About: I have taken care of dogs for neighbors, doctors, hospital CEOs, friends and family ever since I was 10. All types of dogs and requests and breeds. I’m at home unless I’m running to the grocery store or doing an extracurricular activity. I can be here for your fur babies when you have to be away. 😻 I have a 6ft fenced yard. I have the ability to separate my yard into 6 different areas at nearly half an acre. I have multiple kennels and some with tops and grooming and bathing equipment. In home day care is heavily screened. Your dog will not have access to the inside of my home, kids, or my pets. Large outdoor area and garage kennels will be fully accessible. Kennels are cleaned with vet rescue which kills parvo. Fresh water in kennels and outside. All are properly sanitized. Health and safety is top priority for everyone. Puppies not fully vaccinated will be in a separate area. Walks, my children will be attending if dogs are child friendly.

They can get overstimulated in new places, and honestly, so could we. With my wife currently pregnant, we could only do so much physically, and we were feeling pretty overwhelmed and anxious trying to balance everything while still making sure the girls were happy and cared for. Once that went well, we introduced Miley too, and she integrated perfectly with the group. Melissa sent us photo updates throughout the day, which gave us so much peace of mind. You can tell she genuinely loves dogs and has a lot of experience caring for them. Seeing the girls smiling in her backyard overlooking Incline Village and Lake Tahoe made us feel like we absolutely made the right decision. What meant the most to us was what her care allowed us to do. Knowing the girls were in safe and loving hands allowed my wife and I to finally relax, go on a short hike together, spend quality time with each other, and actually enjoy one of our last days in Tahoe without constantly worrying or feeling overstimulated ourselves. That peace of mind was priceless. Melissa took such great care of Gracie and Miley, and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy, experienced, and genuinely caring. About: I have lived in Tahoe for 25 years and always had my own dog and watched over my friend's dogs throughout the years. My best friend (Maggie - Retriever) passed away 18 months ago and I watch many of my friend's dogs frequently, including an elderly short hair retriever that is battling pancreatic cancer. I work from home and board my friend's dogs as well as check in and walk dogs when owners need help. I do have a number of recent references. I have worked from home for 25 years. I am very active and walk frequently. I am an early morning riser and monitor how often dogs need a walk or outside break. Pets are a part of my daily routine. My home: I have beds set up and recognize different doggy routines, ie need to go on the porch for sun, or need to go out for a break and walk. I have a section on my porch and in the laundry area for their food and water and a special area where I organize all the food, medication, leaches, doggy bags. I have a place by my couches with a large basket with balls, toys and stuffed doggy animals. I watch a number of my friend's dogs, and each has a unique and special routine and they have all come to trust me a look forward to visiting. I stay a bit at some of my friend's houses if they want me to help with house watch, plants, delivery receipt and other home needs while they are traveling and away on extended trips.
