“This review is long overdue! Gina and Erik watched our two golden retrievers while in Tahoe for a family gathering in May 2023. They treated our dogs like their own and sent us lots of updates, photos and videos of our dogs during their stay. Our dogs looked SO HAPPY and clearly LOVED Gina and Erik. During a thunderstorm, one of our dogs was scared and Gina made a rub of essentials oils to help calm him, and Erik gave him hugs on the couch. They gave them such love, pets and hugs and we couldn't have asked for better dog sitters during our time in Tahoe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Gina and Erik!”

About: Dogs are part of the family in my home, and I’ll treat yours the same way. I have a large yard with plenty of room to play and relax, and dogs are welcome to make themselves comfortable inside (including cuddling up on the couch). I have experience with dogs of different sizes, ages, and energy levels. My family includes a larger Labradoodle and a small Chihuahua/Terrier mix, both older, so I am also very comfortable with senior dogs and their needs. My goal is for your dog to feel safe, loved, and completely at home while they’re here. Pet care is already part of my everyday routine since I have dogs of my own. I work from home often and have plenty of flexibility for playtime, potty breaks, attention, and lots of cuddles. Your dog will be included in my normal family routine and get plenty of time both inside outside in my large yard. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to play and explore safely. Inside, dogs are treated like family and are welcome to relax, including on the couch. “I was brand new to the area with no established pet sitter and needed to travel last minute. Local kennels couldn’t accommodate me on such short notice. A Google search turned up the Rover app which in turn brought me to Gina and Erik. They had good reviews and repeat customers, so I contacted them via the app. They could accommodate me, had good prices, and asked me if I wanted to come see their home first. My cat is both a mama’s boy and a bit of a scaredy cat. I’d never boarded him before. I was worried he’d think he’d been abandoned again. (He’d been a stray after being adopted as a kitten. He was nine when I adopted him.) He was anxious at first, but in the pictures and videos that Gina and Erik sent, I could see that he was relaxing with them more each day. On the day I was to drive back home, I woke with a migraine. There was no way I could do the drive. I had to ask for an additional day with no advance notice. Fortunately Gina and Erik were able to keep my cat one day longer. Also, I forgot to mention the poopy mess that Gina helped me clean up when I first dropped him off. They provided me with above and beyond service. I wholeheartedly recommend them.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for neighbors, doctors, hospital CEOs, friends and family ever since I was 10. All types of dogs and requests and breeds. I’m at home unless I’m running to the grocery store or doing an extracurricular activity. I can be here for your fur babies when you have to be away. 😻 I have a 6ft fenced yard. I have the ability to separate my yard into 6 different areas at nearly half an acre. I have multiple kennels and some with tops and grooming and bathing equipment. In home day care is heavily screened. Your dog will not have access to the inside of my home, kids, or my pets. Large outdoor area and garage kennels will be fully accessible. Kennels are cleaned with vet rescue which kills parvo. Fresh water in kennels and outside. All are properly sanitized. Health and safety is top priority for everyone. By some miracle, Tim happened to be available with less than a day notice. He picked up our dogs at the hotel. Usually one of our dogs takes a while to warm up to new people. We were nervous but Tim is some sort of dog whisperer! In no time at all, the dogs were in his car and off for a day of fun. They spent the day taking a drive, then a hike, and then relaxing in the lap of luxury at Tim's house. We got photos throughout the day and it was obvious that Tim was the dogs' new favorite person. We were able to enjoy the wedding stress free. Tim returned the dogs to us late at night. It couldn't have been easier. Our only regret is that we live too far away to make Tim our regular sitter. “This review is long overdue! Gina and Erik watched our two golden retrievers while in Tahoe for a family gathering in May 2023. They treated our dogs like their own and sent us lots of updates, photos and videos of our dogs during their stay. Our dogs looked SO HAPPY and clearly LOVED Gina and Erik. During a thunderstorm, one of our dogs was scared and Gina made a rub of essentials oils to help calm him, and Erik gave him hugs on the couch. They gave them such love, pets and hugs and we couldn't have asked for better dog sitters during our time in Tahoe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thank you Gina and Erik!”

About: I have over 20 years of experience caring for pets, including senior dogs who need extra patience, attention, and gentle care. I understand that every pet is unique and deserves love, respect, and personalized care. I can provide walks, playtime, feeding, basic medications, and lots of affection. I treat every pet like family, so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in caring and reliable hands. I work tuesday through saturday normally, but in slow season I work since Wednesday to Saturday...I have availability before and after work, as well as on Sundays and Mondays. I'm happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and overnight care when my schedule allows. I'll always communicate clearly and make sure your pet receives the attention, love, and care they deserve. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, and routines to help your pet feel safe and relaxed. I always keep a clean, calm environment, provide plenty of attention and affection, and treat every pet with the same love and respect I give my own.

About: Hello! I’m a local dental hygienist that will treat your pet as if it’s my own. I am a healthy balance of being active and outdoorsy as well as a homebody, so I am able to adjust my daily routine to meet your pet’s needs/wants! I can’t wait to meet you and your fur baby! I work Monday and Tuesday from 7:30 to 5 and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6:30 to 3. I’m available for drop-ins, walks, day care and overnight stays any times that do not fall within those timeframes.
