Anna has been fantastic with our dog, Chad. She’s reliable, communicative, and clearly cares about the dogs she works with. We always feel confident knowing Chad is in good hands, and he’s always happy after his walks. Highly recommend Anna to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog walker!

As I have had surgery and can't walk Gary for while, I looked for someone on Rover to help out. I'm so glad I came across Ingrid! She is so professional, reliable, and good with my big golden who has never walked very well on a leash for me. Ingrid has the magic touch, along with the skills, to help with the pulling. I would highly recommend Ingrid for any Rover service.

I was SO NERVOUS to use Rover but we are glad we did. Shari was perfect! She was on time, did exactly what she said she would. It was such a relief knowing she was coming in and we will not hesitate to use her again if the timing fit.

Silvia was absolutely wonderful! I am an anxious person about our dogs' care. We also have a senior dog with her own quirks. Silvia was kind and patient in getting to know our dogs and communicated with me every day about the visits. I highly recommend her and look forward to requesting her support for our dogs in the future! Thank you so much, Silvia!!

About: I have had all sorts of pets from chinchillas to parakeets to dogs and cats. I have experience taking care of neighbors pets as well as my own. I have traveled a bit and needed pet care many of times so I know how it can be hard to leave your pets with others so I try to provide pet sitting just like you would do you don’t have to worry. I am available most mornings and evenings throughout the week. I can provide both pet walking service and overnight at your home. I am flexible and will do my best to fit your schedule. I take my dog for a couple walks every day. We crate when not at home. We mostly free feed and our dog is fully housebroken. I understand many pet parents have their own pet care system and I will follow that system.

About: Hi, my name is Hailey and I’m 28 years old. I am currently going to nursing school full time and I am trying to make some extra money on the side to support my family. My husband and I have had our one dog(Kota, female) for 6 years now and another dog(Ash, male) for 4 years. I also have 2 outdoor barn kitties and 8 chickens. I love to homestead, grow my own veggies and read in my spare time. We have had our dog Kota(English-setter, 11 years old) since she was a puppy and my husband and I decided to adopt Ash(boxer, 6 years old) when he was only 1 year old. He was labeled free and the previous owner could not take care of him, plus he was not trained. He had never experienced grass before so when we first got him his paws would bleed and I got the opportunity to help heal him and hone in to correct his bad behavior skills. I would dedicate 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour at night to train him for a year before he started to trust me and we developed a wonderful relationship like we have with our Kota. I love all of our animal immensely and I believe that animals are not some inanimate object you have but a true companion in your life that deserves to be treated like family. I would love to care for your pet and I can provide some training while doing so in a positive reward environment. I do not believe in animal abuse or keeping animals without having dedication in creating a relationship. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile, I look forward to working with you. I have school in the mornings during the week and I have study time after that. I can work with your pet most likely afternoons and weekends as long as I’m not busy that weekend. I am flexible, it just depends on the requested times. I believe in reward training and care. I have worked with my own dogs through kennel training and rewarding good behavior. Abuse is not a form of training in my mind, I believe any animal can be trained as long as you put the time and effort into them. Doing this creates a stable and loving relationship between you and that animal.

For our shy dog, he gives gentle attention and praise, working to form a bond of trust. He was also so thoughtful to stow our Amazon delivery safely out of sight. He really is the best!

About: I grew up around many animals, especially dogs! Breeds I’m most familiar with include shar-peis, pitbulls, rottweilers, and German shepherds! I’ve also taken care of bunnies, guinea pigs, leopard geckos, and bearded dragons, so no pet is too much for me! I just graduated university and am looking to return to university online to get a second bachelors degree, so I currently am not looking for a job and instead would love to be able to get out of the house and boost my serotonin by meeting people’s pets! I love cuddling with pets and seeing their personalities start to shine through as they get more comfortable! I love taking dogs on walks, seeing how long it will take a cat to choose to sit with me, and holding reptiles for as long as they like! Just being around a person’s pet while their owner is away makes me feel great since I know I’m giving the owner peace of mind while making a new friend.

Shyanne, agreed to walk Aithusa the night before after another walker canceled due to illness. She sent pictures and route of thier walk and communicated when needing to adjust the time of one of his walks. Aithusa was happy when I returned home from work. I think thier walks helped him not miss his mom, who's away.

About: Hi! I’m Jen — a lifelong animal lover with over 4 years of hands-on experience working at an animal shelter, plus many additional months caring for dogs and other animals on a small farm property. If there’s one thing I truly understand, it’s dogs. Especially the shy, anxious, and misunderstood ones. They hold a very special place in my heart! There is no greater feeling than earning the trust of a dog who needs a little extra patience and understanding. At the shelter I worked with every type of dog imaginable, from easygoing family pups to dogs with more complex needs due to past trauma. I was trusted to walk and handle even the more anxious or sensitive dogs, helping them build confidence and learn to trust new people. I’m very comfortable reading dog body language and adjusting my approach so each dog feels safe, respected, and understood. One of the dogs I worked closely with, Donald, needed a trusted handler present while new volunteers learned how to walk him safely, and I helped train others so he could get the exercise and enrichment he deserved. I also helped start enrichment initiatives at the shelter, including treat puzzles, mental stimulation games, and a “dog play buddy” program to give the dogs additional socialization and activity. One of my most special experiences there was helping care for a mama dog who gave birth to a litter of 10 (10!) puppies. I helped care for and socialize those puppies as they grew until they were ready for their forever homes. I also have experience caring for senior animals and understand that older pets often need a little extra patience, gentleness, and attention to their comfort and routine. Beyond dogs, I also have experience caring for cats and bunnies. Over the past few months I’ve helped care for my landlady’s 1yo kitty, and I’m very comfortable providing drop-in care and pet sitting for cats and small animals as well. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting/boarding and I treat every animal like they’re my own. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality, comfort level, and body language so they feel safe and relaxed while their owner is away. I’m always happy to send updates and photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is simple: every animal I care for should feel safe, so very loved, and understood. Pet care is my primary focus, so my daily routine is built around providing consistent, hands-on care. I structure my day to include regular potty breaks, feeding schedules, exercise, enrichment, and downtime, depending on each pet’s needs. I’m home for the majority of the day, which allows me to provide a high level of supervision and attention. Pets are rarely left alone for extended periods, and I’m able to adjust my schedule to support different energy levels, routines, and personalities. Whether a dog needs more activity and engagement or a calm, low-stress environment, I’m able to tailor my day to ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for. I care for every pet based on who they are — not just a one-size-fits-all routine. I pay close attention to body language, energy levels, and comfort cues so pets feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for. In my home, dogs stay on a fully fenced 10-acre farm property where they can safely explore, play, and decompress. All outdoor time is supervised, and I’m intentional about creating a balanced environment — active play for dogs who love it, and plenty of quiet downtime for those who don’t. I have a friendly Mini Goldendoodle and a very mellow senior pup in the home, and I take introductions slowly and thoughtfully. I’m always prepared to separate or crate dogs if needed to keep everyone comfortable and safe. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to your routines and preferences so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. I keep things calm, consistent, and predictable, which is especially important for anxious or sensitive animals. I’m very comfortable with a wide range of personalities, including dogs who need a little extra patience or structure, and I pride myself on creating an environment where pets can relax and just be themselves.

About: My genuine love for animals and a diverse range of hands-on learning experiences has made me into a well-rounded individual to care for your pup! I've spent my entire life alongside dogs, both big and small, and have always considered them as family members. I've been fortunate enough to be involved in the upbringing of multiple litters of puppies, which helped me understand the level of dedication required to ensure their healthy development. Volunteering at an animal shelter exposed me to a wide range of animal personalities and needs. It gave me valuable insights into the importance of patience, compassion, and adaptability when caring for pets, especially those in transitional or challenging situations. During this time, I administered medication and assisted with vaccines as well. I also have a history of caring for high-maintenance breeds which honed my abilities in grooming, nutrition, exercise, and healthcare tailored to their specific requirements. I am currently studying from home full time while also occasionally accepting shifts as a substitute teacher at a local elementary school. This offers considerable flexibility in my schedule for pet care services for your pup! This means that I can easily adjust my daily routine to cater to the specific requirements of your furry companion. Whether your pup needs a jog through the park, some companionship while you're away, or even a bit of extra TLC, my schedule is designed to be adaptable and responsive to your pet's well-being. I provide customized care routines, taking the time to understand your pet's specific needs and routines within your home. Whether it's feeding, exercise, or playtime, I tailor my care to match what your pet is accustomed to. This ensures a smooth transition while you're away. Being an active individual, my goal is to keep pets mentally and physically stimulated, and I adapt activities to suit each pet's unique needs and energy levels. Whether it's fetch, tug-of-war, or simply cuddling on the couch, I'm flexible and adapt to their preferences. Communication is paramount to me. I maintain open lines of contact with pet owners, providing regular updates and photos to keep them informed and reassured. In addition to attentive care, I prioritize cleanliness and organization. I take care of household tasks related to your pet's care and keeping their living area well-maintained. I will also accommodate special requests or specific care routines. Whether it's senior pet care, administering medications, or any other specific needs, I am committed to meeting them. Your pet's well-being is my top priority, and I'm here to ensure they are comfortable, happy, and healthy during your absence.

About: I've worked at an animal hospital. I've worked at animal rescues. I love pets all animals. They are what makes life worth living. I take care of animals as if they were my own children. I watch my own pets daily. If I were to watch your pet they would be well taken care of and make sure thier needs are met. For boarding at my home I have a huge space/room for your pet to stay. I have a fully fenced yard in back/front. Enough room for running around and playing. A separate room space indoor huge. Although our pets are friendly I would never have our pets around your dog while staying. They will be separated and taken out in the yard separately. For boarding at your home I would do anything your pet wanted run/walk/play/feed. I just have a baby so I can't stay the night. But I would visit morning and night. If I am able to book your pet I would make sure their needs are met and taken care of first and foremost. I would feed, play, and cuddle. In my home your pet would have a spacious environment. We have a big space for the pet to have their own room and privacy. We have a fully fenced yard for roaming and running. Your pet would be absolutely happy here. If I were to sit at your home I would make sure the pet is comfortable. I would obviously feed them to your preferences. I would take them in the back yard or walk. Overall I would make it feel like the owner never left as much as I could

About: With years of experience in dog care including breeding and pet sitting many different breeds such as; Labs, Pit bulls, German Shepards, Dachshunds, and Corgis for our friends and family, I have developed a deep understanding of differentiating canine needs. Above all, I believe in patience and consistency, ensuring that each dog feels cared for whether they’re with me for a short period or a long stay. I only work 3 days a week and have a very flexible schedule which would make it easy for me to care for other dogs. I also have a very helpful partner I live with who also loves animals. I have a fully fenced yard with two very friendly corgis. Our spacious yard provides plenty of room for dogs to run, play, and explore safely. We have a doggy door so they have easy access to get in and out. We live in a very safe neighborhood with lots of pet friendly trails.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
