“David did an outstanding job watching our dog, Trixie. He walked her often during the day, and had her out early in the morning and well into the evening. He came to our home the day before his scheduled time to meet with us, and to see the dog. He wanted Trixie to see us together with him, so she would be comfortable knowing that he was an accepted part of our pet family. He left our home in perfect condition when we came back from a brief vacation. David is a very nice person and he is well suited with pets. I would have David back in the future when his services are again needed. Roseann and Mike b”

“Milena was absolutely amazing with our big dog Magnus. She was so great to work with, excellent communication, very kind, caring and trustworthy. We returned from our trip with a very happy dog, and the house was just as we left it. I would HIGHLY recommend!”

About: Since the age of 7 years old I have always had a dog around my families home. Along with my family pet, I have experience taking care of dogs that range in age and size. I have experience with 6 month old puppies that need a lot of attention through 14 year old dogs that need medication given to them. Over the years, I have taken care of pets for my friends and family ranging from a day, a weekend, to a whole week. Having a dog of my own, I understand the difficulties of finding the right sitter as well as the importance of finding the right one. I am currently a Graduate student at the University of Rhode Island. For the summer, I am taking online asynchronous classes. Since my classes are asynchronous I am able to work my school schedule around my pet sitting schedule. With that being said, I still need a couple hours each day to devote to my school work. When it comes to someone else's home, I follow all the directions that are given to me. I am very versatile depending on the needs of the pet and owner. When it comes to walks, I always walk dogs with their leash and preferably a harness for long walks (but if they don't have one that is okay as well). If I bring the dog to my own home, I have a deck with a gate and a big backyard for playing.

“Elizabeth was great with my senior dogs. Two out of three are on medication for epilepsy and this was my first time leaving them overnight. I felt comfortable after a meet and greet with Elizabeth and knew my fur babies would be in great hands. I would recommend and use Elizabeth again for future services.”

“Nheli was absolutely wonderful! She came a day before our booking to meet Shayna and get acclimated with her, and on babysitting day, Shayna couldn't have been happier! She was super comfortable with Nheli (even during a rainstorm, which says something!) Nheli was responsive, and sent a bunch of adorable photos. Would love to work with her again!”

“Yhakerra was so attentive and extremely caring towards both my fur babies. It was not easy either because both my kitties are in separate spaces of the house due to one of them chasing the other and hissing/growling. However, Yhakerra did amazing and handled the separate feedings/litter cleanings like a pro. She also left the house very clean and immaculate. She was even so caring that she asked if she could carry the youngest baby, Luna to the bedroom and let her sleep in the bed, which of course I was so touched that she was so sweet to accommodate the well being of the babies. She had to move her litterbox and food bowls. I highly recommend Yhakerra and will be booking her again in the future. Thank you so much Yhakerra, I’m so thankful to have had you care for my babies.”

“Kaitlynn was great! She always kept in touch the whole stay and the dogs seemed to really enjoy her! She’s also a vet tech so I felt very comfortable with her giving meds to my Allie for anxiety during thunderstorms. Would recommend her and definitely use her again!”

About: I've been around all sorts of animals since I was a child, firstly with pet birds of my own, then volunteering at a farm for a number of years. Most recently, my experience as a veterinary assistant and being in school for a veterinary technician degree also gives me much knowledge in care for all sorts of animals, especially dogs and cats! I'm currently working at a veterinary hospital and have a few days where I can take time to fit pets that need attention into my schedule. Since my schedule changes regularly, my availability may change weekly, but usually does not impede on any pet that needs my attention. I have a variety of cages, leashes, harnesses, and toys for all size dogs if it is not available to the owner. Another benefit I can offer is the fact that since I also work at an animal hospital, if in the event where a pet needs attention while their owner’s are away, I have the access and contacts to help with any needs of that pet as soon as possible, with the permission of the owners.

“Sydney is great! On time, smart, and managed well with both our 14 yr senior dog and our 12 week puppy! When she’s available, my first choice!”

“Eric was wonderful. I have an old ragdoll cat; he took great care of her - feeding, medication, grooming, cleaning her myriad litter boxes - for the two weeks I was gone. It gave me peace of mind to have him in the house. I am so glad I found him - I will definitely use his services next time I travel.”

About: For the past two years, I’ve been the trusted go-to sitter for my friend’s dog while they travel frequently. My flexible schedule allows me to be readily available when needed, ensuring pets receive consistent care and attention. I treat every dog as if they were my own—always refreshing their water, making sure they have enough food, and spending quality time playing with them. Whether it’s a quick visit or an extended stay, I prioritize their happiness and well-being! As a self-employed professional with a super flexible schedule, I can easily plan my day around pet care. Whether it’s a quick drop-in visit or a longer stay, I have the flexibility to adjust my routine and ensure pets get the attention they need. Their well-being is always a priority, and I’m able to accommodate last-minute requests or extended stays when needed! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I always refresh their water, ensure they have enough food, take them for walks or playtime, and provide plenty of attention so they feel at ease while their owner is away. I understand that every pet has unique needs, and I’m committed to making sure they’re happy, safe, and well cared for in their own familiar environment.

About: I’ve had two dogs in my lifetime each for 12 years and I’ve always loved to be around them and to make sure they were safe and felt happy. I treat each pet like family. My reliability, calm demeanor and love for animals make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I will walk the dog everyday and I can board dogs every weekend. I have experience taking care of a French bulldog named Randy. Sometimes I go there to take care of him and other times I bring him to my apartment. I have space in our apartment for the dog to roam around and I live in a safe dog friendly neighborhood in which we can take the dog for long walks near a park and a pond.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my individualized care. Every animal is unique, and I tailor my approach to their specific needs and personality, ensuring they receive dedicated, personalized attention and genuine companionship, not just a standard service. Caring for animals isn’t just a job for me — it’s a natural part of my daily life. I structure my week around my pet-sitting commitments, making sure each visit gets the time and attention it deserves. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening cuddles, I plan my schedule to match each pet’s routine as closely as possible. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved is something I take seriously every day. When I’m caring for pets in their own homes, my goal is to keep them as comfortable and relaxed as possible by sticking to their usual routines. I take time to get to know each pet’s personality, preferences, and needs — whether that means keeping up with their favorite walking route, feeding schedule, playtime habits, or simply giving them space when needed. I always follow any instructions you provide closely, from medication to mealtime routines, and I keep the home tidy and secure while you're away. I treat every pet and home with respect, as if they were my own.

“Emily did an amazing job caring for my kitties, grateful to have found a sitter who is able to stay at my home with my pets while I’m out of town!”

“Isabel is great! She watched my baby for while I was away for a trip and loved on him exactly the way I would. Fleece can be a handle with between his energy and clinginess and Isabel did an amazing job. She was communicative every step of the way followed all care instructions and sent plenty of picture of my baby while I was away. I even had an emergency at the house while I was away and she handled it great! Offering extra help wherever she could. If you need a sitter don’t hesitate to contact Isabel!”

“Sara was wonderful! She sent pictures and kept me informed. Bella loved her and I think misses her. Thanks for everything, Sara. I hope you will dog sit for me again .❤️”

About: I've always been an animal lover through & through. Much to my father's dismay (and my delight), my mother brought home 2 dogs for me and my sister between the years of kindergarten & 2nd grade. As I grew up, I took on more & more responsibilities related to caring for our new canine family members. My husband & I don't currently have a dog mostly due to my work schedule (for that reason we have 2 lovely, social cats, who we adore), so I get my fill by frequently dog-sitting for my parents and sister. Through caring for my parent's dog, I learned about more advanced medication administration and other special needs. I'm innately a genuinely caring & affectionate person who will go beyond the staples of basic care and will make sure your pup feels loved & cherished, like a family member. I work as per diem occupational therapist in home health. I treat residents all over Bergen County, and I make my own schedule, so I'm flexible as long as I know who I'm seeing & where I need to be at least a few days in advance. I am a huge proponent of the Meet & Greet (M&G) session. This is a step that I feel should not be missed, as it helps to minimize the risk of any hiccups, so you can fully enjoy your time spent out of town! At the M&G, you'll show me how I can safely enter your home, where the food and other essential supplies are kept, and you will be encouraged to share info re: your doggy's daily routine, i.e. feeding & play preferences, specific behaviors I should know about, medications if needed, rules re: treats, or if other equipment like crates and/or ramps are necessary, as well as what to do in case of an emergency. Most importantly, it also gives your pup the opportunity to meet me prior to the first dog-sitting session, which I feel is an important exercise in trust-building.

About: Iv taken care of dogs since i was a kid including my own and for friends and family. I can also look after cats and exotic pets like birds and guinea pigs. I am currently available whenever including weekends. I’m available for house sitting, dog walking, boarding, drop in visits and doggy day care. I am flexible I have a fenced in yard and deck for your babies to run around and get fresh air and I live in a walkable quiet neighborhood.

“We were in town for graduation and were so lucky to find Keily! I was anxious about leaving our 7 month old puppy with a stranger so was very relieved when Keily was excellent in every aspect. She truly exceeded my expectations. Keily is very professional and communicative. She really cared about my puppy and clearly loves animals. I very much appreciated the text updates with pictures throughout the day. Graduation day was so enjoyable thanks to this experience on Rover. Thank you again, Keily, puppy Sam had a blast!”

“Stephen has cared for both my dogs on several occasions now, and I will never use someone else as long as he is available. His knowledge and experience around animals was very clear from the instant he met my pups.
