“Shaelyn is a positive, friendly, capable person! She definitely spent a lot of valuable time with our kitty, which is what we wanted! Photos and messages were often, making me feel very comfortable with our cat’s care and emotional well being!”

“Stephanie is incredible!! She has great communication and sends a ton of updates. I could tell from the photos she was sending me dogs were obsessed with her! I could not say enough good things about Stephanie! We will 100% only be using her going forward :)”

“Christine was great! Regular updates without needing to ask, pictures, and descriptions of their happy days together. Christine also took this job short notice, professionally handed a scheduling error that I was at fault for, and easily dealt with unexpected issues like building management providing notice for annual inspections. 100% will book again.”

“Anthea was great!! She was very reliable and loving with our 2 doggies. She took them on walks everyday, and took them to the local dog park to play with other dogs. One of our dogs needs medication 3 times a day, she had no problem administering those. Every night she sent updates and pictures! The house was clean when we got home. She picked up the poop, took garbage out and brought in the mail. I would highly recommend Anthea to stay at your home and watch your pets.”

“Kristy was lovely. Clear in communicating and easy to coordinate. She was able to get my shy cat to come out of hiding and be happy. Hands down one of the best pet sitter I have hired.”

“Pamela took excellent care of my two high-energy, playful pups over the course of six days. Pamela gave us multiple updates every day and fantastic photos! We came home to happy dogs and a clean house. We highly recommend Pamela to others and will gladly hire again to care for the pups and our home while we are away.”

“Olivine was absolutely wonderful! Our Copper was grieving the loss of her little sister and she really went out of her way to give her extra attention and cuddles. We couldn’t be more grateful.”

“Michaela brought such ease to us, since we had a lot of anxiety leaving our elderly girls. We haven’t lived in the area long and our previous sitter was not a great experience. Michaela went above and beyond to care for our little ones. Nami unfortunately rolled in some paint that our maintenance folks were messy with and she cleaned her right up. She left the most adorable pet art that I’ll cherish, since these lil ladies are our world. She was extensively cleaned up and even stayed an additional hour when our flight was delayed. I couldn’t recommend Michaela enough.”

“Brian did an awesome job on his week long stay with our 10 year old hound dog Leeroy. We really appreciated his attention to detail and regular check ins with us. Right before we left town Leeroy got a few hot spots and Brian went above and beyond keeping them clean and making sure Leeroy didn’t scratch at them. Brian stayed at our house and left it exactly as it was before we left town and even helped water our plants during the heatwave. This was Brian’s first stay with Leeroy and it went great - we will definitely reach out to him again! Thanks Brian!”

“For an entire year I had a 23-day trip booked and because I had moved away from my best dog sitter in Renton, WA, and needed to find a new dog sitter who lived in Vancouver, WA, I was getting worried. My dog Sammi was almost 15 years old and quite a needy (but sweet) dog. I found Pat and was very happy with the time, care and love she gave my elderly girl. Sammi did extremely well while in Pat's care and Pat sent me pictures of Sammi at Starbucks and shopping. Sammi needed a caring and loving adult sitter and we definitely found one in Pat! I would recommend Pat for anybody needing that perfect sitter! ”

“Gwen took excellent care of my dog. I appreciated the updates and photos. It was my first experience with Rover. I now understand pets are happiest in their own environment and own routine. Gwen made the weekend easy for Muffin and stress free for me.”

“Brigit was awesome. She was super professional, very communicative, sent regular updates, and took great care of our beagle and our house. We would absolutely have her watch Max again. Thanks, Brigit!”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter! We have 5 dogs & 6 cats and were going out of town for over a week. Usually family watches them but one of our dogs has developed medical problems they’re not comfortable managing. Selma saved the day!! She has a history in veterinary medicine and handled my dog's health needs with ease. I felt so at ease knowing she was taken care of while I was gone. Even with 11 pets Selma managed to give them all individual attention, and she did a lot of extra tasks to make sure our home was clean and ready for us when we came back. I’m endlessly grateful, and Selma is worth every penny if you’re considering booking with her!”

“Hayden took excellent care of my dog Cairo when I was away. He did a great job making me feel like he was taking care of his own pet. 5 stars!! The animals are drawn to him!”

“DeeDee was great with my pups while I was out of town! They both really loved her and seemed very happy with her company! I would definitely use her again to stay with my dogs! Thanks DeeDee!”

“Flexible, communicated, sent photos and allowed me to never have a doubt that my pup was enjoying his time or taken care of. 10/10 and would book again”

“Anabelle watched our 3 dogs and they absolutely loved her. We have 1 dog that is very shy and every photo update he was snuggled up to her. Our house was clean, koi fish good and plant starts happy!”

About: I have had extensive experience with dogs while working at a doggy daycare for about 4 years. I managed safe playgroups for dogs of various ages and sizes. Additionally, I did basic obedience training for puppies and young adults. I regularly do dog-sitting overnight for some families when they travel over the summer, and I treat their fur-baby as if they were my own. I myself have a dog that I love and I know how hard it can be to balance working, taking care of your fur baby, and also living your life. I would love to have the opportunity to treat your fur baby as my own! I work early enough in the mornings that most of my afternoons/evenings are free. I typically spend them walking my own dogs or do training with them. It would be super easy to add another pet into mix and take care of them. As someone that regularly dog-sits and stays in my clients homes’, I treat their homes and possessions with the same care and respect that I would expect of someone staying in my own home. If I make a mess, I clean it. I leave everything just as they have left it. In my home, I make sure that potential hazards are put away and everything is dog-safe. One of my pups is 1.5 so we keep our home puppy-friendly at all times.

Nicole M.
“Nicole is truly amazing with all animals. She has an incredible gift when it comes to caring for pets, not just dogs, but all animals. Her calm, nurturing presence puts even the most anxious pets at ease, and she approaches every interaction with genuine care and attentiveness. What truly sets Nicole apart is the heart she brings to this work. She doesn’t just “watch” our dogs, she loves them like her own. She wakes up every day with their well-being on her mind, checking in regularly, remembering their personalities, and making sure their needs are met, often before we even realize them ourselves. From managing severe allergies and special dietary requirements to calling specialists and vet appt drop-offs, she handles it all with professionalism and grace. She is dependable, trustworthy, and always shows up with a smile. Our dogs adore her! Just the mention of her name gets tails wagging and noses pressed against the window. We feel at complete peace knowing Nicole is with them. If you're looking for someone who will love and care for your pets as if they were her own, Nicole is that person. Her dedication, consistency, and compassion are unmatched.”
Cascade Southeast pet parents share their Rover experiences
I have been using Rover for many years and have had mixed results with sitters. Skylar has been the best sitter I have had and would recommend her to anyone. Her communication, flexibility, and overall care for our pets was the best I’ve had. She was wonderful with our reactive dogs, patient with our shy cat, and extremely accommodating when our travels ran into delays.

Michaela, unfortunately, had to deal with a broken nail on one of our dogs that happened the night before our trip, and she handled it extremely well - she kept us informed and took the right precautions to let it heal. Our house was spotless and pups were relaxed and clearly cared for upon our arrival. Michaela’s communication was honestly perfect for us. She sent a picture and a message, daily, and it was plenty (sometimes it can be a bit too much from sitters). We’d definitely let Michaela care for our pups and home again :)

Alex is the best! We needed help with our three cats with very little scheduling notice, and Alex stepped up to help. He took notes while I went over their routine, and I could tell he took caring for them very seriously. He even agreed to bringing in our mail and watering some plants. One of our cats is diabetic and needs insulin injections twice daily, and she was also on an oral antibiotic. Alex updated us regularly about how the cats were doing, whether or not the diabetic cat was eating, and how feedings and medication administrations went. It really eased our anxieties with leaving our three cats with individual needs in the hands of someone so capable and trustworthy. Alex's professionalism and dedication to providing quality care for our cats and the house while we were gone allowed us to focus on what we needed to at that time. We will undoubtedly request his services for future cat care needs while we are away.

We have been privileged to have Paul sit for our rescue chihuahua, Charlie, multiple times. He and his wife Jan take excellent care of our boy and our home. Indescribable piece of mind knowing Charlie is in his own home, with his favorite pal, Paul. Highly recommend!

We truly appreicate Heaven staying in our home so she could watch over and feed cat and dog and also to walk our dog every 4 hours. She was super patient with both our fur babies as they are not use to someone else taking care of them. She did an excellent job and I will be using her again. Thanks Heaven.

Athena was wonderful! This was our second time having her house sit and first time with our puppy. She was very flexible and understanding when the morning of our trip, our puppy was experiencing some issues that required me to stay home longer and her to give some unexpected added medications. Our puppy hasn’t required many meds yet and Athena was able to figure out ways to get her to take them and she was immediately on the mend and did great while we were gone. She took great care of our girls and our home. I know that our pups can’t wait for us to leave again so she can come stay with them!
