“Jennifer and her Family (human and fur) are a fantastic fit for Cleo. She is a high energy dog and comes home fully exhausted from her playdates with Jennifer, Rosey and their team! My husband told me it was the "perfect fit" for Cleo and us!”

“Debra was great! Amazing communication, sent me pictures of my pup throughout the day, and he came home exhausted, so I know he was played with and loved on. Thank you so much!”

“I highly recommend JD if you need doggy daycare in his area. JD Is compassionate and very knowledgeable in canine behavior . My dog was well cared for at her stay. I would use his services again if we’re in the area.”

“Petra and her family do a great job taking care of Otter and Toby. I get updates throughout the day with photos and both pups are always so excited to spend the day with Petra. She is very accommodating and has been great with my rescue pup Otter, making him feel at home. I have been using her daycare services weekly for over a month now, and have had nothing but great experiences with Petra!”

“Oliver did great with Jenna and her family. When I picked him up he was very happy, in good spirits, and loved hanging out with all of them. He got lots of play time and was all tuckered out when I picked him up. They were all very kind and I could tell they had fun with him. I would highly recommend Jenna and her family. :)”

“Susan is amazing! A little background on me, I got my baby Kyro as an ESA, and he’s really been that for me. When I’m away from him I suffer from really bad separation anxiety, meaning I can’t stop thinking of what he might be doing and I even get extremely emotional to the point I can’t stop crying. I recently went to Vegas to visit my brother and I’m usually able to fly with Kyro since he’s my ESA, but because of the whole pandemic I thought it would be best for Kyro to stay with a sitter back home. The entire trip I was crying, I was just an emotional wreck and I just thinking about how Kyro was doing. The sitter wasn’t being responsive to me, I would ask for pictures and would get a reply 2 days later. It was just a bad experience for both of us, it made my anxiety worst and caused me to come back early. When I came back I found out he was being caged during his entire stay despite me telling the sitter that he didn't do good in cages. I found out because he even hurt himself trying to get out of the cage. Well after that I was obviously very skeptical leaving him with another sitter but after Kyro’s stay with Susan I have no doubt in my mind that Kyro and I will be going back with her. As soon as Kyro got home from Susan’s he went straight to sleep, he was worn out from all the playing her and her dog. I highly recommend her! She sent out pictures of Kyro’s stay which is always a plus. We did a meet and greet prior to the sitting and she made me feel comfortable from the get go. She explained her routine and introduced us to her pets, she also showed us her backyard and let me tell you my Kyro loved it! There’s plenty of space and grass area. Something that I was worried about was Kyro’s meals, he only does raw food and she was nice enough to accommodate to his needs and provide the attention he requires during his meal time. Also she’s very responsive through messages which always makes it easier on someone with my situation. Thanks Susan, not only are you helping me take care of Kyro but you’re also helping me ease my separation anxiety I have with him.”

“Tracey is so communicative, and that’s what I need being s first time dog mom lol. Bruno came back so tired, I am so lucky to have had Tracey and her two doggies playing with my boy! She sent photos, and let me know he was settling in ok, updated me and asks if it’s ok to feed them treats. When I picked Bruno up, Tracey summarized his stay and I love that so much! I’m so glad I found Tracey and that Bruno made new friends! I will be bringing Bruno back again ?”

“We don’t live in Santa Cruz but everytime we come through in the future we’ll try to visit Lisa! She’s so warm, kind and friendly. Our lab had an amazing day at the beach, just steps from her front yard!”

“Paul takes great care of Cozy and always sends pics and videos. Cozy was pulling to get to Paul’s front door when we arrived and obviously feels very comfortable at his house. Thanks Paul! Cozy is looking forward to next time.”

“Built trust with my spicy chihuahua who escaped his harness and collar and got them back on by the end of the day. Thank you Kayla for communicating and being flexible!”

“I had a last minute request for my friend who hasn’t used Rover before through my profile since I was watching her two dog babies earlier in the week. My friend had las minute cancellation of her dog sitter for her wedding day that was so stressful for her. Carlie response right away and made my friend and I felt very comfortable right away. I had a last minute request for her to pick up the babies at the wedding venue and she arrived on time and was lovely. I really appreciate you Carlie, you went above and beyond. I know Milo and Mac were in great hand.”

About: I live in the Corralitos mountains with 2 English Setters, Toby is 9 years old and Finnegan is 5 years old. We have a 15 acre property to walk/hike. We also have a stream to freshen up in hot days. Plenty of room to play. I’m home based and keep my eyes on the puppies 24/7. No better place to enjoy the outdoors and play with Toby and Finn (both are neutered, and super friendly with other dogs small or big) I’m home based, keep my eyes on my puppies 24/7. I give them lots of playtime and rest. I let them play outside several times a day and I also give them 2 daily long walks, morning and evening I have 15 acres of land, I like to offer them lots of time outside (always supervised). I also walk them inside the property to ensure daily exercise.

“Bumpy’s first stay with Keren was perfect. He was so excited to see he was going back to her home when we drove up. Bumpy and I had done a meet and greet with Keren and another family, the other family was nice and I could tell they love dogs but Bump didn’t seem to be very comfortable. During our visit he stayed close to me and didn’t do much exploring. He had such a different reaction to Keren and her family, from the minute we walked in her door he was gone, sniffing, exploring, meeting the dog of the house. To see such a marked difference in his reaction made my chose easy, he was letting me know which family he preferred. So to pick him up at the end of his first stay with Keren and find him happy and tired after a trip to the beach and a walk was wonderful. I could tell he had bonded with Keren and I will not hesitate scheduling another visit.”

“Nieves is such a nice person! Our dog Buddy doesn’t usually warm up to people very quickly, but he was best buds with Nieves from the get go. She and her grandkids got along with Buddy like Mac and cheese. We really appreciated her taking him for the day so that we could go for a long mountain bike ride. We highly recommend her to any dog parent! She’s fantastic!”

“I am so grateful Ashlyn was able to accomodate my last minute planning. They handled TWO huskies (my Jenna is a trouble maker) I was nervous because I never used rover and was hesitant because I’ve never left them alone other than family. Dakota and Jenna had a blast and now they’re both just laying on the floor with Dakota spreading eagle 🤦🏻♀️😝 Would recommend and will definitely let you know when I need dog sitting again in the future! Thanks again!”

“Debra was very attentive and had the utmost respect when watching over our pups. Everything in her profile lives up to She was very responsive since we didn’t give her a definitive time when we were going to drop the pups off and was very flexible and accommodating. I will definitely use her when I return to Morro Bay and highly recommend her to anyone who needs babysitting. She constantly updated us with Picts and she has a huge backyard that allowed them to run around.”

About: I have had a love and passion for all animals since I could walk. I have spent years fostering animals through several rescue organizations and the happiness of my dog and cat is the center of my life. My dog is my best friend and we do almost everything together. I will treat your dog as if he/she were my own. I am currently working part time and making my own schedule which means that I have a lot of flexibility. I can drop in at a moments notice. I have a large, fenced yard and a friendly, playful Labrador. I have the ability to separate or crate animals if needed, but I always keep a close eye on my pets and will do the same for yours.

About: Hello! My name is Alex and am I certified non-aversive, positive reinforcement dog trainer from (and still currently residing in), beautiful Santa Cruz, California. I ran my own canine training, boarding and day care in San Francisco (Golden Gate Good Boys LLC), for the last two years but I am starting over again, where I started as I have moved back home away from my clients in the city. I grew up with family cats and dogs and when I was in college I volunteered at shelters (Maxfund in Denver), and trained/fostered some of our senior citizens and more challenging residents (2 of which I ended up adopting: a blind and toothless pug named O and an elderly german shepherd). Many of the dogs we cared for had aggression issues, little to no training, no confidence and were fearful of people but we never gave up on them and as a result the vast majority of our dogs were adopted into their forever homes (Maxfund is a no kill shelter). At the end of the day I am above all else an animal lover at my core and since I moved back to Santa Cruz, unfortunately it was no longer making financial sense driving up to SF 5 days a week for my clients since the move. It would be my absolute pleasure to host your good boy or girl whether that’s a play date, a walk, day care, in-home boarding/house-sitting or training through my website. I am American Red Cross Canine and Feline First Aid certified as well! It would fit into my daily routine seamlessly! I currently work from home so my days are my own. I don’t have to report to an office and my freelance work (I provide video production, editing, motion graphics and audio engineering services when I’m not working with dogs for a number of clients in and out of state), allows me the freedom to choose my hours and stay at home. First off, I am first aid Canine and Feline American Red Cross certified in case anything happens to your family member. Secondly, It all depends on the needs of your pet! If you have a smaller dog, they’ll have to go out for potty’s more often. If they’re energetic then lots of walks/runs and playtime in the backyard. If they have abandonment issues they’ll have to sleep in the bedroom or somewhere close where they can see us and know we’re here. If they’re reactive or sensitive to stimuli, whether that’s loud noises or another pet/animal or quick movements then it’s a quiet, calm and safe environment they’ll need to make strides in daily training exercise; every cat or dog is different and has different needs. They might have medication that needs to be administered at certain times of the day or they have mobility issues, it all depends on the needs of your pet and what they need to feel safe and comfortable!

“Allison is a truly compassionate and reliable pet caregiver. She treats every animal like her own, with patience, love, and attention to detail. Something I appreciate about Allison is her patience with not only my 3 year old Australian Shepard (lots of energy) but my 12 year old Border Collie who needs special care with his age. She gives each of my dogs quality time and attention. She has been my go-to pet sitter and dog walker for many years. I would not trust my fur babies with anyone else. Colache Town dog parents share their Rover experiences
I hired Keren S. to look after my new dog, a mini Dachshund that I had purchased 10 weeks ago, so that I could participate in our annual family reunion at a nearby resort that does not allow pets on the property. I could not leave him with any family members, because they were all staying at the resort. I used Rover.com to find in-home pet sitters/boarders in the area, found several, but Keren's posting caught my eye because she used the term "Concierge" to describe her services, and that is exactly what I wanted, because I wanted to spend substantial time with my new 1-year-old dog every day, but I also wanted to spend substantial time at the resort with my family. Keren was absolutely wonderful! She requested that I bring my dog to her house and spend an hour with her, during which she showed me her home's floor level and back yard arrangements for dog care, introduced each of her 3 dogs and the 2 dogs she was currently providing day care for, and we had an enjoyable and (for me) educational discussion and Q&A about dogs and dog care in general. I felt very comfortable as I left her home: my dog had already made friends with her two smallest dogs. Keren was flexible and very understanding when I had to change my drop-off and pick-up times repeatedly over the next few days, due to changes in planned times for family events that I wanted to attend. I have been satisfied with other dog sitters in the past, but Keren has "raised the bar" for me. Not only did she enable ME to enjoy my vacation, she made it an enjoyable vacation for MY DOG, too! He had three days of playing with his new dog friends, and I know he greatly enjoyed -- and benefitted from! -- that experience! When we picked him up and returned home, it seemed like he had matured by 6 months in those three days. Two Thumbs Up for Keren S! Check her out!
