“So grateful to have found Wanessa! Both of our dogs are so different in size, age, personality, and needs, so it has always been a concern to find a Rover who can successfully care for both. Wanessa and her loving family did an amazing job! Both dogs were happy and in great spirits when we picked them up. Wanessa was very easy to communicate with and super flexible. She also had a few other dogs during our dogs' stay, which was great for my hyper-social dog who loves to play. We will definitely book again!”

“Denise clearly is passionate about caring for dogs! She was easy to communicate with and made sure our pups were well cared for with daily walks, trips to the beach, and plenty of other canine companions! We felt assured that the girls were in good hands for their extended stay.”

“We feel lucky to have had Jesse dog sit for us. He is very kind and caring. He honored our care instructions and we are grateful for that. Widget was very happy after his stay with Jesse.”

“Christina has watched out dog several times in quick succession over the summer. She has been responsive, available, and flexible every time! Luca seems to love it there (and he's a bit hard to please) and is happy to return every time.”

“Shannon was amazing with our two high energy pups! Shannon sent photos and videos, was very communicative and loved our pups like her very own! We will absolutely book with her again.”

“Tamara has been a great companion to Sunny. She communicated well and always updated us with photphotos. I felt at peace leaving Sunny with Tamara. I highly recommend Tamara to take care of your pet. She’s awesome!”

About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with one since I was six, and that bond taught me how much care and attention our furry friends really need. I also spent four months volunteering at a shelter as part of a school project, where I learned even more about caring for dogs. That experience only deepened my passion for making sure every pup gets the love and walks they deserve. I’m currently a student on summer break, so I have plenty of free time to dedicate to pet care. Aside from the occasional golf tournament usually twice a month that’s around 6 days total. I’ll be spending most of my time in Monterey. If you’re heading out of town for a few days, I’d love to help take care of your dog. I’m reliable, flexible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals! When caring for pets, safety and trust are always my top priorities. I make sure to follow any specific routines or instructions provided by the owner whether it’s feeding, medications, or walking preferences. In your home, I respect your space and keep things clean and calm to make sure your dog feels comfortable and secure. I always check for anything that could be unsafe, like open gates or small items they could chew on. I treat every pet like they’re my own giving them lots of attention, a safe environment, and a routine they can rely on.

“Elena was great with my pup and very detail oriented in noting his general needs and routine. Not to mention she was flexible, which I really appreciated! Would definitely recommend to anyone else in need of a pet sitter :)”

“Tanya took wonderful care of our little mini goldendoodle for several nights. She sent tons of photos and it was clear my girl was well-loved and had lots of opportunities to play outside, play with toys, sleep in various sunny spots, and get some snuggles. Her house has a great location with a yard where Willow could get out her zoomies. Tanya’s dog welcomed our Willow and we received cute pictures of them hanging out together.”

“Thank you Angie and family for watching Mochi and the outstanding care you provided while we were in holiday vacation. Angie is great in sending photos and giving updates while we were gone. It was a comfort knowing Mochi was well cared for. We used a pet sitter for the first time and would highly recommend her services.”

“Melissa and her family were great. Lolita was in good hands. She was very communicative. Provided updates and videos. I would definitely recommend and go back to Melissa. Thank you for taking such good care my of fur baby.”

“Asta was amazing with my dog! I was looking for someone who could care for Sally while I visited home for the holidays, and she was available and happy to help. They went out for walks together, hung out inside, and socialized with Asta's extremely chill dog. She sent photos and videos to update me on what they were up to each day, and I could always reach her while I was on my trip. I'll definitely have Sally stay over again!”

About: I have a deep love and commitment to caring for pets of all ages — from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. My experience extends beyond simple companionship I provide the extra level of care that pets need to feel comfortable, safe, and loved. Through TrustedHousesitters, I cared for two elderly poodles who needed very attentive, daily support. This included: Administering medication on schedule Changing diapers and ensuring proper hygiene Providing gentle walks and exercise suited to their mobility level Giving them lots of patience, affection, and reassurance More recently, I have been caring for my own 15-year-old dog, who also requires diapers, arthritis-friendly walks, and daily medication. This personal experience has taught me how important it is to notice the small details in a pet’s behavior and to adapt care routines to their changing needs. At the same time, I also love looking after younger, energetic dogs. I enjoy giving them plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise. With my large yard, they have space to run freely and burn off energy in a safe environment. What Sets Me Apart Specialized Senior Pet Care: Comfortable and experienced with diapers, medications, and gentle senior routines. Love for Energetic Dogs: Young, active pups get the playtime, attention, and exercise they crave. Medication & Hygiene Management: Skilled at handling the practical needs of pets with health concerns. Big Yard for Play: A safe and spacious place for dogs to run, play, and feel at home. Personal Experience: As the owner of a senior dog, I understand the emotional and practical sides of pet care. Pet care is naturally part of my everyday life. I recently took care of my own senior dog, who recently died with 15 years old, which means I’m very used to structured routines such as medication schedules, diaper changes, gentle walks, and lots of affection. This has made me highly organized and attentive to the needs of pets throughout the day. Because I work from home, I’m able to dedicate plenty of attention to the pets I look after. I take time for: Morning walks or playtime to start the day with energy Midday check-ins for feeding, potty breaks, or medication Afternoon play or exercise in my large yard for younger dogs who need to run and burn energy Evening care with feeding, medication, short walks, or calm cuddle time — especially for senior pets who need a softer pace On weekends, I usually spend extra time outdoors, and I love to bring pets into this routine — whether that’s gentle strolls for older dogs or active play for younger ones. In short, pet care isn’t something I “fit in” — it’s already part of my daily rhythm. In My Home: Pets staying with me enjoy a safe, welcoming, and pet-friendly environment. My large yard gives dogs plenty of space to run and play freely, while always staying secure by my watch. Inside, pets are treated like family. They’re allowed to relax comfortably, have cozy resting spots, and receive lots of attention throughout the day. I keep a close eye on them to make sure they are always safe, whether they are playing outdoors or resting indoors. Senior pets have extra care, with easy access to water, and a calm space to rest without stress.

“Chris is great with my dog. I have complete trust in her knowing that she not only likes dogs, but she's a veterinary technician who knows a lot about dog behavior and health. In fact, she trained Darla to paw at bells when she needs to go outside (it worked!). Most importantly, she makes Darla's time w/her a positive one by taking her on walks to the beach and the frog pond. I always feel like she's getting a little "dog-cation" while I'm away.”

“Athena was great with my dog, Donner! She was able to watch him with only a few days notice. Took him on walks and updated us with pictures. It was so nice for Donner to get all the attention being the only dog there. I will definitely be booking Donner for another stay in the future. Thank you so much Athena and Will for giving Donner the best care while we were on vacation!”

“Celine is excellent! Duke Johnson is a big boy, and some people would be hesitant to take care of him. Not Celine. She was patient with him (Duke can be a little needy). She took him on plenty of walks, getting him the fresh air and exercise he needed. She also sent pictures, communicating enough that I felt updated on how Duke was doing, but not so much that I felt annoyed. Duke was obviously very happy spending time with her, and I would definitely book her again without hesitation. I would absolutely recommend booking Celine if you need someone to look after your pet! 🐾”

“Kelly and her wonderful boys provided a great home away from home for our fur baby! We received many updates and pictures, as Kelly is a great communicator & caretaker! Louie went into her arms upon arrival which was a great sign to me. We would use Kelly again without hesitation. It also warmed my heart that she indicated a willingness to welcome Louie again too!”

“Nina was an amazing sitter for our dog. To begin, the big, grassy backyard was a great selling point for me since our dog loves to be outside laying in the sun. She enjoyed hanging out with Nina's dog and we received at least one picture every day that we were gone. The kids really missed their dog so this was a really nice touch. Nina was even able to give our dog her medication (an eye drop) which is sometimes a challenge for us. We were so happy to find Nina and would definitely call on her again when the need arises. Thank you, Nina!”

Jesse was amazing with Noire! 🐾 He was communicative, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. Noire was happy, well cared for, and I could tell she was loved on the whole time. I’d definitely recommend Jesse to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy sitter

We loved boarding our Golden with Wanessa. Our puppy had not been fully socialized with other dogs, and we were concerned for her well being. Wanessa put us at ease immediately and kept Missa with her all the time. As it happens, our pup got along great with the other dogs there, because Wanessa introduced the dogs to each other very carefully. And we couldn't be more pleased. Wanessa's great and we'll be sure to board Missa with her again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Glennis took such wonderful care of our Frenchie, Fiona, over the holiday weekend! From the start, her communication was thoughtful and thorough—she asked all the right questions and kept us updated with adorable photos and messages throughout Fiona’s stay. It gave us such peace of mind knowing Fiona was in a cozy, safe, and loving environment. Glennis made sure she was comfortable, even checking in about her food, treats, and habits. Fiona clearly enjoyed hanging out with Glennis and her dogs, and it meant a lot to see her so relaxed and happy. Pick-up and drop-off went smoothly, and Glennis was kind and accommodating even when we arrived a little early. We would absolutely book with her again without hesitation. Highly recommend Glennis if you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like family! — George B.

So happy that loki got to spend the weekend with Kalei! My Loki can be a very anxious guy, and there are certain conditions for a sitter to be a good fit with him. It was a great fit! She provided updates with photos, and I could see that he was happy and safe. He went on walks and even on a car ride (she asked before doing so and I was OK with it). Would definitely book again if she's available whenever we are back in the area!

In short: the perfect Rover for boarding, especially first timers!! I’d give 10 or 100 stars if I could!! Sara was an incredible Rover and I will be using her again (and again)! It was my first time boarding my rescue Golden Retriever and I was nervous, as Meadow has slight quirks as most rescues do. Sara calmed all my nerves as she actively sent me photos showing Meadow was eating, hiking, playing in the Carmel river, and sleeping soundly!! Meadow’s boarding at Sara’s was basically a doggy summer camp dream in Carmel Valley! Sara loved my dog as if it were her own, and that’s a testament to how incredible of a boarder she is - she’s attentive to the dogs needs and will go above and beyond to make sure your dog feels right at home. Plus the activities, I mean Meadow had the time of her life and definitely got a ton of exercise while I was gone. Even further, Meadow was tuckered out when I picked her up which was very helpful after I had full day of traveling back from the East Coast. I will be recommending Sara to anyone that asks for a rec for a boarder in Monterey, especially dogs that need activity or exercise, but even those that just want to hangout in the sun and chill with good humans. Also, Sara was extremely flexible with pick up and drop off, as I had flight changes and couldn’t abide by my initially requested time frames. I cannot thank her enough for taking the best care of my dog!

I recently left my dog, Stella, with this Tugce while I attended my wedding reception, and I am content with the experience. She kept me updated on Stella's well-being and even giving her some treats. Although I was initially concerned because Stella isn't the friendliest with other dogs, everything turned out perfectly. The sitter managed the situation well, and Stella seemed to have a great time. I highly recommend this sitter for their attentive and caring approach.
