About: For most of my life, I have owned, loved, boarded, fostered, and/or cared for a broad range of animals, including dogs (small and large), cats (domesticated and feral), hamsters, rabbits, chickens, fish, one gerbil, one parrot, and a handful of reptiles. (I've also spent some time on farms learning husbandry.) From this comes experience with the full cycle of life with companion animals - birth, adolescence, training, advancements, setbacks, accidents, illness, aging, and loss. I'm no stranger to providing extra potty breaks for puppies (our interests are mutually aligned) or with giving daily medications. For the first time in many years, my home is without a pet of my own - let me dote on yours when you can't. I'm a retired(ish) attorney and veteran now working from home with plenty of time and attention to give to your fur babies. Regular walks and exercise are an important part of our routine. My property is ~ 2 acres, large portions of which are fenced but couldn't be properly described as secured. Your dog's temperament will determine whether it can roam / play / fetch unleashed, but in no event will dogs be outside unattended. Inside, I try to make my home as welcoming and comforting for your pets as I would hope would be done for mine - animals are allowed on the furniture and are invited to sleep where they please, unless you instruct otherwise.

“Kay was a wonderful cat sitter to our sweet girl. She was responsive, responsible, and connected well with our kitty Cleo. Would definitely recommend her to others!”

“Anna continues to be a reliable and patient professional with my dog! I’m so grateful I can work my 10+ hour shift without worrying about him at home knowing that Anna is dropping in to walk and care for him. Thanks, Anna!!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 20 years — not just as a sitter, but as a lifelong animal person. I live with two cats and two dogs (aka my little chaos crew), and I’ve been through it all: administering meds, soothing anxious pups, helping senior pets feel safe and loved, and even caring for a dog with epilepsy. I know how to read their body language, honor their boundaries, and make every visit feel like a familiar, comforting ritual. I also rescue animals when I see them in need — whether that’s coaxing a stray into safety, getting them vet care, or helping them find their forever home. I don’t just like animals — I see them, respect them, and care deeply about their safety, happiness, and autonomy. When your pet is with me, they’re not just getting fed and walked. They’re getting a friend, an advocate, and someone who truly gets them. I work from home and have a lot of flexibility. I would prefer long standing customers with at least one weekly walk to stay on my schedule. I do have a fenced in yard we could use for play. Though I would prefer to take dogs for walks in their neighborhoods or at the river. I am happy to play fetch, tug, go on long hikes, or take short strolls. Each animal must have their collar on with their owner's information.

“Alexander was awesome! My silly, hyper pup warmed up to him well and he made sure my big oy was taken care of without any deviations from our routine. I will be planning on booking Alexander soon!”

“Alanna was so great! She sent lots of pictures and followed the directions I left for her. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family in the area and will be booking with her again!”

“Allyson was great and helped out with my two crazy girls on short notice!”

“These folks are incredible!! So kind, great with my dog, and very flexible. I’ll be booking again!”

“Cindy was absolutely wonderful! She came for a meet and greet before the visit. She played with Rigby, walked him, fed him, and gave him treats. It was so great to have her help!”

About: Hi, I’m Yajaira, and I’ve been caring for pets my entire life! I absolutely love spending quality time with animals—whether it’s playtime, cuddles, or long walks. I have hands-on experience with wound care, senior pets, and special needs animals. One of my greatest joys is making homemade treats for my furry friends and watching them thrive. Fun fact: one of my favorite sounds is listening to pets happily drink water—it’s the little things that make me smile! I work locally four days a week and have a flexible schedule to meet your pet’s needs. I often use my hour-long lunch break to check on my pets, allowing them to play freely in my secure, fenced backyard. I’m available Fridays, weekends, and evenings after 6 PM to provide dedicated care for your fur babies. Your pet will feel right at home here! My spacious, open-layout house features cozy leather sofas that are pet-friendly, and I ensure there’s always clean water and food available on a consistent schedule. I also have a large fenced yard and a friendly dog who loves keeping other pets company. Need something extra? I can even create custom meals or meet any special requests for your pet’s care. I’m currently working 4 days a week, and I conveniently work on the corner of the street I live. I have 1 hours breaks everyday that I used to go back home and let the pets free on the fence backyard. I have Fridays and the weekends available to take care of your fur babies, and every day after six if needed. I have a big fence yard and one friendly dog to keep your pet company. I have a schedule time for food and clean water at all times. I have an open floor home that would be comfortable for your pet and leather sofas that pets are welcome to use. I can also create your pet if need to be.

About: I’ve had animals my whole life, and I have always felt a special connection to them. I have a ton of experience dog/cat sitting for neighbors and friends! I am currently in medical school at VCU and live in south Richmond. I have a busy schedule but it’s very flexible. I have good time management skills and I have watch pets for friends many times before! I’m not currently accepting animals in my home as I already have three here. But I am happy to do drop ins/walks/feedings/etc. I know how important feeding time is. If I’m a minute late my house is at stake for arson! I have tons of treats and toys for all of my pets. Stimulation is important :)
