“Ashley is my very first walker from Rover. She arrived on time. She asked great questions, and was helpful in laying down the plan for Jacqui. My dog can be a snob in meeting new people, but because of Ashley’s personality and ability to follow instructions, Jacqui felt comfortable letting Ashley remove her harness towards the end of the walk! What a big relief on my side! I will be using Ashley again for future walks.”

“Italia is incredible! She is so loving and kind to my pups as well as thoroughly details their daily journeys and behaviors. During our meet and greet, my pups were immediately drawn to her. I have such peace of mind when I leave my pups in her care. We are beyond lucky to have her in our lives!”

About: I have over 25 years of hands-on animal care experience, starting in childhood on a farm and continuing throughout my life. Caring for animals has always been a core part of who I am, not just something I do. I have extensive experience with dogs and cats. I am comfortable caring for pets of all ages, including pets with more medicine needs. I work with animals of all sizes and dispositions. I am very experienced with medication administration, including oral medications, subcutaneous injections in cats, injections in dogs, and specialty medications such as cancer treatments, which I administer carefully and safely using proper protective equipment. I am also familiar with veterinary care routines and attentive to changes in behavior or health. I am known for being gentle, patient, observant, and calm, even in challenging situations. I have significant experience caring for senior pets, animals with medical needs, and cats with strong personalities or aggression. I respect animals’ boundaries, read their body language closely, and know when to give space and when to confidently stand my ground so everyone stays safe and comfortable. What truly sets me apart is how deeply I care. I love getting to know each animal as an individual, learning their routines, preferences, and quirks, and interacting with them in the way that works best for them. I take pride in making animals feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for while their humans are away. I’m trustworthy, attentive, and fully present when I’m with your pets. I will likely give them silly nicknames and may even sing to them, but above all, I will treat them with kindness, respect, and the same level of care I would want for my own animals. I work from home, which means my schedule is very flexible, and pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. Because I’m not tied to a rigid office schedule, I’m able to plan my days around pet visits, routines, and any special care needs rather than trying to fit them in between other commitments. I’m proud to be one of the go-to pet sitters in my Sacramento community, and I take that trust seriously. When I commit to caring for pets, they receive my full attention, not rushed or distracted care. I’m able to reliably maintain feeding schedules, administer medications, provide enrichment and companionship, and keep up with daily care tasks that help pets feel comfortable and secure. I understand how important consistency, calm, and reliability are for pets when their people are away. My flexible schedule allows me to spend quality time with each pet, observe their behavior closely, and notice any changes early. I communicate clearly and provide thoughtful updates so pet parents can feel confident and at ease while they’re gone. Pet sitting isn’t something I squeeze into my schedule. It’s something I intentionally make space for. I genuinely enjoy caring for animals and am excited to continue offering dependable, attentive, and compassionate pet care to my community. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my approach is centered on safety, consistency, and respect for each pet’s routine. I take the time to understand each pet’s needs, preferences, and any special care instructions so their environment feels as familiar and stress-free as possible. I follow established feeding schedules, medication instructions, and care routines carefully, and I’m experienced administering a wide range of medications when needed. I’m attentive to behavior, appetite, energy levels, and overall comfort, and I address any concerns promptly and thoughtfully. I prioritize creating a calm, clean, and secure environment. I’m mindful of doors, gates, leashes, litter boxes, food storage, and any household safety considerations. I respect pets’ boundaries and personalities, and I interact with them in the way that works best for them, whether that’s active engagement, gentle companionship, or giving them space while still keeping a close eye on their well-being. Communication is very important to me. I provide regular updates, including photos, so pet parents can see that their pets are comfortable, happy, and well cared for. I’m responsive, transparent, and proactive with communication, which helps owners feel confident and at ease while they’re away. Above all, I care for pets with patience, attentiveness, and genuine affection. I take the responsibility seriously and treat every pet and home with the same level of care and respect I would expect for my own.
“Cory was super professional and very friendly. I have a senior dog and Cory made me feel secure that he is capable of taking the time with him that he needs while also letting him get out his energy. Was also very good with communication and setting days and time before hand which helps tremendously with scheduling. Highly recommend reaching out.”

“Beth was professional and gave momoe the attention we wanted while we were out and about. She paid special attention to our notes and we would recommend her again!”

“Very kind, attention to detail, loving walker/sitter for My Scamp. Aicha is thorough and thoughtful and I look forward to continuing to book with her! Scamp is so happy and loves showing her around the neighborhood.”

“Michelle is very easy to work with and communicative. She immediately connected with our dog! Our dog loves walking with her so much! And I love getting the notes and pictures she sends! :)”

About: Eight years ago my husband and I adopted our first dog, Foxy Cleo. At a year and a half old, she had been returned twice. It was our mission to show her love and affirmation - we knew we would be her final, true home. Unfortunately, she recently lost her battle to cancer which seemed to have happened overnight. We loved her so much, and she showed me the reward of caring for and loving her in return with that sweet face and wag of a tail. I'm so happy to have been her dad. Foxy was a healthy, active, happy dog - we'd play all the time, go on hikes, and runs at Curtis Park. I'm more than happy to help with your dog (or cat) when life gets in the way. I work from home, so I'm able to be very attentive to your loved one. I have a relatively flexible schedule and can quite often adapt as needed. We have a quarter of an acre yard that's fenced in for them to play in. When my dog was alive, we would play outside quite frequently. I also live close to Curtis Park, and she and I would go on long walks there a couple of times a week.
Fruitridge Manor dog parents share their Rover experiences
Emily is great - reliable, communicative and a very calming presence for my pups. They are always excited to see her and are happy and tired after their walks. Emily also keeps an eye on my older girl and brings her back early if she's getting too tuckered out. They even seem to behave themselves with her so she has been a very good influence.

Deanna was open to hearing about my dog's behavioral challenges and receptive to implementing strategies that have worked for him in the past. She was generally easy to communicate with and she sent an extensive update after the walk. I would not hesitate to hire Deanna again to walk my dog!
Bailee is awesome! She walked Bird twice this week and was super kind, communicative, and easy to work with. Bird loved her right away! We talked about her possibly sitting for an upcoming trip, which is huge for me because I’ve never felt comfortable leaving Bird with anyone before. Knowing she’s a vet tech gives me a ton of peace of mind too. So glad I found her!

Meski went above and beyond in caring for our French bulldog! We absolutely loved all the thoughtful photos and little notes she sent during our time away—it gave us so much peace of mind. Our dog has special needs, and Meski accommodated him with such patience and genuine care. It is clear she truly loves what she does. We will be booking with Meski for all of our future pet care needs! Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving pet sitter.

Elissa was great, personable & has a good attitude for the job. She took great care of my dog and communicated with me daily. My dog seems to miss her and was checking the door in case she was coming for a visit, I think! I will definitely request her again if she is available.
