Jessica is fantastic! She made sure to arrange for our dog Andrey to meet their dog before doing daycare/boarding in order to make sure the pooches would get along happily, and they sure did. Their dog Cap is a cutie! Jessica took great care of Andrey, giving him lots of attention and supervising his happy playtime with Cap. Her home is an excellent environment, and she took Andrey on nice long walk as well. He came home happy, healthy, and tired, just like we'd hoped. I highly recommend Jessica to entrust with your pooch.

I don't think there are enough words to express how grateful I am for the care and support Young provided while watching my puppy. Saint is a large hunting breed - and a puppy - so he's full of energy and requires a ton of attention. Despite typically only watching smaller dogs, Young was kind enough to step in and help when I REALLY needed it (on move-in day... during a blizzard... on a Monday). That alone meant the world to me. Throughout the stay, he kept me updated with thoughtful messages and plenty of pictures - even if Saint made it nearly impossible to get a clear shot (darn puppy lol). Still, it was obvious that my dog was happy, safe, and well cared for. There's nothing more relieving than knowing that someone is putting genuine care into your loved one - especially for anxious moms like me! I really appreciate the empathy, flexibility, and patience shown - especially since not everyone would take on a situation like this. If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares and goes the extra mile, I can't recommend Young enough. He even has a fun website where you can check in, view high-quality photos to download, and see all the cute pups who have been under his care. And if you're curious about his setup, he's got tons of yard space, an additional courtyard, SO MANY TOYS, and even more treats lol. This is clearly a huge passion of his, and it's comforting to know his heart is in the right place. Thank you again, Young!!

About: Hi, I’m Kiara! I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, and I know firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and love. Whether it’s going for long walks, playing fetch, giving belly rubs, or making sure your pet gets fed and cared for on schedule, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they’re my own—lots of attention, cuddles, and care. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to send updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether you need daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight pet sitting, I’ll make sure your pets get the exercise, love, and attention they deserve. I’m currently unemployed and a new first time mommy just trying to make ends meet. I am available 24/7 and I am okay with last minute bookings! When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure they stay on their usual routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll provide fresh food and water, clean up after them, and give them the love and attention they’re used to. For dogs, that means plenty of walks, playtime, and belly rubs to keep them happy and exercised. For cats, that could be play with their favorite toys, brushing, or just quiet company for more independent kitties. I always take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs—whether it’s an energetic pup who loves adventure or a shy cat who just needs gentle care. I’ll keep food and litter/walk areas tidy, follow your instructions closely, and keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or health. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured that your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

About: I’ve been caring for animals from house sitting to dog walking since my teenage years, and it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. Neighbors, family friends, and family have trusted me to provide exceptional care for their furry companions. My deep love for animals led me to volunteer at the UCD Vet Center during high school, where I assisted veterinarians in hands on care. Later, I dedicated time to shelters like the Davis SPCA and the Pacific Palisades SPCA in Los Angeles, working with rescue animals and learning how to nurture even the most vulnerable pets. Over the years, I’ve rescued and rehabilitated numerous animals, many of whom became cherished members of my family. It’s been an incredible journey watching them thrive, whether it’s a senior dog finding comfort or a shy kitten finally coming out of their shell. My approach is rooted in holistic care, recognizing that diet, environment, and emotional well-being are just as important as physical health. I’ve seen firsthand how natural remedies, proper nutrition, and mindful interaction can transform an animal’s quality of life. Whether your pet needs a lively walk, a playful home visit, or overnight care while you’re traveling, I’d love to be their trusted companion. I believe in tailoring care to each animal’s unique personality, whether that means helping calm anxious pups or adjusting activities for a senior dog with mobility challenges. Feel free to ask me anything—I’m happy to share references or discuss how I can best support your pet’s needs. Looking forward to meeting your four-legged family member and giving them the same love and attention I’ve given animals my whole life! I am currently really flexible with days and hours available. I am working from home right now which allows me this flexibility. Open m- f as well as weekends I have a fenced yard and one dog at home that loves and gets along with all animals and is super friendly. I have plenty of space and separate rooms in the house along with a gate I can put up if your fury love wants a little space of their own for play time!

Gissell is awesome! She accepted my doggy daycare request on short notice and took great care of my baby boy Henry. Her senior dog Sierra is a sweetheart and still has a lot of pep in her step. Gissell’s home is super nice, clean, and a great space for dogs to sniff around, roam in the yard and sunbathe on the porch. I received pictures and videos of Henry during his visit and he barely wanted to come home with me he had such a great time over there. Thanks so much Gissell!

Destiny is fantastic! My dog Cherry is quite timid, but Destiny knew exactly what to do! She sent me ample updates throughtout the day as well as giving me a run down of how the day went when I went to pick her up. Also, she knew exactly how to introduce our dogs together (even offering a meeting time before my scheduled daycare day) as she is very well-versed in dog body language. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Gold Hill

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 375 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Gold Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Gold Hill commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NV ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 375 sitters in Gold Hill, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
