“our little dog 🐕 stayed with Elizabeth for 10 days, she didn’t miss us at all. Elizabeth sent us several pictures. it is so good to know that your dog is happy while you are away. Loullig will stay with her again 🙂.”

“I’m so grateful to Jaqueline and Sammy for watching my dog, Banks. They sent tons of pictures and videos, making me feel at ease while he was in their care. They took him on great walking adventures and were incredibly detail-oriented with his needs. They were also so understanding of his separation anxiety, which made him feel comfortable and safe. Banks absolutely adores them. I’m beyond thankful for their kindness and care, and I’ll definitely be rebooking with them in the future!”

“Robin is so comforting. She is calm and compassionate with our aging pup, and we are so relieved when he is in her competent care. Robin is our first choice for caring for our sweet little man. 🐶❤️”

“All I can say is that I didn’t know Georgie could possibly be more spoiled than he already was but he is and that is a good thing! Made the entire trip away perfect knowing he was being so loved. Anyone who adores their dog and considers them their baby and not just a pet, do not hesitate to trust Toni to care for them.”

“Debbie was marvelous! We were a little nervous as our Abbey is a 13 year-old 3-pound chihuahua who is almost blind and Ghirardelli is a 6-pound bouncy poodle. Debbie has four dogs of her own. Two are huge boyzois! No worries-all four of her fur babies were very, very sweet! Debbie cuddled Abbey and our babies slept with her grandson which they absolutely loved!!! We got pics and updates every day. Debbie even waited up for our late flight so that we could get our babies as soon as we got back home. Best puppy B&B ever!!! We will be back, Debbie.”

“Megan and her family were amazing with our two pups! She has a great fenced in yard with plenty of room to run and cozy places for the dogs to sleep and hang out. One of our dogs is really scared of thunderstorms and Megan went above and beyond to make him comfortable during some very strong storms. Our pups have made friends for life! We will definitely be repeat customers and highly recommend Megan.”

“We had a short notice travel need and needed care for our 10 week old puppy. Gabe with Rover gave our puppy excellent care during our 3 days away. His house is very dog friendly and he was with our pup almost 24/7! And reinforced the puppy training we had started. Would definitely recommend him for any of your pet care needs. Trish and Tom”

“Nikki was beyond amazing with her care for our pup! Her home and property are a dog’s dream for endless running and outdoor time. She also made sure Asha got lots of great hikes on the nearby trails! Also, her dog is a wonderful play buddy! Nikki even gave us some goodies from her garden when we arrived and then made sure Asha got an early morning trail hike/romp early in the morning before we picked her up. We couldn’t have asked for better care for our fur-kid. Thank you, Nikki!!”

“KaLynn and Mark were awesome, sending frequent updates along with super cute pics of Charlie. They took such excellent care of Charlie, I feared he wouldn’t want to come home. 😂 Hopefully Charlie will be back to visit them again soon. 😀”

“Sarah was extremely easy to work with and Jasper had a great time with her dog Jimmy and her family. Communication was excellent and Jasper loved his time at her home!”

“Keily went above and beyond or expectations! We received daily check ins with pictures and videos. The environment she provided was excellent for our high energy dog with several walks and activities to meet the demand or dog needed. It felt like our pup was on her own vacation and apart of her family. We are so happy to have found Keily and will be utilizing her services in the future. 10/10 recommended.”

“Our pups love Alyssa! She sends lots of updates and pictures for peace of mind. We know they are in loving hands and get to play to their hearts content. Many thanks!”

“My dog loved Bridgett’s outdoor garden area, and I loved that she had a glow stick collar for evening walks when it was already dark at 6pm! Really appreciate Bridgett’s communication and flexibility with drop off and pickup. Would absolutely recommend using Bridgett if you’re needing a sitter in Asheville.”

“Michaela is a literal angel! I am so picky about who I choose to watch my baby and she put my mind at ease and went above and beyond. Gypsy was comfortable with Michaela from the very start. She was so attentive and provided several updates and photos! She took care of all my senior dog needs and you can tell she genuinely loves animals. If you are an anxious person about who watches your baby, she is the perfect person!! I could not have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be using her in the future.”

“I cannot express how much we appreciate Julie! She is extremely responsible, always reliable, and loves my dog like one of her own. This is the first time we did an in-home stay for our large, goofy lab. The peace of mind we have knowing he is so well taken care of is invaluable. I highly recommend Julie.”

“So appreciative of Kristin and Seth. They watched my dog Django for 9 days and took such good care of Django with the added challenge of him not feeling well for the first couple of days. He showed signs first an hour before drop off time and I was going on a big trip. They were very understanding and sent me updates. I felt assured he was well taken care of. When I picked him up, Django was happy to see me, but also clearly happy to be there. This was my first time using Rover and the first time I was away from him for more than two days in years. They were happy to meet before so Django and I would feel more comfortable. They clearly love dogs! I would absolutely use them again and strongly recommend them.”

“Ann and Jaren were absolutely wonderful! They took such great care of my sweet Ernie for 10 days, and I could tell he was happy and loved while I was gone. It was such a relief knowing he was in such good hands. On top of that, they made things so easy for me—I was able to leave my car at their house, and they even gave me a ride to the airport. Truly above and beyond! I’m so grateful to have found them and wouldn’t hesitate to ask them again.”

“Jordan and her little 3-year-old daughter were super sweet!! They took great care of our little Shih Poo girl, not to mention she had just started her cycle. I was afraid that Jordan might cancel, but she didn't. My daughter and I brought her with her crate, diapers, food, and toys, and that was that. We were able to enjoy our travels to see family over the weekend without worry over our baby pooch. We're keeping Jordan's profile up top!”

“We know the cats are safe and happy when we’re away with Alex checking in. He keeps everything clean and e-mails pictures at the end of each visit, making sure they get cuddles and play. Highly recommend!”

“She did such a great job and went above and beyond!!! When I had an issue with wildlife critters getting in the pet door, she went there and checked on everyone right away!!! All of my cats that are normally antisocial love her!!!”

“This was a rebook with Ashlee. We had a cold snap and outdoor kitties water iced over; thanks to Ashlee's care they had water! Heated water bowl ordered. Ashlee is reliable, so no worries about the kitties being uncared for.”

“Mason was great- highly recommend! She was so prompt in answering my request and all my messages. I felt very comfortable on my trip knowing Penny was in good hands. She arrived right on time for her visits, sent so many cute pics, and kept me updated on Penny the whole time. I will def be booking again next time I need a sitter and would recommend her to anyone in the area!”

About: Hello! I’m a long time pet lover and house sitter (of my own place) I have interacted with many pets of my friends and worked at animal shelters. My experience with pets starts in high school when I volunteered at the local animal shelter cleaning out kennels, grooming and playing with cats and dogs. I then graduated to being a pet auntie for my friends animals and then pet sitting for various clients. I love pets, they are adorable and I can’t wait until I can have my own! Until then, I guess I’ll just pet sit…. I work from home on most days, so my schedule is flexible enough to allow me to look after pets such as spending quality time, potty breaks, exercising via walks and playing with cat toys. When I care for pets in their home, I take care to read all of the instructions and look after the home. This can include administering medications, accommodating different diets and walking styles (such as the slow walkers, the sniffers, the neighborhood watchers). I make sure to leave the home the way I found it because that is what I would like if I was the pet parent.

“Frances took wonderful care of our pets! Despite my own lack of organization on day one, she still came by to make sure they were taken care of. I’m so thankful for her flexibility, reliability, and kindness. We truly appreciate her!”

About: I adore cats and have experience with ones who want absolutely no contact other than being fed and watered as well as cuddly babies who love to play! I am very familiar with animal behavior and strive to learn any animal's unique boundaries.

“Bradly did a great job watching our two dogs while we were out of town for a few days. We had him drop in 3 times a day. He arrived promptly at the designated times, fed, walked and played with our pups. He is very kind and responsive giving us comfort that they were getting the attention they need. Our English Springer Spaniel is full of energy and Brad was able to give him the play time fetching sticks to burn off some of his energy. We live on a few acres so having someone that is also active was important to us. We trusted Bradly with our home and pets and would definitely use him again.”

About: I've grown up with several cats. My best friend and the love of my life is a tabby cat I've had since I was 12 years old. I didn't have a dog growing up but I frequently cared for my neighbors Great Pyrenees. My first dog as an adult was a rescue coonhound mix and my current dog is a purebred Redbone Coonhound. I live in an apartment with 2 cats and a dog. I work part time at Food Lion, but I'm wanting to be a full-time pet sitter. Humans are too complicated for me. Plus it gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my dog! I live in an apartment but I'm very active. I utilize all the trails and parks in the area and I bring along my buddy Cheeto, a Redbone Coonhound who loves other dogs!
About: I’m not just someone who pauses to care for your pet; my love for animals goes beyond measure. I’m committed to ensuring that the time I spend with them exceeds all expectations. I’m a graphic designer - most work I do is from home. So my schedule is very flexible and on the go! I can work and sit in while watching your animal! 😀 I have a dog myself - she is hardly ever caged and is trained to stay out and behave accordingly. She is very energetic. But LOVES people and other animals.
“Seriph, was very understanding about some last minute changes with the kitties. I came home to a very clean house and the kitties were happy to see us. I appreciate her flexibility. And it was nice to have someone at the house while I was out of the country.”

Trust is a significant factor when it comes to putting your animals in someone else's care, it's important to follow any instruction that you leave me for your pet while always keeping you updated and taking your pets safety first and foremost. All of my clients and animals are treated as I would expect my animals and myself to be treated. They become my family when I care for them. I am also very knowledgeable about toxic materials including plants, food, etc. For birds, dogs and cats. I am cautious and constantly aware of my surroundings. I prefer to be preventative when it comes to animal care.

About: I grew up with 4 cats in my childhood home and have loved them for as long as I can remember. Cats make me incredibly happy, I enjoy having a job that allows me to make them happy in return! You can rest assured your cats will always receive the best care possible while with me.
“This was our first time hiring a sitter for our two senior cats, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. Michelle was kind and confident during our initial meet up setting my mind at ease that my cats would be well cared for. Our standoffish cat came right up to her while I was showing her around. Michelle sent daily updates and pictures of my babies, kept my 16yo boy on his medicines and spent time loving on them. Our extremely skittish girl even let her pet her during her visits and didn’t hide - she may be the only person to do so other than immediate family! We came home to happy, we’ll-cared for kitties and a sweet card. I can’t recommend Michelle highly enough. She is kind and reliable and her love of animals is clear. We will absolutely call her anytime we are out of town moving forward!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Chimney Rock
“Alyssa and Bryan took such great care of our two girls and they have come back happy and tired both times we’ve sent them! They kept us updated with photos and letting us know what they had been up to. They asked a lot of thoughtful questions about Zoe and Riley and I’m very happy to have found them to take care of my crew. They have a great space and yard for the dogs to play and explore, which was a big draw for me. Will definitely book them again!”

“Ann & Jaren took such great care of my Lottie girl when I was on vacation to NYC! They kept me up to date with lots of pictures; being that this was the first time we were apart for this long, I really appreciated the photos and care she received. She was in great hands and I 100% will be using them in the future! Thanks again 😊”

“It was great working with autumn, she took care if our shih tzu for 3 weeks. She kept us informed , and was very accommodating for or flight delays and schedule changes. I dog is healthy and happy to see her s back. Thanks for all your help.”
“If I could give more than five stars, I would. I travel for work and I am always worried about what to do with my dog Gromit. Keily went way up and beyond what I was expecting. Absolutely perfect experience and I feel very comfortable booking revisits. I highly recommend.”

“Brody is very accommodating and friendly dog sitter. My first impressions is that he is someone who is very trustworthy and caring for dogs. My two pups had an amazing time with him, and I am looking forward to future visits to Asheville and knowing that the dogs will have an exciting and safe experience.”
“Holly did an amazing job taking care of my dog, Buddy, while I attended a special event in Union Mills. From the beginning, she was extremely responsive and offered helpful suggestions to make Buddy feel more comfortable, especially since he suffers from separation anxiety. I was concerned about how he would cope, as he typically howls, pants, and shakes until I come home. Holly was very kind and gentle with Buddy, and it was clear that she genuinely cares about the animals she works with. She kept me updated on how Buddy was doing throughout the evening and even sent me a few sweet photos, which helped put my mind at ease. I feel confident recommending Holly to anyone in need of care for their pet!”

“April and her family are the best! My frenchie Hank is absolutely obsessed with them. He has the best time hanging out, and taking strolls around the neighborhood with the other pups. He loves it there so much when I go to pick him up he doesn’t want to come home with me. She is also very flexible and accommodating with my work schedule and gets up early to let Hank in. Thanks April!”

“Alexis is great- welcoming, and friendly. Upon meeting her you can immediately tell she enjoys living on her small farm and taking care of animals. We felt very comfortable with our dog hanging out with her. Good communicator. Highly recommend.”

“Golda was great with our dog, Cooper. He was with Golda part of everyday for four days. As we'd approach her home he would become very excited! Nothing better than a well-cared for happy dog! Thank you, Golda.”

“Jackie was the perfect match for watching our mini Aussie while we explored the Biltmore. We chose Jackie due to no other pets / no children and she lives close to Biltmore. Her experience working with dogs was important also. Ivey has separation anxiety and Jackie’s calming voice helped her acclimate. Plus the wonderful view and deck was added plus for Ivey’s entertainment. Jackie is an excellent communicator. Highly recommend her!!!”

“Rick is very understanding and patient with dogs and overall a great person. His house and yard is very clean and set up perfectly for doggie play. He is reliable and was able to accommodate taking care of our Nazca last minute, and for this were are very appreciative!”

I love being able to help out fellow humans with the awesome bonus of keeping your animals happy & healthy :) I am a mama to a young boy, who is also good with animals. Although, he is in school most of the time. I do not usually come out late in the evenings due to my son’s bedtime, but can make it work if you are located close by. During the day time I have a good bit of flexibility, which allows this job to fit in my lifestyle well. I am currently only offering services at the clients home - I prefer to meet prior so I can visibly see what I will need to do. About: I have owned dogs my entire life with many cats in between. I have had the pleasure of sitting dogs and cats all over the country, including house sits in California, Oregon, Washington, and now North Carolina. I have experience with young puppies, as well as elderly dogs with a plethora of health problems; I also have experience with big dogs like German shepherds, Australian shepherds, and Rottweilers, to teacup Pomeranians, spitz, and many more. I have been told I’m very high energy and fun, and the animals I have looked after always seem to pick up on that great energy and can’t wait to hang out. :) I sell vintage clothing, so being self employed allows me to better accommodate to all the needs of the animals. In our own home, our dog Endo is the King. He gets to enjoy long daily walks amidst the beauty of DuPont forest, swims in the lake behind our house, and nightly fresh cooked meals. My services on house sits include obviously feeding and general care of the animals, as well as promptly following specific dietary regimens and health requirements of every animal. I have cared for very old dogs that needed assistance in bowel movements as well as simple motivation for stubborn dogs that don’t like to walk. I have also looked after countless plants and hot tubs, ensuring proper watering and chlorination.

We are conveniently located 15 minutes from Downtown Asheville and 10 minutes from Black Mountain. If you’re visiting Asheville and need recommendations on where to eat and things to do, let me know! My husband and I both work from home, so your dog will receive lots of attention during their stay. We have many dog beds, toys, and big windows that many Rover dogs have enjoyed looking out of. We have a large, fenced-in yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. Our two cats have been with us since they were just a few weeks old (they are foster fails), so they grew up with our dogs and are used to dogs. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m happy to customize your experience specifically for your fur baby with their likes and dislikes! We have a secure, fenced in yard for potty breaks and play time. We have reliable transportation should an emergency arise. We have doggy steps for our two senior dogs, if your dog needs to use them too.
“Briana did a fantastic job watching my boy! I will absolutely book her again. I came home to a happy, calm pup - the best signs that he was comfortable and had a good time while I was gone :)”

“Jessie was well cared for and the updates and pictures showed a happy girl. Charlene has a great set up and perfect for my girl. Highly recommend her amd look forward to using her again”

“Sarah was extremely easy to work with and Jasper had a great time with her dog Jimmy and her family. Communication was excellent and Jasper loved his time at her home!”

“David and April took great care of Ginger. They provided a wonderful safe environment, plus their pup, Joe, was a nice companion. It was so nice to go on a trip and know that our pup was well taken care of!”

“What an excellent boarding experience!! Michelle provided care for our two pups for over a week! One is a senior and needs meds. She sent pics and updates. I will most definitely book with them again.”

“Carlina was fantastic with Coco! She kept us updated throughout the stay with lots of pictures and messages, which gave us great peace of mind. Coco got along so well with Carlina's dog and seemed to have a wonderful time. Carlina gave her plenty of snuggles, treats, and attention, and it was clear that Coco was very well cared for. We could tell she was happy, comfortable, and loved while we were away. We would absolutely book with Carlina again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter! 🐾❤️”

“This is the second time Lilly has stayed with Caroline. She did a great job with communicating & sending pictures so we knew Lilly was comfortable & doing well. Would definitely have her sit Lilly again!”

“Sharon is an absolutely amazingly good person and cares deeply about the pets in her care. Sharon updated us on Cedric throughout the day with videos and photos of him interacting with her and another pet. We felt very comfortable leaving our pup with her, we knew he was getting exceptional care with Sharon. It’s a great feeling to know you can go away and your pup will be in good hands at “Camp Sharon’s”! Thank you Sharon, we appreciate you.”

“Rex had a blast staying with Brody! Rex came home a tired pup (a good thing!). Brody made me feel very comfortable leaving Rex with him- I knew he would be well taken care off! Will definitely use him again!!!”

“Kali was a great sitter for Rosie! Her dogs were great companions and kept her active. Kali was very responsive, attentive, and over all a pleasure to work with. Would recommend to anyone who has an active dog!”

“Stephanie stands apart from so many other dog sitters. She has genuine love for dogs, their safety and well-being. She has watched my dog (Toast) for daycare and boarding. If you haven't used Rover, I recommend her services.”
