About: Usually when people small talk, the topic of animals comes up. “What type of pets do you have??”. Nothing prepares them for the “Oh!! I have a bearded dragon, ball python, cockatiel, and toads…I also foster dogs and cats”, sentence. Their faces never get old 😅. You heard me right though! Not only have I owned cats/dogs, I also pride myself in having owned a vast variety of reptiles/amphibians/avian/small mammals over the years. I have been fostering both cats/dogs for the past year as well. Providing me with experience in grooming, bathing, administering meds, enrichment, and attention. I’ve dealt with many emergent situations, strengthening my knowledge and preparedness with any animal. Why stop at just cats and dogs when you could enjoy so much more? What separates me from other sitters are the platters I’ve already been dealt. Fostering, as well as owning non traditional animals, has thrown me for several loops that I would’ve never experienced by just owning a cat or dog. Pet care is the majority, if not all of my daily housework. When I foster animals, all of them need hourly upkeep on food, medicine, and play time. Easily translatable to your pet! My apartment is deep cleaned on a weekly basis; a necessity when caring for many animals. I value a organized, clean space for all my animals. I care for pets by providing basic necessities, plenty of toys, and a loving space for them to thrive in. My animals receive weekly, if not daily, wellness checks. I check for weight loss, dehydration, fleas/lice, nail length, and matting. When feeding, I make sure everyone gets proper nutrition (with a few treats ;)) and there are no signs of fatigue or unwillingness to eat. Proper behavioral signs are noted, and I can catch on to behavior that is abnormal and needs attention.

“Charlene, Dave and their children are the sweetest and most loving people. They always make sure my puppy is well taken care of and treat him like their own doggies. They are so patient and always update me when I’m away! 10/10!!!!”

“There is a reason why Sam has so many 5-star reviews and this review is no different. The minute my sweet boy met Sam, he was at ease with her. She is so kind, communicates well and treated Gunnison as her own. He was worn out (in a good way) after every successful daycare. I would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I love animals... Specially dogs they are full of love and there is so much to learn from them, without having to speak they have such a good communication. I have a 16 year old beautiful shihtzu and I have taken care of him since I got him, from walking multiple times a day to grooming.I usually take care of my friends or family dogs when they have to leave town. I know taking care of a dog is a big responsibility and there are different situation in life where you can't take him with you and want to leave it in the best hands and making sure they are receiving the best care. Your dog will have the best care. I work from home and only leave for 2-3 hours every day. Some days I am home all day. This will ensure that your baby will have proper care, attention and lots of love while staying I offer a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment with a fully fenced backyard. perfect for safe outdoor play and potty breaks. Dogs in my care enjoy supervised time outside, indoor relaxation, and plenty of love and attention throughout the day. I stick to your pet’s feeding schedule, keep water bowls fresh, and provide a cozy space to rest. Whether your dog is playful or prefers quiet time, I create a routine that feels like home.

About: I have spent many years volunteering at a wolf rescue. 12 years spent locally fostering and foster fails which we have adopted into our home. All breeds I have experience with and even fish and small animals. I have to add this notice so new customers understand something. I am alerted to, and respond to, and answer all questions and requests in about a minute 24/7. When you have a question I answer it quickly. So please hold off on your questions after 9:00 pm and before 7:00 am, I need my beauty rest. I am up early each day, (by 7:00 am) to take care of your questions and requests. Drop off and pick up hours are 7:00 am to 8 pm for drop off, and to 9 pm for pickup. Rover may be contacted 24/7 (888) 453,7889. Also dogs must be crate trained, and dog friendly, they are crated at night and during drop off and pick ups, or meet and greets, for any other guests to prevent escapes or any possible bad interactions. Because I am looking for you at your appointed time, I can no longer accept appointments that span an hour or two, or even 30 minutes (Your doctor or dentist doesn't accept that either.) I can't do any thing else if I am looking for you, and if I get several drop off and pick ups a day each wanting hours I spend most of my day staring at the driveway. Therefore specify the "SPECIFIC" time that you know you can be here, not a range of time, of when you might feel like getting here. You can always text with a request for a time change, just please do it ahead of time, instead of when you're already late and my time has been wasted, and the other guests have been unnecessarily crated, while waiting for your arrival. If you specify a time range for either drop off or pick up I will assume that you would like me to choose what works best for me and I will specify a specific time for you. I have found the least amount of confusion and barking for the dogs that may already be here, and easiest drop off and pick up for the client is to meet you in the driveway. Text me with your ETA and I will be looking for you and I will come out to get your dog from you in the driveway, and bring them back out to you in the driveway. Knocking on the door results in overexcited and barking dogs and I don't bring dogs thru the front door anyway. Dogs are brought out to the back yard to settle down and have potty time before going inside to meet any others that may be here, one at a time. I keep my dogs free of fleas and ticks with monthly flea prevention. I expect dogs coming here are clean and free of fleas. When you bring a dog with fleas it could infect my entire house and I have to flea bathe your dog and spray my entire house to be sure other clients don't get fleas. This is time consuming and expensive, so be sure your dogs don't bring fleas here. I also expect your dog to be clean, odor free and free of ticks, accepting a stay here means you accept the fact that you will be billed for a bath that is needed, if they arrive here in need of one. You dog will be on my furniture and living in my house and I will not have dirty smelly dogs doing that. I also expect the dog to have a proper fitting collar in which I can place a temporary ID tag with my information. They should also have a leash so I can bring them back out to you, at pickup time. I accept meet and greet requests but do not require them. Your itinerary will show my address and contact information after we have set up a stay or meet and greet. Please specify date and time you request so I can approve it. That's the best way to meet me and check out my place, as the site will send us both each other's information by viewing the itinerary. You will receive my address and phone number that way, and I will be given your phone number. You can see my location by looking for "Bruce's Neighborhood" on my profile page. I am very close to the Oviedo High School, and Lawton elementary schools. When making any request for either Daycare or Boarding include in the comments, what your needed drop off, and pick up times will be. I need to be prepared for your arrival and need it for calendar scheduling, and proper price quoting. If your stay is more than, even 24 hour days, like an early drop off one day and a late pick-up the next day, let me know what you need and request an adjusted price. My boarding rates are based on a 24 hour day not 36 hours. I will be happy to watch your dog for 36 hours or whatever you need but you will receive an additional charge for the additional time. I tried watching puppies but have come to realize that because they demand so much attention, that it takes away from the time I need to spend with the other guests, therefore in fairness to all the dogs that I board, I have sadly have come to the decision that it is not fair to my other guests, to spend all my time with one puppy, and therefore must decline accepting any more puppies. I need to spend time with all guests not just one demanding puppy. Compare what I offer to the others. Retired and home full time, not gone to work like most people. Huge backyard with a safe and secure vinyl privacy fence, (check out the pictures). (Dogs have plenty of room to run and play, and stay on my property, I don't take dogs out on a leash and take a chance of escape or being attacked, safety is my first priority.) A large home not an apartment. Fifty plus years working with and training dogs. Who else offers all this, and I am still very competitively priced. Dogs are normally allowed to run free in the house and share the furniture with me, but are crated at night when I sleep and unable to watch them, to prevent any problems and to keep them safe. They are let out early each morning and allowed to roam the house and use the doggy door again. I have been working with dogs for over fifty years and presently do volunteer training at a local dog rescue. I am very familiar of how to care for your dog, and know your dog will be happy in my home and large fenced back yard. I have two small friendly dogs for them to play with, if they like that. I am retired and home almost always, my wife may watch the dogs if I have to step out for a short time. To make sure you dog is safe while under my care, they will be provided a clean bed and crate for night time when everyone should be asleep, just to be sure there is nothing happening that would be unsafe for them. I don't know any better way to insure their safety if I am asleep and not able to be watching them, be suspicious of anyone that claims to never crate your dog. When I wake up early, they are free to go outside or enjoy the house and furniture. You can leave your dogs here with complete confidence that a very experienced handler, and dog lover will be looking after them. Drop off and Pick up times flexible. If you're looking for the best place for your dog, and the best deal going, you just found it. Keep in mind a day is 24 hours. An early drop off on one day, and late pickup the following day is not a day and will have an upcharge. For that reason and for scheduling, please state your drop off and pick up times when requesting your boarding days. At the same time, a drop off and pick up that spans 2 days but is only 24 hours is only charged as one day, not two, like at some boarding places. One final note: I do not accept recurring bookings. I will refuse any such requests. Each booking must have a starting and ending date and time. I will allow you to make multiple bookings even months in advance to accomplish the same thing, but I need to be sure I am available for each booking, before I can accept it. A single booking can be multiple days or even weeks long, but it has to have a starting and ending date and time. I just can't promise availability on a forever basis. ******************* OPTIONAL READING ********************** What to look for in a new pet care giver.Find someone that sends pictures to you multiple times a day, and to 100% of the clients, like I do. I receive dogs until 8pm and allow pickup until 9pm. I expect a text with your ETA before arrival, so I can meet you out front or in the driveway to take care of your pet needs. I have a fenced yard and only will do long walks at owner request as off leash dogs can act anyway. I have a huge well cared for backyard and a doggy door so dogs have plenty of time and space to get all the exercise they need. Dogs are normally free roaming during the daytime when I can watch them, but crated at night when sleeping for their safety. Pet care is a priority for myself and with my dogs and other small animals, I wake early to walk them and feed them because animals should be cared for as well as we care for ourselves and children. I care for all pets as if they are my own. Whatever needs your animal has, it would be my pleasure to make sure that they keep their routines and stay as familiar with the day as possible while being cared for by myself. What is Required__ Flea & Tick: All dogs must be on flea and tick prevention. Please make sure you treat your pet now and continue monthly applications throughout the rest of the year. We have the right to refuse any dog that has a flea/tick infestation. Vaccinations: For the safety of your dog, it is vital that he/she be current on all vaccines. Having your pet vaccinated is the best and least costly way of preventing disease. Without proper vaccination, he/she will be left unprotected. Please bring a copy of latest vaccination records, either on the day of the meet and greet or the day you drop off. We will make a copy to keep for our records. Dog Profile: Make sure to fill out your dog's "Profile" on Rover so that we can have a better understanding of him/her. Give detailed feeding instructions. Provide emergency contacts and vet information, especially if you will not have phone service while on vacation. What to bring: Food, food bowl, collar, and vaccine record. Dog's regular food, enough food for the entire stay, and a little extra in case you have a flight delay, etc. Please do not switch his/her food a few days before coming to our home because changing the food abruptly can cause diarrhea in some dogs. Bring food bowl, we have plenty of water bowls. We have extras but prefer you to bring his/her regular food bowl. Dog collar with name & rabies tags is required __Things to Keep in Mind__ Meet & Greet: We always offer a free Meet & Greet to new potential clients. It gives everyone a chance to get to know each other and to see where your pup will be staying. It allows me to connect with your dog and make sure he/she has a successful stay with us. For those visiting out of town, we can communicate by phone and determine if this is the right place for your pup. Also, there are times when you have an emergency and are unable to do a meet and greet. We will try to do our best to accommodate if this happens. Spay/Neutered: It is highly recommended that all dogs be spayed and neutered due to the nature of the care we provide. We can not accept females during their heat cycle. Males that are intact and mark everywhere in our home or show possessive tendencies towards a particular dog will not be allowed back. Just to clarify-some male dogs may start sniffing around and might pee the first time they enter my home. In most cases, it only happens once and it is not a problem throughout the rest of the stay. Some females can also pee mostly from excitement this is also understandable. Most dogs that are neutered at a young age will rarely exhibit any marking or humping behavior. Pups do have accidents and that is not a problem. I always have bleach, urine remover, water and paper towels handy to clean up in such instances. Senior Dogs: We are happy to provide care for older dogs or those with special medical or health needs.

About: I have had many pets, from childhood dogs and cats to guinea pigs, to rabbits, and more! I believe that pets are crucial family members. I absolutely adore all shapes, sizes and breeds of animals. If you need someone to watch your beloved family members for a while, whether its last minute plans or just needing a break, I’ve got you covered! Hi there! I currently have open availability throughout the week, with the exception of a couple of short college classes that last about an hour or two. I’m very flexible and can usually accommodate last-minute bookings or specific time requests, so feel free to reach out and I’ll do my best to make it work for you and your pet! Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal like they’re my own—with patience, love, and close attention to their unique needs. I always follow care instructions exactly, and I’m extra cautious on walks, around other animals, and in new environments. Whether it’s sticking to their routine, watching for stress signals, or giving them space when they need it, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, secure, and loved every step of the way.

He loved every moment of being there. I highly recommend Cristina and will be using her services again for the future. :)”

About: I am currently a senior staff pet professional. I work for a dog boarding/daycare company so I have active experience in caring for multiple dogs at once, while still being attentive and giving individual attention to each dog. I am very comfortable with handling all sized dogs with all different personalities. I have cared for everything from 3-pound Pomeranians to 100+ pound Great Danes. I am working part-time to allow myself free time to take on jobs for people looking for more personal dogsitting for their pets. In addition to my professional experience, I have had over ten years of personal experience. I have had dogs my whole life, and currently have three dogs and three cats. I always make sure that all my pets are given the best life and are constantly stimulated with fun activities. While sending your dog to a doggy daycare is good, they can be overlooked due to the amount of other dogs they have there a day. Those places get upwards of 100 dogs daily, which can make it hard for the staff to attend to each dog's needs in a deeper way. I personally go around to every single room and spend quality time with each dog. This translates to my at-home dogsitting, where I ensure your dog will get the highest level of attention and care. I also make sure to send constant picture updates. Not only do I offer a more personal stay for your pets, but I charge less than the large companies do, making it easier for you all around. I want you as well as your pet to not have to worry about anything. My passion is caring for others, but especially dogs. I am appreciative of any opportunity I am given and always make sure to do my best work and give my best care. I work part-time at a doggy daycare facility, which allows me to get extra experience on the side, but also allows me to have free time to care for others' dogs on the side in a more personal way. I am very flexible with my schedule and do my best to accommodate your needs. I can almost always accept same-day bookings. I also am flexible with extended stays if something comes up. My priority is the dogs, so I will do my best to always be there for them as well as work with you to make sure you do not have to worry. I have a very large fenced yard with three friendly dogs to keep your pets company. However if your dog is shy or not very dog-friendly, they can be put in a separate area for the time being. My house is surrounded by three parks that have lots of space for your dog to play in. I also have plenty of toys for your dog to choose from. I have frisbees, tennis balls, ropes, chewing bones, kiddie pool, bubbles, etc. We also have a trampoline if your dog is interested in that! If I am visiting in your home, I always make sure to respect the place I am in, and stick to the routine that you give your dog. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible.

About: I've taken care of many neighborhood cats and dogs since I was in middle school! My neighbors have continuously trusted in me to walk, feed, clean litter boxes, and socialize with their pets while they are away. I'm more than happy to work with your schedule and find ways to adjust to your needs while caring for your pets! I'm currently in the transition period from college and the full-time job search, so I'm able to be flexible! I used to have a hamster named Pinto and lived with 3 cats (belonged to my roommates). I believe spending quality time with our pets is a huge priority beyond the basic necessities of food, water, and a clean environment.

About: I’ve have animals my entire life and taking care of them is a bless for me. I understand the necessity of each pet and I’ll take care of your fur baby as it was my own baby. Im a stay at home mom and I have plenty of time to give your puppy a lot of attention and care. My schedule is very easy. I have a spacious house with a fenced yard and a cat and a dog of my own. They are extremely friendly and get along with other pets but I can separate them if needed.

About: I bring a unique blend of advanced obedience training, senior care expertise, and a deep respect for each dog’s individual needs. I’ve trained alongside top professionals, including private trainers and lead trainers from Universal Studios’ ‘Animal Actors on Location!’ I’m confident in maintaining obedience commands and structure, ensuring a balanced and enjoyable environment. I have extensive experience administering a variety of medications to senior dogs, from oral pills to topical applications. I prioritize comfort by allowing each dog to acclimate at their own pace within my large, fenced-in yard and ample indoor spaces, helping them feel at ease quickly. I’m meticulous about feeding routines, understanding that even the friendliest dogs can be protective during mealtime. I separate dogs when necessary to ensure everyone feels secure and respected. Having owned dogs with severe allergies, I know firsthand the importance of dietary diligence, treating each dog as if they were my own. My goal is always to provide safe, loving care tailored to each dog’s unique personality and needs. I do not accept boardings unless I will be home and available to give your pup potty breaks, walks, and attention. I sometimes travel for work projects and do not take clients at that time. My love for dogs started in childhood, and I’ve always shared my home with at least one dog, so I deeply understand the bond between a pet and their family. For decades, I’ve juggled my career with finding reliable, loving care for my own dogs, knowing how much trust it takes to leave them in someone else’s care. I understand the anxiety of hoping your pet is happy, safe, and adjusting well in new hands, which is why I prioritize clear communication and updates for my clients. Whether in my home or theirs, I ensure dogs feel loved, secure, and comfortable. In my home, I create a calm, spacious environment where dogs can explore at their own pace, enjoy playtime in my large fenced yard, or relax in a cozy indoor space that feels like home. I also adapt my care to each dog’s needs in a client’s home, respecting their routines and preferences to help them feel at ease. With every pet, my approach is rooted in empathy, personal experience, and a true desire to make them feel like family.
