About: I love animals! I'm comfortable with dogs and cats, birds, and creepy crawlies. I like to run and would love to make a running buddy! I'm available before and after work for check ins and one day a week for regular walks or runs on a long term basis. I can also do house sitting. About: I have always had animals my whole life, I grew up with two dogs and 2 cats. I was always taking care of the animals, feeding, walking, and grooming. I have experience with all age range of animals. I have some traning experience, with my own dogs and with friends dogs. I always prioritize animals safety, health, and happiness. I am currently focusing on my career growth with animal sitting and I am available 7 day a week between the hours of 6am-11pm. When I am not focused on pet care, I bartend, so my schedule is often flexible with pet sitting. I feed, snuggle, walk and play with the animals I care for. I am sure to get all the information needed to best care for your pet (feeding times and habbits, favorite play, commands/release words and so forth). I prioritize animal safety, health, and happiness.

About: There has never not been a dog in my house. I've grown up around them and feel very comfortable with them! Within the last few years I have logged 70+ volunteer hours at SCRAPS training and exercising dogs. I achieved the highest level of training and thoroughly enjoy my time working with them. I have handled dogs with all kinds of behavioral issues from having a high prey drive to disliking people. Additionally I've worked with my own dog and she earned her CGC, participated in numerous rally classes, and began agility. When she became a senior dog I gave her a comfortable life until the end. I am passionate about making their lives better for as long as we have them. I also have experience taking care of rabbits, goats, and horses. I'm a full-time student on summer break so I have full availability currently. Evenings will have less availability as I will be doing some summer conditioning for my sport but can be flexible with the client's needs. In my own home we keep our dogs separate with baby gates and the use of leashes. Keeping them safe is a priority for us so we do all we can to help make them comfortable while maintaining safety. Depending on what the client is comfortable with I will use whatever measures they want to keep their family safe.

“MacKenzie was fantastic! We had a family member cancel with short notice for watching out 2 dogs and 3 cats for a week while we were going on vacation. I quickly hopped on Rover to see who was near us, and decided to message MacKenzie based on other reviews that had been left. She was quickly able to come over and meet our gang to make sure it would be a fit. After that initial meeting, my husband and I both felt very comfortable and confident with her coming to stay and take care of things while we were gone. The day we were supposed to leave, we ran into some issues but MacKenzie was flexible and fast to communicate. She was very punctual and sent brief updates/questions throughout the week (she has our preference on communication and we had told her we didn't need regular check ins or updates). When we got home, we could tell our dogs and cats had missed us, but it was also clear that they had been well taken care of. We cannot recommend Shonteia enough! She took incredible care of our dog and kept us updated with very detailed check-ins throughout the entire stay — we always knew exactly how he was doing, which made being away so much easier. She also went above and beyond when our boy had some stomach trouble, picking up plain chicken to help settle his tummy without us even having to ask. Communication was a breeze from start to finish. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again!
