I have no preference when it comes to the type of dog that I take care of. I have experience with puppies, old dogs, sick dogs, service dogs and I love them all. Please let me know if your dog has any medical or special needs that I can cater to while I am with them so that I can provide them with the best care possible!
A typical day
I love to do activities with dogs that cater both to the dog’s needs and abilities. For example, if I am with a high energy dog that needs to run I could run with them and play games. If I am with an older dog that doesn’t have as many physical capabilities, I could walk them, take them outside even just to feel the fresh air, or any activity that best catered to their needs. I would do any activities that are cleared to do by the owner and are safe for the dog’s abilities.

Hello my name is Grace! I obtained my degree in Social Work and moved to Richmond to pursue work at a local non profit! My family has had both indoor/outdoor pets and farm animals for my entire life in which I would care for everyday. We currently have cats, horses and a dog. When I am back home I take care of our animals everyday. I feed, walk, give medicine, clean up after and play with my dog and cats. I also feed, brush, give medicine and muck stalls for our horses. I have pet sat for other families with various different pets of different age groups and medical conditions over the past 14 years. I am a very optimistic person and enjoy spending time with any animal so much! I also deal with crisis very well and can adapt my care taking quickly to ensure the pet’s safety is always my top priority. My natural instinct is to always do everything I can to always make sure any animal around me is comfortable before thinking about myself!

We asked Grace to check in on our crazy orange cat a few times while we were out of town pretty last-minute, and she exceeded all expectations! She sent lots of pictures and gave great summaries each time she visited. Our cat hates to be alone for too long, and it was such a relief to know that Grace was giving her some much-needed love and attention! We'd definitely use Grace's services again in the future.
Grace is absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend her enough. She was able to help us out on such short notice on a holiday weekend and she took phenomenal care of our girl. Our dog is a little high maintenance and she’s our entire world and Grace was so communicative so thoughtful, so caring and took such great care of her with tons of pictures to boo!
