About: I've cared for two dogs as I grew up, and look forward to caring for more. I have done many long walks and dog park hiking with my golden doodle, and have also done some training as well. I know how to take care of puppies and adult dogs, but would love to learn how to take care of special needs and senior dogs. Dogs, like mine, are energetic and need lots of exercise, so I am always willing to play or exercise with dogs. Over the summer (June-August), I am free most afternoons and some evenings the whole week. During the school year, (September-May) I am more available during the weekends, but still free during some afternoon/evenings during the week, which I'll update as I get my schedule. At home, I care for my dog by giving him plenty of snuggles, but also getting up and playing with him when he lets me know he wants to play. I am alert and can sense what my dog may need, such as going potty, playing, or eating. When walking/going to the dog park, I watch over my dog at all times, and walk along with him. During walks, I make sure that he is safe to walk and sniff the whole time. At dog parks, I encourage him to meet other dogs and run around while still being present. I notice when my dog gets tired or needs water, and I am prepared by bringing a water bottle.

About: I’m still getting into caring for pets but I truly love being around dogs all sizes and ages! I’m patient and understand trust takes time, and I enjoy earning trust and wagging tails from all dogs I come across! I currently work part time with Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays open. As a college student not able to have pets I’m excited to be able to help out anyone with a walk, especially as a walker myself on the regular. Unfortunately I don’t have a space to pet sit in my own residence, but I always make sure not to enter a home abruptly or quickly, and to let all pets sniff before I move!

With these dogs, it’s important to take things slow , boosting confidence by letting them lead at their own pace and helping to make them feel as secure as possible I work a 9-5 with most holidays and weekends off. If your pup does well alone for a while during the day we would make a great fit with walks and feedings in the morning and evening. If you need care over a holiday or weekend, I have flexibility to take care of dog friends that need less time alone. I have a resident dog who is a sweetheart and gentle girl who can keep your dog company. I will also be able to safely take your dogs on walks, to the park, and crate them while I’m away and at night as needed or if preferred. I can also administer medication, and feed separately from other dogs if your dog is food-reactive. We will always put safety first in every situation of play, rest, feeding, socialization etc.
