“Kozue is a wonderful kind walker to our dog Theo. She is always prompt, reliable and also very flexible in case of emergencies. She also is an amazing dog photographer! I save all her photos.”

“This is our second time booking Patharapa, but the 4th time she’s walked our dogs (2 walks per booking). She’s awesome! Always on time, responsive, and takes great care of our pups. We will book her again.”

“Ashley has been walking my dog for a few months and she is amazing!! She’s super quick to respond to requests and always sends pics from walks. My dog loves her too - would highly recommend her services!”

“Julia literally gave our dog an extra cashmere sweater she had to keep him warm on his walks in the snow! She is incredible and has the biggest heart! Every morning Banx waits for her by the door- he can’t wait for his walks!”

About: Having grown up with dogs of all ages, from high energy puppies to senior dogs requiring patient care, dog behavior and body language are second nature to me. I know cues to keep them safe on the leash, and the provide structured, attentive care they get at home. When your dog is with me, you’re getting someone who truly cares and understand them, not just someone tracking steps I currently work from home and am a very active person. I am available most days of the week during the day and some evenings. My schedule is flexible so I can easily accommodate your needs! I live in a pet free home and tailor to making sure your dog feels comfortable in any environment whether it’s my home or yours!
“Hannah was great getting Logan moving in the middle of the day while I was at work. She's super responsive and was a huge help to me in my first week back in the office.”

“Carolina has been great. She came out to meet our dog, Max, and was not at all put off by his size (95 pounds) or energy (overly enthusiastic), which can be intimidating. She keeps us posted on all of his walks, and (most importantly) Max seems very happy with the arrangement.”

“Tali had a great walk with Maggie! I appreciated that she came over to meet Tali earlier in the week before the walk and Tali loved her instantly. She was flexible with some time changes and kept me updated after the walk sharing lots of pictures. Will absolutely continue to have Maggie walk my pup!”

“Amanda is incredibly responsible, thoughtful, and such a dog person. Rosie was in love with her at first sight. Lucky to have her as part of my "dog team."”

About: Fostered animals (dogs, puppies, cats, kittens) with the RHSPCA while in college and want to continue caring for animals post-grad! I have experience treating animals with various medical conditions (blindness, oral medication, topical medication). I love going on walks but my cat is not a fan so would love to take a dog along:) I work from home and take walks early in the morning (7am) and noon during my lunch break. I am also available after my working hours at 5pm. I am an animal lover and make sure my pets are well-cared for. I want to ensure every animal is safe, happy, and fed. I love to bring dogs on enriching walks and to make sure they’ve gotten the proper amount of exercise for their breed.

About: I have had 10+ years taking care of both dogs and cats! Growing up, my parents adopted both puppies and senior dogs with various health conditions. I have experience taking care of dogs with conditions ranging from blindness, to pancreatitis, to a heart tumor. In addition, I helped my family take care of a senior cat from age 13-18. Since he lost the ability to groom himself, I have plenty of experience brushing/declumping cat hair. My partner and I adopted a kitten in November, 2025 who is now 1 year old! I am a 4th grade teacher so am very free during the summer months (all day)! I have availability on all weekdays and weekends. During the school year, I have availability on weekends and weekdays after 4 pm. I care for pets as if they are one of my own. I will follow any routines/procedures pets are accustomed to and take good care of them.

About: I recently graduated with a PhD from George Mason University, so I'm highly organized and detail-oriented. I love animals of all shapes and sizes, and pet sitting provides much-needed joy and balance to my sedentary work at a computer. I work remotely with flexible hours, so I am able to accommodate specific feeding times, frequent check-ins, and potty breaks. As a proud cat owner, I'm very observant and knowledgeable about cat behavior and body language. I provide calm and gentle care that helps even the most timid cats feel secure and safe in their own space. I am skilled with trimming nails and brushing, and am happy to provide those services upon request, depending on your cat's tolerance. I also have several years of experience managing overnight house sits and walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments, including Greyhounds, Pit Bulls, and Australian Shepherds. I am able to care for and manage a wide range of dog energy levels. Whether your dog is high-energy and needs a brisk walk or is an elderly senior who requires a slow, gentle pace and careful supervision, I’ve got them covered. I'm currently working a fully remote, part-time job so my schedule is very flexible. I am able to offer drop-in visits any day of the week, any time of day between 8am and 8pm. I offer overnight visits for up to 3 consecutive nights. Home visits and overnights: I double-check that all doors are securely locked after every visit, bring in mail, and ensure your home was well-maintained during my stay. Leash Safety & Walking: On walks, safety is non-negotiable. I use a secure grip, stay highly observant of our surroundings, and never allow interaction with unknown dogs or people on the street unless you give me permission. Whether handling a strong, high-energy breed, or a sensitive, anxious dog, I maintain total focus and connection with your dog. Cat Care: For drop-ins, I make sure to provide for all your cat's needs including changing water, feeding, scooping litter, and playtime, grooming, and cuddles as requested. I also take time to read your cat's body language—if they want play and interaction, I'm fully present; if they prefer a calm presence from a distance, I respect their boundaries. I'm experienced with brushing and cleaning ears, so I am happy to offer that upon request, depending on your cat's temperament and needs. Updates: You will receive detailed updates and photos during every visit and at regular intervals during overnight stays.
About: I love all dogs, but I've grown up taking care of primarily large dogs like Pitbulls. My neighbors rely on me very often to take care of their pets when needed. I currently have a very flexible schedule while I am going to college online. I am available during the week and some weekends! Pet care is already built into my daily routine, so please let me know how I can make your day easier by spending some time with your fur baby. During the walks your fur baby is my main focus. I love going for long walks to get some energy out, but short walks are also nice. I walk my sweet dog separately from other fur babies to alleviate the stress of dog introductions.

About: Hi! I’m a big-time animal lover who’s been dog walking and pet sitting since 2011. I’ve had the chance to care for all kinds of pets: big, small, fluffy, scaly, and everything in between! I truly treat every animal like my own and would be so excited to meet your furry (or not-so-furry) family members! I’m fully remote, so I have a lot of flexibility! I can work from wherever and have a flexible schedule I can move around to accommodate your needs. I live in an apartment but it is on the lobby floor so no need to worry about elevators or stairs. I have no pets as well.
Colonial Village dog parents share their Rover experiences
Albedardo is such a genuine and trustworthy guy! We love him and so do our pups! Our little dogs are like our children so we need to be sure that anyone we entrust their care to is going to treat them with love and kindness. Albedardo does this and then some. Absolutely top class young man, super reliable and flawless communication always keeping us informed of even the tiniest details so that we’re never left wondering how the visit went and how the dogs are doing when we’re not there. Highly recommended!
