“Alyssa was awesome taking care of our pup! We were nervous leaving but Alyssa gave awesome cards and did everything that we asked and more. Definitely will be asking for her help whenever we need someone to take care of Akoya”

“Lily dropped in daily to check on my kitty while I was away on vacation. She communicated well with me and gave me updates each day with photos. I came home to a happy cat! Would definitely choose her again for a cat sitter!”
“She is awesome! Spends time with my kitties and does a wonderful job. One of my cats loves to see her but the other won’t come out for anyone and just stays under the bed. But she leaves him treats next to the bed for him. You can tell she really loves our cats.”

“Lauren did a great job with our 3 dogs of varying ages. She communicated well with me and asked questions and answered mine when needed. I will definitely book with her in the future.”

“Ash has been our go-to dog sitter over the past couple of months. She's reliable and puts in real quality time with our dog. It's stressful to leave your pet for the weekend, and Ash has made it easier for us to relax when we're away. She's always in good communication and sends lots of pics.”

“Tyler has been great with my dog, Effie. She’s very high energy Boston terrier and absolutely loves him. They’re reliable, considerate of her needs, and very easy to communicate with. I always feel good knowing she’s in good hands while I’m at work.”

“Tylyn did a great job!!! While on vacation my daughter s visited my home and unfortunately Rascal my indoor only cat got out of the house. Tylyn informed me and explained the steps she had already taken to attempt to catch Rascal, even thinking of things I had not thought of. She visited my house twice a day even though she was only supposed to visit once she made every effort possible to help with the return of Rascal. Tylyn is personable and I feel that she truly loves the pets she cares for. I have used Tylyn in the past and I will definitely use her in the future and recommend her to anyone who is looking for a loving, capable and trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Loved Vivianas Visits! I really appreciated the price, which made it very affordable. She visited Bean twice a day and sent photos every time! Viviana was quick to respond and fixed any concerns I had. Bean loved her, and I hope to book with her again!!!”

“Jocelyn was wonderful...great communication, very professional and confident. She did a full week of two-a-day visits and was amazingly right on schedule every time. She developed quick rapport with our older dog who can sometimes be quite nervous and fearful of strangers. Lots of pets and love...what else could we (or our dog) ask for. Would definitely contact Jocelyn again.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Chico
Viviana was a very reliable and trustworthy pet sitter! She did drop in visits for my two cats while I was out of town for 2 weeks. She was very prompt and completed all visits on time as agreed. She was very flexible and accommodating when I felt that I needed to add additional visits. While I was gone, an issue with ants coming in after the cat food that was being left out suddenly developed and she handled it so well, cleaning up the ants and ensuring the cats had clean food bowls after each visit. I was never worried about my cats while they were in her care!

Kassandra did an awesome job taking care of my cat Nala while I was away camping for 4 days! They were super responsive, communicative, and provided great updates. Nala seemed happy with their company, and I could tell Nala was well taken care of. They went above and beyond to ensure Nala's comfort and happiness. I feel lucky to have found them on Rover and I'll work with Kassandra again in the future. 10/10 - Would recommend!

Sienna did great with my kitties! I absolutely loved receiving pictures while I was away and it looks like they took a liking to her very quickly😊 I was so thankful to be able to leave town for a bit and know that my cats were in good hands, thanks Sienna! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
