“Dianna and Matthew were excellent hosts for Blue. Dianna goes above and beyond to ensure you have all the peace of mind you need when leaving your dog. It was easily my best experience with Rover yet and I won’t hesitate to book with them again. Thank you!”

“Brittani provided wonderful care to our energetic doodle when we recently passed through town. She sent photos and it was clear that our dog felt very comfortable in her home. Thank you, Brittani!”

“Garrison is such a sweet and caring person ! We have had our dogs stay with her a couple of times for weekends away and they always have an amazing time. She is great at giving updates and sending photos of them so we feel like we aren't missing anything. You can tell she really cares for them. We will be having our pups stay with her again !”

“Lourdes and her family always take such wonderful care of Fergus. She provides amazing communication with pictures and videos throughout the day. We always feel secure knowing he is happy, safe and loved. Thank you, Lourdes!”

“Cara and Dan were wonderful to work with. Sadie is a rescue and can be very skittish so I was delighted that she was so comfortable at their house. She warmed up to Cara more than Dan but I really liked both of them very much and would book again! Thanks Cara and Dan for providing a safe and caring environment for Miss Sadie🐶”

“Tammy took great care of my little man! Her home is so welcoming and plenty of space for the pups to run around! I could tell he was very spoiled at her place! I'm so happy to have found a spot ill be able to take him all the time that I can trust!”

“We couldn’t be happier with Crystal. She took very good care of our elderly dog, Blue, and sent updates with pictures daily. Her fenced in yard is perfect for the dogs to exercise and socialize. We are definitely booking with her again soon!”

“Elizabeth and her family were the perfect sitters for our little Maisie. I was constantly updated with pictures of the family taking her for walks and giving her lots of attention. Will definitely try to use them again.”

“Our Lexi warned up to Sophia almost immediately, which is unusual for her. As a senior pup, Sophia had no problem giving Lexi her meds, which was comforting. Sophia was also patient with Lexi's accidents. Communication was good and pictures of Lexi appearing completely at ease warmed our hearts. Thanks, Sophia!”

“We could not have asked for a better sitter for our dog while we were out of town! Thomas took him on many adventures and sent photos every day showing us how he was doing and what they were up to. Highly recommend!!”

“Lauren and Justin were amazing! They provided daily photos and updates on how our dog was doing, which gave us so much peace of mind. Their fenced-in yard is fantastic, and their own dogs are just the sweetest. We would absolutely use them again in the future and highly recommend their care!”

“Haley and her fur babies were amazing hosts to my little blind guy Luca. Always sending pictures and updates. Thank you so much for the peace of mind I got while having him stay with you.”

“Amy was lovely to work with and was very accommodating of our and our dog's needs. Her offer to pick up and return our dog took a stress off of a busy travel schedule. We would definitely recommend her!”

“Ever since I’ve found Ricardo I’m able to travel without any worries he updates me frequently with pictures and how beans is doing. Glad to have found him and will be using him from here on out 😬”

“Our first time taking a trip without our beloved Rocky. We could not have left him in better hands. The daily updates were great, and he seemed to have a great time. I highly recommend Xiting and would use her services again if she is available.”

“Elliot and Dominique were both wonderful care takers for our girl Shy. The daily, sometimes twice, pictures and messages made us enjoy our vacation even more. You could tell she was being well taken care of, and enjoying herself with them. She warmed up to them quickly, which was reassuring because, dogs know who the good people are! We would 💯 have them watch over Shiloh again! Thank you for caring for her like we do!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clifton Springs
Amazing amazing amazing Jeffrey is the absolute best with the dogs!! Additionally my truck broke down and I could not get to my dogs so he kept them longer and insured not only that they remained happy not ensured I knew that as he kept sending a ton of fun photos.

Jeffery helped me out in a pinch and watched my dog Ruby for several days. He provided frequent updates and photos during her stay, which helped me feel at ease. You can tell he’s very passionate and thoughtful when it comes to dog care. Lots of activity during the day and other dogs to play with. Ruby seemed to have a wonderful time!

I needed a caregiver for my 10 week dachshund for a 1.5 day event. At first I was very hesitant to leave my little guy with anyone but Jeffery was amazing. He provided such great care from the time i dropped the puppy off to the time i picked him up. Jeffery was very good at providing updates and photos of how well my little guy was doing. We plan on having Jeffery care for our dog for our next event.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
