“First time using Rover and I was a little nervous but Claudia was amazing! Very prompt, left very descriptive notes and my dog was happy. She put my mind at ease while I was gone and she ensured my dog was given love and extra cuddles :)”

I’ll treat your home with respect and care for your pets as if they were my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. 🐾

“Mariah is so good with our fur babies (Lola and Phoebe) and sends us photos of our kitties every day when she’s watching them. We truly appreciate the attention to detail she shows our babies each time she visits. We have peace of mind knowing they are in good hands. ❤️”

“Stephanie was amazing! Very professional, communicated well, and was overall very attentive with our boys. Our AC went out halfway through the week, and she helped us troubleshoot the problem from 3 states away. She also made sure to check on the cats and make sure the house wasn’t too hot without the AC. Overall, we had a great experience and we plan to book with her again for our next trips as well!!”

“Amber really loves my baby!! She also reinforces the commands and reprimands that I do so I’m not starting all over every day with my puppy. She takes time to update me and makes sure she has a good time even if it’s for just 30 minutes. So grateful for her!”

“Brandon and Mary C. were absolutely wonderful with Millie! They dropped-in Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and went above and beyond every single visit. They made sure she got outside, spent time playing with her, practiced tricks with her, and even took lots of pictures so we could see how she was doing. It was clear that they genuinely cared about her and wanted her to have a fun, happy visit each time. We came home knowing Millie was well taken care of, and that gave us such peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend Brandon and Mary C. and will definitely be booking them again! 🐾❤️”

About: Let our home be their home away from home!!! Dog lover since my 1st puppy at 3yo and now passing that down to my 2 boys that love to help me care for our dogs and the ones that come to stay with us. I pet sat for neighbors, family, and friends growing up and still do to this day. My 1st real job was taking care of the animals being boarded at a vet clinic when I was 14yo. I joke and say my first job was a professional pooper scooper. Here I would feed and medicate dogs as needed. Other aspects of the job included dog walking, cleaning kennels and runs, loving on them and playing. I have fostered for extended periods of time for people to help with different circumstances until they could take their dogs back. This helped to save these dogs from having to be rehomed. I will help keep pets with good families in any way that I can. I have also had experience in dogs with special needs. I cared for my own dog, Bubba, with Megaesophagus from 8wks old until he passed at 8yo due to complications of his illness. His care included preparing his food in a blender and special feeding accomodations in a Bailey's chair daily, numerous medications, nebulizer treatments, injections, and standing upright after drinking and special maneuvers to help keep his lungs clear whenever he would aspirate. Adjusted many aspects of my life and my dog's for him to thrive and live as long as he did. My current fur babies are Chaos (Lab /Mastiff), Mayhem (Bully/Pit) and Pippa (Beagle/Bassett). I love all dogs as if they were my own. I have cared for and owned dogs of various breeds and sizes. I rescued a highly anxious and fearful dog when she was 2yo so I have experience with patience and building trust. Walking, feeding, play, medication administration can all be done. Let me know any special thing that your dog needs and I will take care of it as long as I'm able and if I'm not I will be straight forward with you. I will strive to send you at least 1 update and picture daily while in my care unless you would like more. I work from home so I'm always available days, nights and weekends if your pup is staying at my home. My schedule is very flexible. Willing to do walks no matter what the weather may be. If you need me to come to your house I am available throughout the day. I can be available with notice and if you don't mind my one son tagging along with me if you need help outside my home in the evenings. I too have experience with many other animals as pets (we referred to my house as "The Zoo" growing up) or sitting for family and friends when on vacation. I have experience with cats, mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, small lizards, frogs, turtles, snakes, and birds. Sorry I will not help with your pet tarantula. Our home has a 6ft fenced backyard with locks always on the gates. Also a good size neighborhood to take your pooch on walks. My 2 young boys also love to help with caring for our own pups with my help, don't worry they won't be the ones walking your dog. If I am coming into your home I will respect your property and privacy. Your house your rules! I have experience with giving medications, shots, and nebulizer treatments as well as wound care for dogs. Any special considerations/needs for your furry family member I am happy to follow.

I work only 2–4 days a week, and there is always an attentive family member at home, so your dog will receive plenty of supervision, companionship, and affection throughout the day. I grew up in a family that always had pets, including dogs and other animals, so caring for animals has been a lifelong passion. Those experiences taught me how to understand different pet personalities, needs, and routines from an early age. My family has a 7-year-old Cavapoo named Bentley, and I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. I treat every dog as if they were my own and strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I live in a dog-friendly neighborhood with plenty of walking paths and open green spaces nearby, giving dogs lots of opportunities for exercise, exploration, and fresh air. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, cuddles on the couch, or a calm, relaxed environment, I tailor their care to their individual needs. My healthcare background has taught me to be observant, dependable, and detail-oriented, which is especially valuable when caring for senior dogs, following special routines, administering medications, or recognizing changes in behavior. My goal is to give pet parents peace of mind while ensuring their dogs feel happy, safe, and loved during their stay. 🐾❤️ Caring for fur babies naturally fits into my daily routine. As a nurse, I am flexible with plenty of time to dedicate to the pets in my care. On the days I am home, dogs receive regular walks, playtime, attention, potty breaks, cleaning cages, and companionship throughout the day. Pets are never left alone for long periods and continue to receive supervision, care, and interaction. My dog, Bentley is family, so daily walks, feeding schedules, exercise, and cuddle time are already built into my routine. I live in a walkable, dog-friendly neighborhood with nearby green spaces, making it easy to provide multiple walks and opportunities for exercise each day. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clayton
Writing Shannan is truly an amazing person! ❤️ I had an emergency and reached out to her for a last-minute drop-in to check on my grandpup, and she immediately stepped in to help. Her kindness, reliability, and willingness to show up when we needed her most mean so much. I’m incredibly grateful to have her in our lives!

Patrick and Bahiya are absolutely amazing! We’ve used them several times for dog drop-ins and for watching our two dogs while we’re out of town, and they’ve become our first choice every single time we travel. They are dependable, caring, and treat our dogs like their own. It gives us such peace of mind knowing they’re taking care of our family while we’re away. We’ve always had a great experience with them, and they consistently go above and beyond to make sure our dogs are happy and well cared for. At this point, whenever we’re going out of town, Patrick and Bahiya are the first people we reach out to. We couldn’t recommend them more highly!

We were so lucky to have Melissa take care of our pups while we were away! She was wonderful about sending photos and detailed updates. She gave them such great attention during her drop in visits, you could tell they were so happy to see her. We would definitely recommend using Mellisa to care for your pets!

Fantastic sitter; highly, highly recommend!! Calailah was very kind to our two kitties even when Orion wasn’t very kind to her at first. Orion usually doesn’t like new people but he warmed up to Calailah in one day- the fastest he’s ever warmed up to someone! Will definitely be reaching back out next outing!

You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
