. I am familiar with rescues and the variability in their behavior and comfort with new people.
“Perri was wonderful with my dog Mac! She was really professional, sent lots of photos and updated a lot! I would definitely recommend her and will be asking her to watch my dog again.”

“Latasha was wonderful! From the beginning she came for a meet and greet and got down on the floor with my Percy! She asked very specific questions about his routine and wanted to ensure he was as comfortable as possible. During her stay she was very interactive with Percy. Took him on outings and walks and made sure he had plenty of play time and attention. On a night of a storm she let Percy sleep in bed with her to help comfort him!! Any concerns she had she messaged me immediately. She was great about sending updates and pictures to make sure I felt he was in good hands which definitely decreased my worries. Latasha treated my home with respect and left my home just as she found it. She even helped me with my newly planted garden to ensure it stayed watered while I was away. I will definitely use Latasha again in the future.”

“Heather is AMAZING! We have a VERY anxious 65 pound senior dog that doesn't like most people. The exception being, Heather. Our girl absolutely loves her and its such a relief to know she is in good hands.”

“Bennett did a wonderful job watching my two dogs while my family was on vacation. He bonded with both of them and helped them be comfortable while we were gone. I will definitely ask Bennett to watch my dogs again.”

About: I’ve worked at Banfield pet hospital in different states, expanding my knowledge of different species from different regions. My grandmother owned a grooming business when I was a little rascal, which allowed me to be around fluffy friends all day. I work a typical day shift so my home is up and active by 6:30am every weekday and we’re on a walk before I head off to work. Evenings consist of walks before and after dinner. I allow animals to roam home as a part of their natural curiosity. I’ll have very deep conversations with my furry friends because I know for a fact they understand me, just as I do them. I enjoy walking around the neighborhood and, on average, I bike 10 miles a day to stay in top shape.
“Emily was very responsible and sweet with our dog, Daisy. She has a busy schedule, but was able to work around that to take care of Daisy while she stayed at our home. We enjoyed having Emily dog- and house-sit, and will be asking her back when we have those needs in the future.”

“Maya was great! She made sure to get all important information beforehand and even offered to meet Winston before watching him. She communicated throughout the time and sent a picture. She is very nice and you can tell she really cares about your pet :)”

About: I have been pet sitting for the past 10 years in St. Louis, MO with a variety of dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, fish, and more! I love animals with my whole heart and would be more than happy to show them the love I know they’re deserving of! I also worked at a pet store called Treats Unleashed and a cat cafe called Whisker Station in St. Louis, MO where I was trained on behavioral pets and all types of pet supervision. I’m new to Rover but am not new at all to pet sitting! -I also offer plant watering and any other around the house tasks you may need while gone. -Back at home in St. Louis I have an american shorthair cat named Rue and two dogs; a pitbull named Spud and a black lab named Winnie. The thing i’ve missed most about moving away from home is simply being able to hang out with animals. I would love the opportunity to be able to care for you pets like I care for my own. Every animal deserves love, kindness, and lots of pets! I am a full time student at Transylvania University who is able to do check in visits or staying the night with your fur baby’s! My schedule isn’t too packed, just a few classes during the day, so your pets will get all the attention the rest of the day! I am willing to stay at the clients house to ensure comfortability for the pets. I have had four dogs, each with very different needs and differing aggression levels so I am able to handle all types of behavior. I also worked at a dog store called Treats Unleashed in St. Louis, MO where we provided grooming so I am trained on dog safety and supervision!
“I cannot say enough good things about Tea. She has watched Winston and Monkey multiple times now, and I always feel completely at ease leaving them in her care. She is dependable, kind, and clearly loves animals, my pets are always relaxed and happy when I get home, which says everything. I especially appreciate the updates and photos while I am away. It is clear that Winston and Monkey are getting not just the basics, but real attention and affection. Whether it is sticking to their routines or just spending time with them, I know they are in good hands. If you are looking for someone you can truly trust with your pets, I would highly recommend her.”

Country Life Acres pet parents share their Rover experiences
As usual Sarah was awesome. I would actually rate her six stars out of five instead of five. I was worried when I left on my 8-day trip because my dog was a little sick and I had to take him to the vet on the Sunday before I left and fortunately the numbers were good enough that the vet felt I could travel and he would be okay. That said Sarah went up to my vet for me and picked up some medication to help him get back on his feet. She was the one making suggestions of what to feed him to get him to eat and I think that's typical of her going above and beyond.

First time using Abigail. We were out of the country and she spent a week with our old boy, Django. She made sure and spent lots of time with him, sent us pictures and kept us posted on how he was doing. We were very happy with Abigail and will definitely use her again.
Abby took great care of my German Shepherd and my cat while I was out of town for several days. She kept me updated to everything going on with the pets and in the house, and I came home to calm, happy pets and a clean house with trash taken out and bedding already in the washer. Thanks, Abby!

Danica seemed comfortable with caring for two dogs, one being a puppy with us for just a month. I did leave detailed instructions to help with recall of verbal directions given at our meet and greet. Most directions were followed, as far as I could deduct. However, she did not use their food bowls to give them their food, as written in the reminder notes. The bowls had labeled dry food with treats for bedtime and a spoon for mixing with the refrigerated food. However, she fed them without the bowls and without mixing dry and cold foods. That was a puzzlement to me.
