Rachel was great! Gave regular updates each time they visited and took great care of our two cats. It was nice to know someone was checking in them while we were away. Would highly recommend and happily use Rachel again.

About: Animals bring me peace and joy and I just can't help but want to be around them to support them. I have raised dogs and other animals throughout my life. I have had cats, fish, hamsters, and even hermit crabs. Animals are always full of life and hope. I have two dogs now. A mother and daughter. It really shows me how deep animals can feel. I love them. Pet sitting is my priority. I spend 24/7 at home unless I am at the park or running errands. I can devote ample time to pet care. I have a fenced yard and two small dogs. They go for walks, trips to the park, as well as off road fun. Like hiking, kayaking, and trail walks.

About: I’d make an excellent dog sitter because I bring energy, attentiveness, and a genuine love for animals into everything I do. Even without formal experience, I’m highly responsible and quick to learn, which means I’ll carefully follow any instructions to keep each animal happy, healthy, and on their routine. I’m naturally patient and observant, so I can pick up on personality and needs with confidence! Whether that means playful energy, calm companionship, or extra care and reassurance. Most importantly, I truly enjoy spending time with animals, and I would treat every pet like my own, making sure they feel safe, loved, and excited while their owner is away! I am currently working part time and going to school part time. I am free most days and want to still remain productive in any way I can. I ensure cleanliness and safety when it comes to being in someone’s home. I love to clean and tidy up whenever I can! As an introvert, I love quietness so noise isn’t something I emit a bunch of.

About: I have hands on experience working at a doggy daycare, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. In addition to dogs, I have experience handling and caring for cats and small animals, including rodents. Pet care is an important and fulfilling part of my weekly routine. I work a job, so I’m fully available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. If there is a change, I will notify you. On the other days, I can provide care between the hours of 7- 10 PM. I make sure to plan my schedule carefully, so both of our schedules align and so I can give pets the time, attention, and consistency they need. When caring for pets in their own home, I make it a priority to keep them comfortable by following their usual routine... feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and more. I give them as much love and affection as I would my own, always aiming to keep their tails wagging, etc. I treat every home with respect and make sure it stays secure and clean. I also send regular updates and photos to the owners so they can feel at ease, knowing their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for.

I’m available Friday evenings after 6 PM and all day Saturday and Sunday. During those times, I can give your pets my full attention, including walks, feeding, playtime, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I follow any specific instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, walks, and routines. About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was 10 years old. Starting with walking my neighbors dog. Once I was able to drive I would do overnights with the families dog, that I babysat for. Small dogs, big dogs and even cats. Your little fur baby will be in great hands! I’m currently working full time. I can walk/ drop in Monday -Friday mornings at 7am and I’m available after work at 5:30pm for evening for walks/drop ins. The weekends are more flexible with time for walks and drop ins. I will be needing to pet sit at the location since I cannot have pets in my current house. I have only done pet sitting at the clients houses for the last 16 years. It makes for a better stay, the animals are not overwhelmed and happy to be in their own home.

About: I have grown up with pets all my life, and they truly are my biggest soft spot. I currently have four pets of my own (three cats and one dog). They are the absolute joy of my life and actually pet sitting over the years has what inspired me to get them . I truly believe that pets are like children and should be taken care of accordingly so feel free to reach out to me about any questions prior to booking if needed. I’d be happy to answer anything I’m available through weekdays as well! :) I work Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with two days a week in the office. However, I’m pretty flexible on timing as long as I have advanced notice. I do my best to accommodate pet care needs around my schedule, ensuring your pets get the attention they need while you’re away I treat every pet like my own—cleaning up after them, keeping the home tidy, and making sure they feel seen, loved, and engaged during visits.

About: I’ve lived with both cats and dogs throughout my entire life, as well as helping out friends and family with pet-sitting and other things such as dog-walking since I was an early teenager. I’ve had experience giving pets medicine and have no issue at all cleaning up after them. I’m currently working part-time, 5 days a week, with most of my day being open besides the late afternoon. My shifts change pretty often but I’d love to work out a timeframe that would work with you! I’m more than comfortable house-sitting, and as long as your pet has no issues with other pets (Currently living with two golden retrievers) they’re more than welcome here. I always am available for just dog-walking and dropping in whenever needed!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 569 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Gold Hill. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Gold Hill. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
