“Ocean had such a great stay while I was away! I got tons of videos, photos, and updates throughout my trip, and she looked so happy and comfortable the entire time. She ate well, slept well, and clearly had an absolute blast. She came home completely exhausted from all the fun, which is always a great sign! It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was happy and well taken care of while I was gone. Would absolutely recommend!”

“April and her husband are amazing! Great communication and I received quality pictures and videos! The updates made me feel at ease. I could see that Mei Mei was enjoying herself and learned that she’s a natural guard for babies?! I appreciated the attentiveness and care they gave to her. Thank you for being flexible and patient with me as I adjusted the drop off time and ended up experiencing a delay en route. 🙏🏽 I would definitely book again and have peace of mind knowing she was well taken cared of. Good energy and dog lovers for sure. Definitely worth 🐾 - pawsing and considering. 😆 Thank you again! 🌼”

“My cat is always skittish at the beginning of boarding or any routine changes, but I could see how content and playful she looked in the photos and videos Cayley sent. I think she enjoyed the small family environment and was given everything she needed. Thank you for taking in Smoke when other plans didn't work out! We're glad to expand her circle of caregivers.”

“Dawn & her family were incredible! She was able to accommodate a last minute schedule change & saved our weekend getaway. Emmett had so much fun with her dog as well & came home ready to sleep the rest of the day away. I would highly recommend her to any pet owners who need a sitter.”

“Ryan & Abbey are great!! They are very responsive and they keep me updated with videos and pictures through out the day. I also love how flexible in schedule they are. This is my 2nd time booking with them and plan on doing any future bookings with them. They have a spacious backyard and I’ve been lucky they have had other playful dogs that get along with my pup which makes it a great time for my puppy.”

“Ziggy had a great time with Arthur & Hayley! We received lots of updates throughout the stay, and they were very communicative during the entire process. Easy decision!”

“Wow. If we could rate Stanislava and Mario 10 stars, we would! We boarded our Husky for a couple days and they took great care of her. They took her on walks and shared photos and videos of our Husky having a great time with the other doggies. Their backyard is big and provides plenty of space for the pups to run around and have fun together. Plenty of toys, good doggie company, and great communication from Stanislava and Mario. We picked up one happy dog, that’s for sure! I would definitely recommend!”

“We could not be happier that we found Dodi. She provided us numerous pictures and information on how our Molly was doing. It was evident how happy Molly was there and we felt she was being cared for very well. When we arrived to pick up Molly, Molly gave us a great welcome but also went back to Dodi wagging her tail and wasn't in a rush a leave. Wonderful experience! We will definitely use Dodi again.”

“Silvana and her family are amazing. My little pup, Ayla, is a rescue and she gets very skiddish around new people. I was nervous to leave her overnight, in fear that Ayla would be stressed and have separation anxiety...but she absolutely love staying there. Silvana sent pictures of her playing and having a great time! Ayla was so happy! Thank you for being so kind and flexible! ❤️❤️”

“Renata is amazing. This was my first rover experience and I was cared to drop off my anxious dog. Once I met Renata I felt super comfortable to leave my Lily. I highly recommend and will definitely come when needed. Thank you Renata!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cornell
First of all Ayni and Alfonsus are such a welcoming, friendly and kind couple. They were so sweet with my dog and treated him like his own child from the moment they met him. He was pampered beyond imagination which I am eternally grateful. Nervous, anxious dog no more after such a wonderful time with them! ❤️ truly appreciate them and the care and consistent communication throughout our time away! I can’t recommend them enough 🙌🏾🥰 I now need to find a way to make my dog understand he has to come back home 🤣❤️ thank you again for everything!!!

Our experience with Zenia was great from start to finish. She is responsive and a good communicator. My 6-year-old puppy has always stayed at my daughter's when I go out of town and I needed a sitter who could make him feel at home. I could see from the photos, (which Zenia sends daily,) that he relaxed right away and enjoyed snuggling, walking, and being with her dog Misty. Highly recommend!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
