About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and have years of experience caring for them through every stage of life. Today, my wife and I care for our Australian Cattle Dog, Dakota, whom we adopted when she was a year old. Training Dakota has given me valuable experience in understanding canine body language, behavior, and communication. I’ve learned how to recognize signs of stress, excitement, fear, and overstimulation, and how to respond in a calm, positive way to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. Whether we’re out on walks, visiting public places, or relaxing at home, I’m always attentive to a dog’s needs and surroundings. I’m comfortable following feeding schedules, administering basic care, maintaining routines, providing exercise and enrichment, and giving each dog the patience and attention they deserve. Every dog has a unique personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel happy, secure, and loved. Above all, I believe every pet should be treated with the same care, respect, and affection that I’d want for my own! I’m currently a full-time online student and teach online part-time, so I will have plenty of time to play with your pup! I can build my own schedule, so I'm fully available. I believe pets are happiest when they can stay in the comfort of their own home and follow their normal routine. My goal is to provide dependable, personalized care that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you’re away. I’ll carefully follow your instructions for feeding, potty breaks, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any other routines that are important to your pet. I pay close attention to body language and behavior so I can make sure your dog is comfortable and enjoying our time together. Whether I’m stopping by for a visit, taking your dog on a walk, or staying in your home, I’ll treat your pet with patience, kindness, and the same level of care and attention I’d want for my own. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

About: For many years I've been my family and friends go-to animal sitter and daytime/evening caregiver. I take pride in their trust in me caring for their babies. I have two fur babies of my own. My availability to provide animal care outside of my home is Saturday and Sunday during the day or extended evening hours with the occasional holiday. I work remotely Monday-Friday, I’m happy to accommodate your pets needs during the hours of, 6pm-10pm, Monday-Friday. Also, experienced in administering medications not limited to injections such as insulin, subcutaneous fluids, etc. Each service can be customized to your needs and discussed over the phone in terms of caring for multiple animals at your home. Trust is a significant factor when it comes to putting your animals in someone else's care, it's important to follow any instruction that you leave me for your pet while always keeping you updated and taking your pets safety first and foremost. All of my clients and animals are treated as I would expect my animals and myself to be treated. They become my family when I care for them. I am also very knowledgeable about toxic materials including plants, food, etc. For birds, dogs and cats. I am cautious and constantly aware of my surroundings. I prefer to be preventative when it comes to animal care.

About: I’m not just someone who pauses to care for your pet; my love for animals goes beyond measure. I’m committed to ensuring that the time I spend with them exceeds all expectations. I’m a graphic designer - most work I do is from home. So my schedule is very flexible and on the go! I can work and sit in while watching your animal! 😀 I have a dog myself - she is hardly ever caged and is trained to stay out and behave accordingly. She is very energetic. But LOVES people and other animals.

About: Rescuing dogs — especially puppies — is the most rewarding feeling in life. The most important thing with our furry friends is consistency. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. I've taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family for years, and I've learned that it's not about what I want — it's about honoring what the owner has built with their pet. I work with the public in my day job, so patience is second nature to me. Pets are no different. They need someone who can read their energy, stay calm, and meet them where they're at. I also love running and playing with animals. Exercise is huge — but I get that a walk isn't always about distance. Sometimes they need to run. Sometimes they need to stop and smell everything. I match their pace, not mine. I don't know if anything really sets me apart from other sitters. I just genuinely want to be there for the furry family member. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. Currently unable to have pets in home due to renting rules. Will make sure to confirm and follow all rules with you before accepting the job.

About: I have 4 years of professional animal care experience, and have grown up around dogs and cats. I’ve provided care for dogs, cats and reptiles. I’m comfortable working with animals with special needs. I currently work full-time on week days from 8-4. If you live within 10 minutes of West Asheville I am able to provide bathroom breaks every 4 hours. If you live further out, I can provide breaks every 8 hours. I have a decent amount of flexibility in my schedule and I have no pets of my own, so all of my attention can be on your fur babies!! I can’t currently offer boarding in my home as my roommate has a dog, but I am happy to come to your house. If needed, I can provide plant care during my stay, and will ensure you come home to a clean house and happy animals.

I’ve worked with sheltered animals, horses, livestock and strays my whole life. About: Hello! I’m a long time pet lover and house sitter (of my own place) I have interacted with many pets of my friends and worked at animal shelters. My experience with pets starts in high school when I volunteered at the local animal shelter cleaning out kennels, grooming and playing with cats and dogs. I then graduated to being a pet auntie for my friends animals and then pet sitting for various clients. I love pets, they are adorable and I can’t wait until I can have my own! Until then, I guess I’ll just pet sit…. I work from home on most days, so my schedule is flexible enough to allow me to look after pets such as spending quality time, potty breaks, exercising via walks and playing with cat toys. When I care for pets in their home, I take care to read all of the instructions and look after the home. This can include administering medications, accommodating different diets and walking styles (such as the slow walkers, the sniffers, the neighborhood watchers). I make sure to leave the home the way I found it because that is what I would like if I was the pet parent.

As a middle-aged woman with many responsibilities and experiences, I am adept at managing a wide variety of pet tasks with conscientiousness and skill. You can be confident that your dogs and cats will be in safe and loving hands with me while you are away. I am a freelance writer and work only part-time from home, so I have an abundance of time to be fully in the moment with your pets and provide them quality care, supervision, and one-on-one attention. I have a wonderful husband who loves animals and 16-year old son (who also adores animals), and a 20-year-old son studying at Chapel Hill, who helps me with the dogs in my care when he is home for the summer and on breaks. Currently, I have a wonderful, small group of regular dogs who come for daycare most days of the week. I always make sure prospective dogs are a good fit with the group to ensure safety and an optimal experience for all the dogs. We love meeting new dogs and welcome having new playmates here at "Camp Dewdog." These guys have so much fun here, romp around the yard, hide in the shrubery, zoom around the porch, and go on walks in our Montford neighborhood to see the goats and chickens down the street or to the Reed's Creek Greenway, or Hummingbird Park. There's never a dull moment here, except when the pups are sacked out on our porch swing bed or lounging in the house on the sheepskin rugs. Your pets will be cared for with the same dedication and attentiveness as with my own pets. Dogs can either roam and lounge in our large Victorian home or frolic in our lush fenced yard and porch. Montford is also a lovely neighborhood to go on walks with dogs, with lots of parks nearby, resident goats and chickens down the street at our friends' house, and Reed's Creek Greenway just around the corner.

About: “I have taken care of dogs my whole life and currently have a sweet pug puppy named Willow. I love taking dogs on walks, giving them playtime, potty breaks, snuggles, and lots of attention. I treat every dog like my own — with patience, kindness, and positive reinforcement. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or an overnight stay, your pup will feel safe, happy and deeply loved in my care I work from home as an artist and am almost always here, so your dog will get consistent walks, potty breaks, playtime, and plenty of snuggles throughout the day. They won’t be left alone except for quick errands. 🐾 My home is very dog-friendly with a fully fenced in yard, tons of toys, comfy dog beds, and lots of space to relax. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and in my bed (just like my own pups). I treat every dog like part of the family — with lots of love, patience, and positive reinforcement. 🐾
