About: I’ve had all types of animals growing up, dogs with illness, behavior issues, and more as well as caring for puppies and kittens in all their growing and learning stages I currently have 3 cats, I live with my parents so we all vary the responsibilities but I handle more delicate issues like injuries, nail clipping , and slight grooming when needed. I’m a student at sac state and I’m unavailable only on Tuesdays and Thursdays but we can make anything work. I prefer to come to a clients home as I have 3 cats but could manage clients cats in my room where I can provide a safe comfortable space away from my cats at all times. Outside in our fairly large and safe yard, my cats will stay far away. At clients homes I am comfortable and respectful, I stick to rules and boundaries set by both of us to create a real connection with you, me and your furry friends.

About: Hello! My name is Laura and I'm 38 years old. I grew up in the country and my mother had a dog grooming studio in our house. I have always loved animals and grew up with dogs, cats, birds, ducks and horses. As an adult, I have worked at animal shelters and for private rescues. I am reliable, caring and will treat your pet like they are a member of my own family. I currently work nights, part-time in the restaurant industry which gives me plenty of free time during the day to care for your furry family member(s)! I tailor each experience to match your pets needs. I am up for anything including, long walk, adventurous hikes, leisurely strolls, playing in the back yard, snuggling on the couch and more. I am happy to spend whatever time and energy your fur baby needs!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 16, helping neighbors, friends, and family. I’ve mainly worked with energetic small to medium sized dogs and love every minute of it! I handle feeding, walking, bathing, and playtime, and I enjoy teaching simple tricks to keep pets happy and engaged. I’m patient, attentive, and enthusiastic, making sure pets stay active, entertained, and safe. I also communicate regularly with owners so they feel at ease and confident that their pets are receiving the best care! I have a good amount of time to dedicate to pets since I’m currently taking only three classes and don’t work. I’m available throughout the weekdays and weekends. My class schedule is: Monday: 3:00–4:25 PM Tuesday: 7:30–8:50 AM Thursday: 7:30–8:50 AM Friday: 9:00–10:25 AM Pet care fits well into my routine because my classes are short and spread out, giving me plenty of free time before and after. I’m happy to stay extra time if needed! I prioritize safety and comfort in every pet’s home! I supervise them at all times, follow the owner’s instructions for feeding, walking, or routines, and provide lots of love and attention. I also keep a clean, calm environment so pets feel relaxed and happy while in my care!
About: Hi, I’m Vahid! I’m a retired professional athlete who loves staying active and spending time outdoors with dogs. Walking, running, and playing with dogs is already a natural part of my daily life. I previously had a Husky named Jessica, who taught me a lot about high-energy dogs and their need for exercise and adventure. Today I share my life with two rescued Golden Retrievers, Teddy and Bella. They are my fur babies, and caring for them every day has given me a deep understanding of dog behavior, energy levels, and how dogs communicate. Both Teddy and Bella were rescued—one from a shelter and one from the street—so I’m very patient and comfortable with different personalities. I truly believe dogs talk to us if we have the ears to listen. My English is still improving because I’m currently studying English, but my “dog language” is very strong. Because I’m active and spend a lot of time outdoors, I love giving dogs the exercise, playtime, and attention they need. Whether it’s a walk around the neighborhood, a trip to the park, playing fetch, or simply relaxing with belly rubs and ear scratches, I treat every dog like family. My goal is simple: when you come home, your dog is happy, relaxed, and had a great day. I’m very active and already have a daily routine with my own two dogs, so caring for pets fits naturally into my schedule. I’m available for dog walking and drop-in visits throughout the week and weekends. I enjoy spending time outdoors and making sure dogs get the exercise, attention, and care they need. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I’m attentive, patient, and always focused on safety. During visits I make sure pets are fed, comfortable, and relaxed. I follow the owner’s instructions carefully and give pets plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise so they feel happy and secure.

About: I have over 25 years of hands-on animal care experience, starting in childhood on a farm and continuing throughout my life. Caring for animals has always been a core part of who I am, not just something I do. I have extensive experience with dogs and cats. I am comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including pets with more medicine needs. I work with animals of all sizes and dispositions. I am very experienced with medication administration, including oral medications, subcutaneous injections in cats, injections in dogs, and specialty medications such as cancer treatments, which I administer carefully and safely using proper protective equipment. I am also familiar with veterinary care routines and attentive to changes in behavior or health. I am known for being gentle, patient, observant, and calm, even in challenging situations. I have significant experience caring for senior pets, animals with medical needs, and cats with strong personalities or aggression. I respect animals’ boundaries, read their body language closely, and know when to give space and when to confidently stand my ground so everyone stays safe and comfortable. What truly sets me apart is how deeply I care. I love getting to know each animal as an individual, learning their routines, preferences, and quirks, and interacting with them in the way that works best for them. I take pride in making animals feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for while their humans are away. I’m trustworthy, attentive, and fully present when I’m with your pets. I will likely give them silly nicknames and may even sing to them, but above all, I will treat them with kindness, respect, and the same level of care I would want for my own animals. I work from home, which means my schedule is very flexible, and pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. Because I’m not tied to a rigid office schedule, I’m able to plan my days around pet visits, routines, and any special care needs rather than trying to fit them in between other commitments. I’m proud to be one of the go-to pet sitters in my Sacramento community, and I take that trust seriously. When I commit to caring for pets, they receive my full attention, not rushed or distracted care. I’m able to reliably maintain feeding schedules, administer medications, provide enrichment and companionship, and keep up with daily care tasks that help pets feel comfortable and secure. I understand how important consistency, calm, and reliability are for pets when their people are away. My flexible schedule allows me to spend quality time with each pet, observe their behavior closely, and notice any changes early. I communicate clearly and provide thoughtful updates so pet parents can feel confident and at ease while they’re gone. Pet sitting isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule. It’s something I intentionally make space for. I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and am excited to continue offering dependable, attentive, and compassionate pet care to my community. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my approach is centered on safety, consistency, and respect for each pet’s routine. I take the time to understand each pet’s needs, preferences, and any special care instructions so their environment feels as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow established feeding schedules, medication instructions, and care routines carefully, and I’m experienced administering a wide range of medications when needed. I’m attentive to behavior, appetite, energy levels, and overall comfort, and I address any concerns promptly and thoughtfully. I prioritize creating a calm, clean, and secure environment. I’m mindful of doors, gates, leashes, litter boxes, food storage, and any household safety considerations. I respect pets’ boundaries and personalities, and I interact with them in the way that works best for them, whether that’s active engagement, gentle companionship, or giving them space while still keeping a close eye on their well-being. Communication is very important to me. I provide regular updates, including photos, so pet parents can see that their pets are comfortable, happy, and well cared for. I’m responsive, transparent, and proactive with communication, which helps owners feel confident and at ease while they’re away. Above all, I care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. I take the responsibility seriously and treat every pet and home with the same level of care and respect I would expect for my own.

About: I had dogs for my entire childhood and as an adult, I regularly volunteer at our local shelter to take shelter dogs out for the day to help socialize them, give them love, and to just give them a change of scenery. I would be honored to care for your fur baby! I currently work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, so I have very flexible availability those days so I can fit your pup’s needs. I work Tuesday through Thursday from 8am to 4:30pm, but am fully available afterwards. I have a large fenced backyard with plenty of space for your pup to run around if needed. I am happy to board, so long as your pet is comfortable staying in the yard. We have rabbits in the home, so unfortunately we cannot have dogs indoors.
About: I have four pets a Chihuahua,Schnauzer, and 2 Huskies. They all bark a lot and I can control them. I taught them all their tricks like sit, stay, down, and more. I would love to take care of your pets. It would help if your dogs would not try to bite me or other pets. I used to volunteer at an animal rescue shelter for 4 years, worked with small tiny pups all the way up to senior dogs. I hope you let me take care of your pet. And if it is more than one pet that is fine. All I want is the love from a pet so I can cherish every moment with them. Thank you very much! In my home, I ensure the space is clean, pet-proofed, and free of hazards, with plenty of room for pets to relax and play comfortably. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, exercise, and any special instructions provided.
“Christina is an absolute gem and my dog loved her, and I’m very happy to have found her as I don’t trust a lot of people with my babies. She takes his time during the outings to make sure Lily, Reggie, and Bella are comfortable and thoroughly appears to enjoy her company. Christina notes and cute photos during their walk. She arrives on schedule for her walks and is a great communicator. On a busy day at work, I am reassured by the report cards he sends, and I trust that he will notify me right away if there is ever a concern. On top of his attentiveness and professionalism, Christina has a lovely energy and is very comfortable to interact with. If you're considering choosing Christina for your furry friends just do it - here prices are very reasonable, and I'm sure his roster will be filling up fast - we are so happy to have found him. Thank You, Christina! Nicole, Lily, Reggie, and Bella greatly appreciate you and your cute son 😊”

Colonial Heights dog parents share their Rover experiences
Amina was great! She responded to my request quickly, was punctual and proactively communicated. My grand dog warmed to her immediately and they had a great walk. She also helped me navigate the Rover app since I’m old - lol. I highly recommend her for walks and if I lived in the Sac area full time, I would use her regularly. She gave me peace of mind knowing he was well cared for. She was professional and personable and I can’t thank her enough!

Andrea is amazing. I had a logistically complicated day, coming through Sacramento from 1.5 hours away for a doctor appointment and then continuing on for the last two hours of my trip. I'd never met her so I was worried about all the chances for something to go wrong. But everything was *perfect*. First, Andrea was amazing about staying in touch, and answered questions quickly and cheerily. She was extremely flexible, and even showed up a bit early so I'd had no reason for anxiety. My pup Willie loved his time with her and her boyfriend. It couldn't have been a better experience. Thank you, Andrea!

Tyson was immediately accepted by our dog, Chance. Then he only needed to hear the walk and feed instructions once, so keeping Chance inside of his routine as much as possible and providing us with peace of mind. Really happy with Tyson and grateful for his natural way with animals.

Milagros is an excellent companion and walker for my dog Rex. Rex needs a walker who stays alert to his surroundings and is able to anticipate situations which might cause problems. Milagros handles all of Rex's anxieties and redirects when needed. Rex comes home happy and relaxed. Milagros walks Rex 5 days a week while I recover from a broken leg. She is on time, communicates well, and enjoys Rex. I trust her completely and am grateful to have found Milagros to help out for the next couple of months.

Emily is great - reliable, communicative and a very calming presence for my pups. They are always excited to see her and are happy and tired after their walks. Emily also keeps an eye on my older girl and brings her back early if she's getting too tuckered out. They even seem to behave themselves with her so she has been a very good influence.

Deanna was open to hearing about my dog's behavioral challenges and receptive to implementing strategies that have worked for him in the past. She was generally easy to communicate with and she sent an extensive update after the walk. I would not hesitate to hire Deanna again to walk my dog!
