“Tamany treated my pup with so much care and he loved spending time with her and her daughter. He got so excited seeing them. He knew that he was going to have a great walk. This was my first experience using Rover and I was so worried about trusting my baby with a stranger. Tamany arranged a meet and greet first to make sure that she would be a good fit. I knew within the first 5 minutes that she would be perfect. Thank you Tamany for treating Remmy like he was your pup! I would recommend her in a heartbeat!”

“Amber was a pleasure to work with. She communicated even minor updates, cared so much that she cleaned up a small excitement piddle on the floor, and other things she noticed as things to be aware of. She was kind enough to also move a delivered package indoors for us. We absolutely look forward to future care with Amber as the need arises.”

I have taken care of neighbors, friends, and family’s animals growing up (and our own family pets) and just absolutely love getting to hangout and love on all types of animals! Pet care is something I genuinely enjoy and make time for in my weekly routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable care, regular walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention. I understand the importance of consistency for pets and do my best to maintain their normal routine while you’re away. Whether your pet needs an energetic play session or a calm companion, I’m happy to tailor my care to their individual needs. Although I don’t have a big, fenced in yard.. I love going on walks and being outdoors. I would love to bring your fur baby along with me! I am very cautious and aware of my surroundings at all times so I will be sure that when your pet is in my care, they are safe!
“Kayti has been great for Snoop. She walked him this week while I was having construction done at my home. She went above and beyond as there was an incident and she stay longer to ensure he was ok. I’m so thankful for her professionalism and care.”

About: Hi, I’m Amelia — lifelong animal lover, professional cuddler, enthusiastic dog-walker, and firm believer that every pet deserves to be treated like the VIP they are. 🐾 Whether your pup wants to run around the park until their tongue is on the ground, your kitty prefers a quiet afternoon of cuddles, or your pet’s idea of fun is simply having someone around to keep them company, I’m here for it! I love animals of all shapes, sizes, personalities, and levels of chaos. I’ll happily match their energy — from adventure buddy to couch companion — and make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and treats (where permitted, of course!). Your pets are family, and I’ll care for them like they’re my own. I'm always outdoors and I love exploring new parks. I have a flexible work schedule and I'm always up early. Whether it's early morning walks, lunch time to run around the park, or an evening stroll to get some of that energy out, I get joy out of being outside and being active, and I will bring your pet with me and we'll have a blast. First and foremost, I respect your rules in terms of indoor, outdoor or outside time. I always clean up after your pets, whether it's outside or in the litter box. I make sure their water is always fresh and any stray food is cleaned up. I love to brush and snuggle, making sure your pet is getting the attention they need, especially when they're human is away.
About: My name is Corrie and I love animals, I have 2 cats, 2 dogs and 2 kids. They mean so much to me. I have a passion for caring for animals of all kinds. I love going for walks with my dogs. I have a big yard that's 2.5 acres and we roam around the whole thing. Some of it's long grass so I will check for ticks. I cut or file my own dogs nails as well and can offer that if needed depending how well the dog or cat does. I work full time but work from home some days of the week, Wednesdays and Fridays. We are available in evenings and weekends. Especially in the winter. We have a large yard. Most of the time we let the dogs out on a 50 foot leash for quick potty breaks. Rocky is allowed to roam a little. Otherwise we walk the dogs around the yard or neighborhood. Have a large crate when needed.
About: Hi there! My name is Laura and I am a person with a huge heart for animals and have been my entire life! Most of my experience comes from my personal background of owning larger dogs in my family and on my own as an adult. I grew up with a yellow lab and now have a pitbull mix and a lab mix, so I am very familiar and skilled with handling large breeds and their exercise needs and behaviors. There are dogs of all sizes in my family and I feel very comfortable caring for and playing with pups of all sizes, too! I have brought both of my dogs to training courses and feel confident with handling various dog breeds. I bring a warm, welcoming personality which can help with animals that are more shy and are missing their parents. I take a nurturing and maternal approach with all pets to make sure that they know I can be trusted. I look forward to bonding with your beloved friends and being a Rover employee you can count on! Feel free to message me with any questions. *Also, if there are specific dates that I am listed as unavailable on my calendar & you are interested in booking, send me a message and I will see if I am able to accommodate your request.* I currently offer walk, house sitting, and drop-in services. I usually have the most availability for house-sitting on weekends and am a great sitter to rely on if you’d like to go out of town for a weekend get away. If you are looking to book a drop-in visit or walk, I have more availability during the week days for those services. Feel free to reach out with any questions. I also am currently working full time, so I will be away from your home M-F from around 8 am - 5:30 pm, but would plan to be home all evening with your dog(s). When taking care of your dog(s), I always make sure that they are in sight and either safely inside your home, in a fenced in yard or on a leash. I am vigilant about making sure any pets I take care of are always accounted for and never running loose on their own, as I treat your pups as I would treat my own. When it comes to house sitting, with all my clients I like to stay overnight at their home so they can feel at ease knowing their pets are being watched after and there is someone present to watch over their property while away.

My Finn warmed up immediately, Lily took a little bit but she always came home happy from her walk. She was always on time and sent lots of cute pictures as updates.”

About: Though I’m new to Rover, I've watched animals for friends, family, and employers for the past 10 years and would love to chat with you to see if I can help you with yours. As a former receptionist at an emergency vet clinic and with extensive experience with my own fur babies, I'm very aware of the health risks to both cats and dogs and have training in recognizing signs of distress. I will work with you to establish an emergency plan beforehand if you are going on extended trips. I also have experience with several vets in the area and even bringing animals to the animal chiropractor. I know that every animal's personality is unique, and routines are important for managing stress. My goal is to be that trustworthy, consistent, and dependable addition to your animal's care team. We always had multiple cats and dogs at one time in my family home growing up. They were more than my animals; they were my brothers and sisters and beloved friends. I've loved and cared for 3 of my cats and 2 of my dogs into their senior years and through medical complications. I have experience with administering medications, including insulin to cats, animals with arthritis, and care after major procedures. I currently have open availability during weekdays M-F. I'm here to provide weekday support via check-ins and walks for busy families, as well as support with home visits if you are on vacation. I do work weekends, so my availability over weekends is limited. I respect all house rules and work with you to get every detail of care, big or small. You set how many updates you’d like to receive when away, but it’s standard for me to write a document of all activity and behavior after each of my visits for you and your vet to reference at any time. I’m happy to do initial home visits to make sure care works for us both.
About: I’ve been around animals all my life. I have three goldendoodles, Sullie who’s 10, Allie who’s 5, and Marlie who’s 2. I have helped potty train them all and have taught them basic tricks. I have also cared for friends/families pets when in need. I love all animals and enjoy making them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, medications, or extra cuddles, I’m happy to help. I’m currently a full-time nursing student and have a summer nurse internship working 12 hour shifts, but I have multiple days off throughout the week that allow me to spend quality time caring for pets. My schedule varies, so I keep my availability updated. When I’m caring for your pet, they’ll get lots of attention, love, and dependable care! I always try to stick to each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and stress free. In your home, I will provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box cleanup, potty breaks, and lots of attention and affection. I also make sure the home is left clean and secure. I’ll also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pet is doing well!
About: I’ve taken care of cats, dogs, chickens mainly for family and friends, some neighbors. I very good with young hyper dogs considering I have a miniature Aussie. I also have a 12 senior dog who can only go on 15 min walks. I love all animals wether it’s watching/playing with them or taking them on walks! Pet care fits into my schedule cause I’m a young hairstylist who is trying to fill up her books. Being a new hairstylist isn’t easy and I want to fulfill my time well considering bills I have to pay each month I am very comfortable with animals depending if you want me to spend the night or not. I’m very flexible with coming and going or simple taking them on walks. I love to take my own dogs on walk and runs as well!

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Cedar. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Cedar.

- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
