“Daniel is a great ssest to have as a dog owner. I've had great luck with Rover, but Danielle's by far the best. He's punctual and communicative even if this owner isn't always 😁”

About: Hello! I have been volunteering for a local shelter for over five years taking in an array of cats and dogs of all ages. I have fostered over 100 dogs and 200 cats. I have a fenced in back yard and let the dogs out and spend most of the time outdoors. We have a dog, cat, and my daughter. Someone is always home so we don’t have to crate (unless necessary) any animal. I would love to open my home to you or get to know yours! Someone is always home so your dog/cat will always have someone there for you. I will give your animal 100% of my care and attention while they are in our home. In my home I am able to be in the same room with with the dog in care. My dog sleeps in our bed so I am around animals constantly. There’s a fenced in back yard so when outside my dog is always with me as well. If I go to a clients home we will be just as attentive and respectful in this home. Whatever they need/ special diets / any special accommodations will be met (able to admitted meds or special foods /diets).

About: I've had a dog or a cat (often both) in my life ever since I was 10. I love making new furiends, so I'd love to meet yours! My pup (Bailey) has separation anxiety, so I’m very familiar with supporting special needs, giving medication, and training. We alternate between off-leash fun walks and on-leash training walks, so I can adjust to your dog’s needs. I’m also a big fan of playing, especially if your dog needs to get some energy out. I split my time between volunteering at my local library and walking dogs, so my schedule is flexible. I prefer to walk dogs in the morning or early afternoon. I don't sit at my home, but I love getting updates about my pets when I'm away, so you can expect plenty of pictures and videos of your pets!

“Alexis was responsive in a last minute holiday bind and was great! Our first time using her but we would be glad to use her again. Very sweet with our dog and handled everything great.”

“Anna is super sweet and very communicative! She helped out walking my dog very last minute which I so appreciate. Would definitely recommend her and will absolutely be using her again in the future :)”

About: For the last five years, I've gained a wealth of experience taking care of many different types of dogs. I've looked after the energetic Heeler, the loud Cavalier King Charles, and even the friendly Sheepdog! I generally specialize in smaller and medium sized dogs, particularly seniors and those with anxiety, though I am comfortable taking care of larger dogs as well. For all animals, I try to offer a gentle (but fun!) day that sticks as close to their regular routine as possible. I currently work full time as a grad instructor, so I primarily pet-sit on Thursdays (my day off), Friday evenings, weekends, and during school holidays. I also (occasionally) have some availability during week nights, so don't hesitate to reach out! I care for pets by first earning their trust with an extended hand, a soft voice, and no movements. Once the furry friend knows I'm not a threat, I do my best to match their energy while still following all provided instructions! Each pet and each day is unique, so I always take it one step at a time, putting the pet's safety and happiness first.

About: I grew up taking care of my family dog. Pebbles has a quirky personality - she keeps to herself and her favorite place to nap is in my dad’s suitcase. I feed her, walk with her, and cuddle with her on the couch for as long as she’ll let me. I also pride myself in being someone my friends can turn to when they need someone to look after their animals. I have cared for cats and dogs from senior chihuahuas to newfoundland puppies. I also have experience in animal care at the New England Aquarium. Though those friends aren’t quite as furry, it gave me experience monitoring health, following feeding and enrichment routines, and getting to know new animals. I’m currently in my last semester at UMass Amherst! My classes are midday Monday through Thursday, leaving my mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends free to care for your pets! It’s important to me to build a personal relationship with your pet. By doing my best to get to know them, I can ensure they are as comfortable as possible while I care for them!

“Hope is a great help and easy to work with. She’s quick to respond and very communicative. I have recommended her to friends and will continue to do so!”

“Coco enjoys Ali and the walks through the woods.”

“Wonderful energy with our family and Billie”

About: I am a speech-language pathologist in Greenfield, MA and love working with animals on the side when possible. I started dogsitting down in Rhode Island in 2014 while I was in graduate school. I've also grown up with dogs in my life (a black lab/german shepard mix and a yellow lab). I have some experience with puppy training and enjoy going on walks with and exercising dogs. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I can remember. I've grown up having a dog. My first dog was a black lab/German Shepard mix named Pretina. I would play with her, take her on walks, go hiking with her, and many more activities. My second family dog, Piper, was a yellow lab who I had since she was a puppy. I helped in her puppy training and have enjoyed all the previously mentioned activities with her as well. Many of my friends and extended family have also had dogs which I've enjoyed playing with and caring for. During my undergrad career, I petsat for my professor's yellow lab and thoroughly enjoyed caring for him when I was so far from my own dog. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication, though I would like to be shown how to administer it and practice with the owner before sitting for the dog. I have some experience administering insulin shots to a cat. I work in schools, so I am generally available before 8am and after 3pm on weekdays during the school year. During school breaks and summer, I have more availability. I care for your dogs following client preferences. I will let dogs out into a fenced in back yard, crate when left alone at home, keep on leash for walks, etc. as indicated by owners. In general, I would default to keeping dogs on leash during walks and not letting them out on their own unless the yard is fenced in.

About: Hi, I’m Jaclyn! I’m new to Rover, but not to pet care. I’ve always been an animal lover. I have taken care of family, friends, and coworkers pets for over 15 years. This ranges from cats, kittens, senior dogs and puppies, to rabbits, guinea pigs, and tropical frogs. I make sure to keep your space clean, laundry, dishes, vacuum, take in the mail, take out the trash. I want your home to be a safe haven when you get back, with nothing to tend to when you return. I am a wonderful companion, and I make sure your pet is happy, clean, litter scooped, fed, walked, and they will get lots of love and playtime. Animals love me! Whether they enjoy playing ball or walks, or snuggles on the couch, I want to make sure your fur-babies are happy and cared for in your absence. I have references on my website which I’m happy to share upon request. I provide a free meet and greet before sitting dates; I want to meet you and your pet, and ensure they are comfortable with me ahead of my visit. I love check-ins for longer stays and will send photos if desired. My house sitting overnight services are in high-demand so please book ahead for best results. Let me know how I can help! I look forward to meeting you ☺️🐶🐾 My main focus is on building dog walking and pet care services, so I’m available for all your pet care needs! I am often in Amherst or Greenfield and don’t mind traveling. My house sitting is very in demand so please book early. I have more flexibility for daytime walks. Thank you! I will go over your regular routines with you about your furry family member, and chat about what keeping your pet safe looks like. I love a good harness for walks, and carefully supervised backyard playtime. Wood trails are great for walks and I always keep a close eye and make sure your pet is not getting into any mischief! I exercise the utmost caution when walking on the street and keep alert for traffic or any other hazards. I care for dogs in a reassuring, calm way, with lots of praise and patience. I carefully assess dogs we may meet on the street to ensure safety and distance if necessary. I have a good eye for ticks and am always checking and finding them, but your dog should be treated for this too. Your best friend is in good hands with me!

“We started using Bree just over a week ago and she has been terrific! You can tell right away that she has a special bond with animals. She has been very responsive and dependable and has taken Bella on wonderful long walks in the woods and has added on backyard ball tossing. Bells is very happy to see her!”

About: Hello, I’m Sarah! When anyone asks me what my passions are I always say animals. I absolutely love all animals and believe they are an integral part of our families. Our fur babies should have the highest level of care when we can’t be beside them, which is why I can’t wait to take care of your best friend! I have raised two dogs, a Lhasa Apso and a Cavapoo. I’d be delighted to be a part of your pet’s care! I work remotely, so I can stop by over lunchtime or after 5pm! I am flexible and can certainly work with you to meet your schedule as best I can! Highest ethical standards are in place. I believe every pet deserves the best care, so you can be assured I will give your pet the highest level love and care. I will always respect your property and follow any directions left for me.

About: I am an active 20 something animal loving gal. Throughout college, I dog walked and house sat very regularly. Now I take on more long term house sitting gigs, but I am open to new drop in/dog walking clients. I am comfortable and have experience with all indoor animals (big and small) and some outdoor critters (think chickens, goats, etc.). I have familiar and comfortable with the needs of puppies and older dogs, I have experience taking care of both. Currently, I work part time so I an free throughout the day to visit your furry friends while you’re at work. Additionally, I don’t have many responsibilities at home (no fur babies or kiddos), so I have a generally flexible schedule for housesitting. I am comfortable caring for animals with any kind of needs. I am adamant about clear communication with owners to understand how to best care of their fur babies and keep them safe. I reciprocate this communication when caring for your fur babies and try my best to stay in regular contact with owners.

“Whenever I need someone to walk my dog or watch my cat, Aidan's my go-to person! “Elysse has been petsitting my 3 dogs and 1 cat for the past 3 years. Before I found Elysse, I used 3 different sitters who were not trustworthy or reliable. Elysse has been extremely trustworthy and most definitely reliable! I work rotating day and night shifts as a nurse and needed to find someone who could be flexible. Elysse has been very flexible and I don't have to worry if my dogs are being let out or if they are being fed. I am very happy that I have been able to rely on Elysse for the past 3 years, and I look forward to having her come play with my dogs and cat for years to come!!”

“I have been using Jaclyn as a petsitter for over a year now. She is sweet, attentive and treats my fur babies as hers. I have a mix of dogs and cats and even dart frogs. My senior dog is on medications and while on one vacation she even drove to the vet 1/2 hour away to pick up more medications for him. I have a new puppy and she has been so helpful. I’m so happy I finally found a good sitter!”
