“Bria was fantastic. This was our first time booking with her and the meet and greet went smoothly. She took excellent care of both Hampton and Neko and kept our home clean and tidy. We felt completely at ease while we were away. We are already looking forward to having her sit for us again soon. Highly recommend.”

“Kathleen took great care of our senior cat and our home. She navigated some technical challenges with our alarm system with professionalism and good humor. Highly recommend. Will definitely re-book.”

“Ashton was super awesome to work with. Very communicative and always on time. Sent great pics of the two pups, one who is geriatric and has some potty problems and there were no issues with either of them. In fact one of our pups got up in the middle of the night to see where Ashton was the first night we were back. We will definitely have Ashton back!”

“Amy was amazing! She took incredible care of my 4 little ones, including my special needs dog, while I traveled for a long, stressful weekend. She gave regular updates and clearly cared for my pets like her own. I couldn’t be happier!”

“Allison was amazing with our pittie mix rescue who was a stray for 2 years and can be anxious and skittish. She immediately loved Allison (more so than she even loves us, I was joking with my husband) and even went to sleep while Allison was watching her which is unheard of for our dog. Highly recommend, Allison is truly a dog whisperer!”

“Amanda was awesome! She took great care of my senior dogs and left my home cleaner than it was when I left for vacation. Amanda communicated with me during my trip to let me know the pups were ok and even picked up a few toys for my sweet boy. Will definitely work with Amanda again!”

“Victoria is absolutely amazing! I’ve hired her multiple times and she takes incredible care of my pets. My cat who is usually very shy warmed up to her and even sat on her lap! He doesn’t do that with anyone but me which speaks volumes of how caring Victoria is and how safe he feels around her. She is the best sitter and I highly recommend her!”

About: NOTE: BASED OUT OF BURLINGTON, VT FOR THE COLLEGE SEASON I’ve owned and cared for dogs, cats, and everything in-between for as long as I can remember. From pit-bulls to terriers, handicapped chickens to one eyed kittens and animals with at least 8 legs, i’ve seen it all. Apart from caring for my own dogs, cats, and other pets over the years, I did freelance petsitting and dog walking in and around my neighborhood for around seven years, ranging from dog walks while the owner was at work, to late night cat feedings and prescription medication administration, to trying to give a rabbit a bath. I have a high level of experience caring for both puppies/kittens and elderly dogs and cats, having worked to foster puppies and kittens with my local ASPCA for nearly a decade as well as helped raise and train one of my family dogs, and care for my elderly, disabled dog in her later years. I also have background training with the ASPCA regarding animal safety (specifically reactive or defensive dogs) and basic dog and cat body language, crucial aspects of keeping everyone involved healthy and happy! I’m currently a college student home for the summer- my schedule is very open and very flexible, depending on the individual needs of the animal. I can match whatever level of energy your pet needs within the home- whether it be constant cuddles and attention, hours of playtime, or just an omniscient hand filling the food bowl and grabbing the leash! I’m comfortable administering oral or topical medications, able to control and crate dogs if the need arises, and (i’d like to think) i’ve learned some pretty good strategies to stop unwanted barking late at night over the years. I value the mental and physical comfort of the animal i’m caring for first and foremost, whether that means hands on attention or a more quiet, calm approach to time spent with your pet. I’m willing to care for and spend time with shy or reactive dogs as long as they’re within my size range. Having owned both a very senile, timid dog and a very reactive, defensive dog, it’s important to me that they receive the amount of care and attention in the home they deserve :)

“Garrett was so great with my two very high maintenance dogs. I had a crazy busy family wedding out of town and never had to worry about my pups. Garret texted often and I knew they were well cared for. Would absolutely book again!”

“Leaf took excellent care of Ernie, and we cannot thank her enough. She provided great updates, and we were left reassured that he was in good hands. He was even so excited to see her when she came back another time to care for him.”

“Jeff went above and beyond! We needed a last minute house sitter for our 2 dogs for one night and Jeff came in clutch. He was communicative and kept our dogs happy and active. He even watered our plants 😀 10/10 would recommend!”

“Elizabeth was amazing! She was so good with our three dogs and cat. They are a handful and we worry leaving them with new people but Elizabeth put our minds at ease with frequent updates and photos. She stayed at our house and left it cleaner than she found it! She really thought of everything to make sure our late arrival home was as smooth as possible. Would 100% recommend Elizabeth!”

About: I’ve taken care of many animals including cats, dogs, and bunnies! I love spending time with them and giving them the support they need whether it’s a belly rub, bath, walk, or anything else! I’ve house sat and pet sat for many families in my neighborhood my whole life. I’m a full-time grad student but my school is hybrid so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your fur baby! My schedule is super flexible for boarding, text me and we can make an arrangement! I live in a private apartment that has a large yard for animals to play. I can give potty breaks from 0-2 hours and as needed. I have my own car if any transportation is required. I live close to several major grocery/ pet stores and can easily provide extras for your pet if need be.

About: Lover of all animals - cat owner + dog lover. Not shy to snakes, lizards, etc. The cuddlier the better. Trusted by human and animal parents for years. I work from home and can take breaks during the day as needed. Happy to work from your home as well. Evenings and weekends are generally available. I know it’s hard to trust someone in your home, and taking care of your family. I am respectful, communicative, and timely to a fault.

“We couldn't use our regular dog sitters for a trip so decided to use Rover. Robyn was everything we could hope for and more!! She took care of our dog(Pepper) and kept us informed while we were away. It helped make our time away more enjoyable knowing how well Pepper was being taken care of!! Thank you for everything Robyn!! We got home and Pepper was happy to see us and the house was as we left it. We really appreciated al Robyn did all week with Pepper!!! Really made our trip that much more enjoyable knowing Robyn was here watching him. We also really appreciated all the updates and pictures! Robyn was TERRIFIC!!!”

“We feel very lucky to have found Alyson and Taylor prior to our recent trip. With one young dog and one senior, there is a lot going on in our household. Add the fact that they are each 110+ lbs, and it takes a very special dog sitter to be comfortable handling our pups! Alyson and Taylor were wonderful - from the moment they met the dogs, we could see everything was going to be fine while we were gone. Highly recommend - unless you need them next time we are traveling. ?”

About: What makes me different is the calm, personalized care I give every dog. I take the time to learn what makes them feel safe and happy—whether that’s a slow walk, a cozy spot to nap, or a little extra playtime. I’m also comfortable giving medications and following special routines if needed. I’m reliable, easygoing, and always keep you updated, so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands. I’m currently between jobs so I’m available whenever. I do photography on the side at some different race tracks. When I’m not doing photography I’m in my back yard playing with my three dogs or I’m in the house with the cats. I have a fenced in yard that I let my dogs run and play in. I take my puppy for long walks to burn our energy out before taking him to Starbucks to get a pup cup and go back home for a nap.

“Larree is a true gem! She was absolutely wonderful with my two dogs-they fell in love with her immediately! I’m super anxious and Larree was extremely communicative, sending me photos and updates. I was able to relax knowing my babies were in such great hands and in the comfort and safety of their own home. Larree also kept our home spotless-it was like we never left! I’m so grateful we found a professional, reliable, and loving sitter!!”

Carrie C.
“Carrie regularly watched our two large rescue dogs when we went out of town and we (us and our pups!) were so sad when she moved away. She was careful to take detailed instructions about their habits and needs and asked about things that we had forgotten to mention. She communicated with us well when we were away to share how our dogs were doing. Carrie is a loving and thoughtful pet caregiver and a natural at handling dogs. I would trust her with any pet. Isabella D.Star Sitter
“Isabella is a reliable, trustworthy caregiver. She thrives in her roles of caring for babies -- both human and the kind with fur. In addition to her several years of experience, Isabella has an incredible background in behavioral biology, enabling her to foster a safe environment for all parties involved. My shih tzus Kiki & Chloe keep asking for Isabella. She did a great job of interpreting their cues to potty and perfectly dosed each day with sunshine, play time, and rest.”

Cheswolde Area pet parents share their Rover experiences
We are so thankful we found Talayia to watch our two dogs and cat for overnight stays! She really came through for us at the last minute when we were in a tough spot of our last sitter cancelling. She communicated with us daily and sent us picture updates which put us at ease for the two weeks we were gone. She also kept our plants alive and our house was kept clean. Thank you so much for everything!!

Amanda was fantastic! She came over and helped me out at the last minute. She treated my dog as if he were her own and made me feel completely at ease. She took him to the dog park, followed all my instructions, and sent me pictures and wonderful updates. She was truly an excellent sitter! I highly recommend her!

Michelle stayed at my house and cared for my 2 senior dogs and 2 cats for a week. She was wonderful. She gave my pets their food and medicines daily, took the dogs for walks on schedule and was respectful to my home. I highly recommend her and will definitely hire her again in the future.

Leah and Shawn are the sweetest people- they were nice enough to do a meet and greet with my Rottie and I the day before I requested them to watch her for the day and were friendly, professional and on time. The day of, Leah sent me updates with pics throughout the day, which really helped me focus at work. I had been working remotely for over 4 years, and my Rottweiler Zara, who already suffers from diagnosed separation and general anxiety, was having a hard time without me home. Leah's sweet and calming demeanor really put Zara at ease, and they were able to hang out for several hours together without incident. She even went out of the house with her, even just for a 5 minute walk, which she typically never does without me or my husband due to her anxiety and depression when I'm not with her. I'm excited to see Zara bloom in her care as we continue to use Leah's services!

Josue was amazing with our Malamute during a 2 week trip! Malamutes can be a difficult breed but our pup took to Josue immediately. Josue took great care of our dog and house while we were gone, and we will happily work with him again for any future travel!
