“Stefan was absolutely amazing. He was communicative, reliable, and so kind with our dogs. We came home to happy, calm pups and a spotless house. He went above and beyond in every way. As a fun surprise, he even showed us a few magic tricks (yes, he literally turned $2 bills into $20s 😂). But most importantly, we felt completely at ease knowing our dogs were in great hands. We would 100% book him again.”

“Allorah was an awesome pet sitter! She sent photos regularly and kept in constant communication in everything concerning our girl. It was so much better than I expected and I felt a ton less stressed knowing that our girl was being taken care of well above what we could have asked for. Icing on the cake, she left our home exactly how she found it, no extra messes to clean up. Thank you so much Allorah, we will definitely rebook with you next time.”

“Repeat sitter with Kristina, highly recommend! She is always kind and welcoming. She respects our home and treats our sweet boy Declen with the upmost care. She keeps you updated every step of the way and sends pictures as well.”

About: I have watched friends, family and family friends pets throughout my life. I love making new fuzzy friends and providing care for your best friend with peace of mind so you can enjoy your day, vacation etc. I work part time and am in school online. With that I can be readily available for your pet during the time you need. My schedule is always the same to make time for your pets schedule and needs. I have 3 cats and a dog. I take my dog on long walks everyday and go to the dog park about twice a week. He has a set schedule for his feeding and needs. My cats just live their best life inside my home with plenty of treats and scratchers around.

“Nate was great! He stayed with my two dogs while I was out of town and took care of everything I needed him to and more! He kept me updated every step of the way. I would definitely recommend him!”

“Morgan was a great communicator. I did not need to guess how things were going. I received multiple photos and texts. Additionally, she was very patient with energetic large puppy!”

“Yvonne loves our pets like her own and puts us at ease when we are travelling. We highly recommend her for anyone that wants to be rest assured that their pets will be in good hands and we will use her again and again!”

“With three pets, including one with separation anxiety and another with special needs, finding someone I trust completely isn’t easy. Missy has exceeded every expectation. She’s been pet sitting for me for a little over a year, and I truly can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my pets. I travel frequently for work, and knowing they’re with someone who loves and cares for them like they’re her own is absolutely priceless. My pets adore her. They’re genuinely excited to see her every time she comes, which tells me everything I need to know. She sends great updates, takes amazing care of them, and gives me complete peace of mind so I can focus on work instead of worrying about what’s happening at home. She’s reliable, kind, attentive, and treats my animals with so much love. If you’re looking for someone to care for your pets, I can’t recommend Missy highly enough. Your pets truly couldn’t be in better hands.”

“Therese did an amazing job with our boys! Our dogs typically bark at new people but during the meet and greet they went up to her no problem. She sent us daily updates and took great care of everything!”

“Heather was fantastic with our Bella. She also went above and beyond house sitting. She communicated with us daily, sent us pictures and was a pleasure in all ways. We definitely would recommend her 1,000% and will use her again and again.”

“Angie did an excellent job taking care of our pups ( one very senior) she sent lots of pictures and updates during her stay, House and dogs were well taken care of. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter. We can’t wait to book her again when the need arises!”
“Heather did an amazing job taking care of our babies. My Schnauzer is a really nervuos/anxious dog but she made a connection with Heather since day one. Having Heather at the house taking care of our babies gave us a sense of calm for our vacations. We were able to enjoy our trip without any worries. You will receive photos and communication from Heather. She will also leave your house how it was for when you return. Things were easier with Heather in the house. Thank you!!”

About: I've watched family and friends animals for years. I love large dogs the most, but always down for a small dog cuddle. I am usually the first one to give attention to the animals when I walk in a home. Im experienced with young and older dogs, cats, birds and donkeys. I can do morning or evening walks. Some times i can do lunch walks as well, depending on how far you live from me. I can do house sitting as well. I enjoy taking walks with the dogs, giving lots of attention and playing fetch or having playtime with toys. I used to have my own dog, but due to a move, he went to live with a friend.

About: Hello, my name is Hayley and I am an experienced pet sitter. I have been doing this for many years for my family and friends and I decided to turn it into a side hustle. I have a wide range of experience with pets with medical needs, high maintenance for grooming, and temperamental behaviors. I currently have a Great Dane/ Coonhound senior, so I am familiar with giant breeds. I am very flexible and can adjust to your schedule. If you need special care for your pet, I am willing to work around what you need. For my Great Dane/Coonhound senior, he takes 5 supplements a day to keep him healthy. He walks about 3 miles a day to ensure he has enough time outside and gets good exercise. Given his size, I have a printed and laminated list of bloat symptoms inside his treat cabinet. If any of these symptoms arise we immediately reach out to the vet.
“Suhail was wonderful! She kept us updated throughout our trip with pictures and messages, which gave us complete peace of mind knowing our dogs were in great hands. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter, and we will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Shelley was very communicative during her stay. After a rough start for not having the code to our door (completely my fault) things went very smoothly. Daisy and the house were well cared for.”

“Luciana was wonderful with our 11 week old puppy. With him being so young and requiring so much attention we were nervous to leave him for the first time, but Luciana knew exactly what he needed and how to take care of him. He immediately loved her! She sent us lots of updates and communicated with us throughout the day. We will be using her again!”

Zainob was fantastic watching my sassy little dog for 2 weeks while I was in Europe. Daily photos, updates, and reached out any time there was a question. She's incredibly kind, accommodating, and attentive to details. Will absolutely trust her with my dog again in the future. Highly recommended.

Once again, Stefan was wonderful sitting our house and taking care of our heeler, Indiana. Our boy hit his little GPS step goal every day and seemed well-played-with, and our house was still immaculate when we arrived back home. Embarrassingly, we forgot we had a bunch of big monthly Amazon Subscribe & Save boxes arriving while away, and Stefan even stacked them all neatly off to the side for us to deal with when we got back. Very thankful for his care.

Ally was incredible! We are new to the area so I was nervous finding a new pet sitter, but was so lucky to come upon Ally. She took the time to come meet me and the pups weeks prior to her stay which made me feel so comfortable when it was time to leave. We got multiple photos each day and it was evident our pups were happy and healthy and well taken care of . She left the house clean and in great condition. Will definitely be contacting her again for any future trips!

Brigit really came through for us at the last minute, we were about to move our trip because our usual sitter was booked and it’s always a little nerve wracking to find a new one! But she will definitely be one of our go-to’s from now on and we’re so glad we found her. I could tell she genuinely loves and cares about animals and when she said her clients are her babies that’s when I knew we would be okay, I genuinely got the impression that she would protect Muffin at all costs. We were able to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing she was in good hands. She also kept the house so clean and followed all directions. We could not appreciate her more and are glad to have her in our sitter rotation!

Heather did an amazing job taking care of our babies. My Schnauzer is a really nervuos/anxious dog but she made a connection with Heather since day one. Having Heather at the house taking care of our babies gave us a sense of calm for our vacations. We were able to enjoy our trip without any worries. Catherine was an amazing pet sitter! She took excellent care of my dogs, and kept me updated with messages and photos, and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I’ll definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for trustworthy care.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Citrus Ridge walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Citrus Ridge maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Citrus Ridge choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Citrus Ridge. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
