About: I’ve spent most of my life caring for dogs and have personally trained five dogs with different personalities, needs, and learning styles. Over the years, dogs have been much more than pets to me, they have been members of my family. That experience has given me a deep appreciation for how differently every dog communicates, learns, plays, relaxes, and builds trust. I’m especially passionate about canine behavior and body language. I pay close attention to the small signals dogs use to communicate how they’re feeling, whether they are excited, nervous, overstimulated, curious, playful, or simply in need of some quiet time. I believe good pet care starts with understanding the individual dog rather than expecting every dog to respond the same way. While I am not a certified dog trainer, I have substantial hands on experience with training, positive reinforcement, routines, boundaries, mental stimulation, and everyday dog care. I believe dogs thrive when they are given a healthy balance of affection, structure, exercise, enrichment, freedom, and clear expectations. My current dog, Charlie Girl, is a 2 year old Boxer/Hound mix with an incredibly happy and social personality. She has responded exceptionally well to training and has reinforced how much I enjoy working with dogs, learning from them, and helping them feel confident and secure. Caring for her every day includes walks, training, play, mental enrichment, affection, and plenty of time to relax and be part of the family. I also understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. My goal is to make that decision easier by treating every dog with patience, attentiveness, and respect for the routines and boundaries their family has established. I enjoy providing regular photos, videos, and updates because I believe clear communication helps owners feel connected and confident while they are away. Ultimately, I want every dog in my care to feel safe, understood, engaged, and genuinely welcomed. Seeing a dog relaxed, happy, and comfortable is something I find incredibly rewarding, and I want to provide that same peace of mind to every family I work with. Caring for dogs is already a central part of my daily life, and I am committed to making pet care a dedicated part of my work. My 2 year old Boxer/Hound mix, Charlie Girl, has a daily routine that includes walks, training, mental stimulation, play, affection, and plenty of time to relax and cuddle. I bring that same level of attention and involvement to the dogs entrusted to my care. Because I am intentionally dedicating my time to pet care, dogs staying with me are part of my day not something I simply fit in around a busy schedule. I enjoy being actively involved with them throughout the day through play, enrichment, positive reinforcement, companionship, outdoor time, and exercise. I believe daily walks are important for both physical exercise and mental stimulation, and when appropriate for the individual dog's age, health, routine, the weather, and their family's preferences, I aim to provide up to an hour of walking and outdoor exercise each day. I also know how difficult it can be to leave your dog with someone else. Communication is a major part of the service I provide, so I enjoy sending regular photos, videos, and updates throughout their stay. I would rather communicate too much than leave a family wondering how their dog is doing. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable second home where dogs can relax and enjoy themselves while their family is away not an environment that feels like being placed in a kennel. I have a comfortable home with a fully fenced yard where dogs have room to play, explore, enjoy supervised outdoor time, or simply relax. I take a calm, patient, and structured approach to caring for dogs. I believe dogs thrive with a healthy balance of affection, freedom, exercise, positive reinforcement, and clear rules and boundaries. Structure should help a dog feel secure and understand what is expected of them without taking away their opportunity to be a dog. Understanding canine behavior and body language is especially important to me. I pay attention to the smaller signals dogs use to communicate whether they are excited, uncertain, overstimulated, uncomfortable, ready to play, or simply in need of some quiet time. Every dog has its own personality, history, routine, and comfort level, and I believe good care starts with respecting those differences. Charlie Girl is a happy, social dog who genuinely enjoys connecting and playing with other dogs. Even so, I never assume that two dogs will immediately be comfortable together. Introductions and interactions are handled thoughtfully and supervised, with each dog's behavior and comfort level determining how quickly they progress. I also make it a priority to follow the routines and expectations established by each dog's family, including feeding schedules, sleeping arrangements, walking routines, training cues, boundaries, and other care instructions. Consistency can make being away from home much easier for a dog. Most importantly, I take the responsibility of caring for someone else's dog seriously. These animals are members of their families, just as the dogs throughout my life have been members of mine. I want owners to leave knowing their dog is being watched closely, treated with patience and respect, given meaningful attention and enrichment, and welcomed into a home where their safety and well being come first. Regular photos, videos, and checkins are part of that commitment so you never have to wonder how your dog is doing.

About: Hello! I’m relatively new to Rover, but entering the game with a lifetime of experience in pet care and house sitting. I absolutely adore animals and am ready to be your pet’s new bestie. I specialize in caring for cats and small to medium sized dogs, but I’m flexible, so please feel free to reach out with questions. Since joining Rover in June, I have assembled quite the motley crew of pet friends with a wide range of personality types and needs. I love both cats and dogs, so every pet in your family will be in good hands with me. I’m comfortable caring for senior animals, helping with their special eating habits or medication routines. I also have the patience and/or energy to hang with your anxious angels (shout out to the pandemic pets). Puppies and kittens? Pets still in training? Bring it on. I won’t panic if your pet’s manners aren’t perfect. I have two beloved indoor cats (Ellie & Ripley) and help care for my neighborhood cat colony (Cowboy, Bandit, Siren, Margo, Andy, Daisy, Mugsy, etc). Every kitty has a unique personality and different needs. I’m happy to learn your cat’s individual routine and quirks so you don’t have to worry about their standards being met while you are away. I grew up with 2-5 dogs in the household at a time, which gave me hands-on experience with dogs of various sizes, breeds, and stages of life. Whether your precious pup needs extra patience, playtime, or just someone to keep them company, I’ve got it covered for you. I’m primarily a self-employed artist/small business owner who works from home so I have an extremely flexible schedule. Feel free to reach out with last minute requests, especially if you are re-booking a service and I have already met your pet before. As a house sitter I am clean and respectful of each pet owner’s personal space. I will take quality care of your home so that you have one less thing to think about while traveling. I aim to treat everyone’s home and pets the way I would want mine treated: protected and loved, with attention to detail.

About: I love playing with and walking dogs. I am also a cat lover. No matter the pet, I like to get to know them, what makes them unique and how I can win their affection. I have been watching friends and family’s pets for the past 7 years and grew up taking care of a dog and a few cats. I have experience with younger and senior dogs, senior kitties and being around kittens basically 24/7. I’ve administered medication to foster kittens and have fed a very picky senior cat. I would be honored to help keep your pets happy and healthy and would do whatever I can to make them feel loved and cared for. I am happy to visit for feeding, walks or playtime during your busy work day. Friday-Monday require a couple days planning in advance. I’m currently looking for a full time job, so I’m very flexible. I am happy to meet whatever the needs are for your pets, whether feeding, playing, brushing, medication. I love playing with pets and giving them pets. Give me clear instructions and I will be set. I am unable to host/board pets due to my apartment rules.

About: I've been a pet owner and animal lover my whole life! I grew up with both cats and dogs, and have experience volunteering in animal shelters and watching friends' pets. I currently own both a dog and cat, and am happy to take care of both. I understand that pets are family and I'll treat them like my very own. I will provide a calm, reliable, caring experience for your pets. I am currently able to accept short-term overnights (3-4 nights), with the possibility of a longer commitment with drop-in visits. My job is somewhat flexible, but your pet must be ok with staying alone for at least 4 hours at a time. My current job provides me with a very flexible schedule during summer months. I can work most hours of the day (mornings, afternoons, evenings) and am more than happy to book any last-minute requests for sitting or walks. I have a car so I can easily drive to clients' homes for walks, check-ins or overnight stays. I have experience running my own small business, and I understand the importance of organization, communication and reliability with my clients. I love animals and getting to know them, and I will take care of your animals as if they're my own.

About: I’ve been around pets my whole life. I have my own cat, Button, whom I love dearly and have taken care of pets for my friends lately. I am in between jobs so I am free to work with whatever schedule you have. If you have leftover food that needs to be used, I’d be happy to not let them go to waste. I prefer to care for your pets in their home territory. I am very easy going and happy to follow any instructions you have for me.

About: I grew up in a family where every house had a dog, so being around them was just part of life. I helped feed them, walk them, and train them from the time I was a kid. Over the years, I picked up on their moods and needs without even thinking about it. It wasn’t just about taking care of dog it was just what we did, and it taught me a lot about responsibility, patience, and how to really connect with animals. I currently have open availability due to taking a break from school at the moment. Right now I have all the time for pet care.
