“Sarah was amazing. I've had bad experiences in the past and was nervous about leaving Mittens in the car of others. Sarah was so wonderful from the start. Sent lots of pictures, cleaned the litterbox, and took good care of MIttens. I will always request her when we go out of town.”

“Callie kindly helped us out on short notice, to come keep Prissy company and let her out to use the bathroom, while I was away on a day trip. Prissy seemed comfortable around her and I came home to a happy dog!”

“Sharmily did a great job taking car of our cats while we were on vacation. She was great with both of them and sent us pictures from each visit which we really appreciated. We’ll definitely ask her again when we need cat sitting!”

“We had to go overseas for 2 weeks and we boarded our cat with Linda. She was very accommodating and had a spare room for our cat so that he would feel safe. Linda's communication was beyond expectations. She kept us up-to-date with how our cat is doing and she also sent pictures and videos. If you need a sitter or boarding, I would definitely recommend Linda and we would definitely board our cat with her again in the future.”

“This was our 1st experience using Rover and in a brand new city. After meeting Megan & Kirby, we knew we made the perfect choice. They were absolutely great. Even though our electronic looks and camera notified us when they came and went, they still sent us daily updates & photos. All of that was great, but my cats response to them made it such a great experience. She can be a very fussy senior (loves to growl & hiss at sitters). It was the opposite with Megan & Kirby. Obviously she knew they were “pet people”. Anytime I have to go out of town, I’ll be using them! I can’t recommend them enough!”

“Gina was absolutely great with my cats. We came back to happy and well taken care cats. I received pictures of them everyday and she also spent some time to play with them. She was so nice to even make sure my mail was taken inside the house which I greatly appreciated. She even help feed our outdoor cat who kind of took permanent shelter in our backyard. I would definitely recommend Gina to care for your pets while you are away.”

“Ira was great. Always communicated and sent sweet photos. I would hire her again. My kitties seemed to warm up to her. She even gave them a little NYE kitty toy. Very sweet. Thank you Ira!”

“Tiffany was absolutely PERFECT - she communicated properly, very prompt with time and treated Benson like her own! She gave me a sense of ease while I was abroad . I will definitely use her again whenever I have another trip! Thank you Tiffany”

“Rebecca took great care of my cat, Toby! They bonded quickly, she made sure he was well taken care of, and gave him lots of love. Came home to a very happy kitty!”

“I (and my cat) enjoyed working with Tandy. Tandy is very communicative, attentive, and clearly expressed a joy, care, and sensitivity working with animals. Though Rover, Tandy minded my cat and fish every other day over the course of two weeks. Tandy’s Reports were detailed and this is something I further appreciated: she wasn’t afraid to ask questions.”

“Kordell was my first experience with Rover and he turned out to be the purrfect fit to care for my cat, Henry. He did an excellent job managing the multiple instructions needed for Henry. Kordell sent me pictures of Henry during every visit which gave me an extra sense of relief. I came home to a well maintained liter box and a very happy cat! Kordell was a very polite and kind care-taker, he comes highly recommended by Henry and I. We will continue to book with Kordell in the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of various dog breeds and cat breeds. I’ve helped elderly animals and special needs animals as well. All animals are welcomed, if you have an aggressive animal, I am able to work with them as well depending on the level of behaviors they exhibit! I am currently building an app and finishing up my Masters degree. I am looking for something to earn income while I finish strong on these projects. I have 3 rooms, I have doggy parks, normal parks, and various pet stores near me and vets for emergencies. I have an experienced pet owner besides myself available as well. I clean every two days in general and I clean my cats litter 1-2 times a day depending as well.

“Dahlya did a great job of making my cat comfortable during a 3 night house sit. I came back to a clean apartment and happy cat. So far the best my cat has done with any sitter. She’s typically very shy. Would highly recommend, and I already booked for the next trip!”

About: I have had pets all my life and love spending time with them. Whether your pet is one who needs lots of attention and play time or is a couch potato and cuddler, I'm the sitter for you! If your fur baby is highly active, I can take them for long trail walks or visits to a park to play fetch and if that doesn't sound like your pet, we can do short walks just to get the blood flowing and answer nature's call. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and those with arthritis and mobility issues. I have had great success in helping these dogs improve their comfort through daily, short, walks that we would gradually increased as they regained their strength and energy from this physical activity. I'm currently between jobs so I have plenty of time to care for your little friends. I'm available any day of the week, so reach out ahead of time and let's get you scheduled! :) My apartment complex is fully gated and if your dog wants to run off-leash we have a very large, gated dog park as well! The dog park is so large that it can be sectioned off into two separate parks to accommodate pets that are anxious around, or don't get along well with, other dogs!

Ciara G.
“Ciara have been a pet lover since birth. She was raised with her big brother (brindle Pet Bull Razor) for 8-9 years until he passed away. She has always wanted me to get another dog but I couldn't because of pain. So now she has a cat at which I'm allergic to (go figure). So Ciara is a passionate and responsible pet lover and have an abundance of love to share with every cat and dog she pass in her travels.”

Over 56 pet parents in Capitol Heights have booked cat sitting
Capitol Heights cat parents share their Rover experiences
I’ve booked Jessica before and Jessica has always been reliable. This time, Jessica cared for my cat while I was on a multi-month trip to Europe. She consistently checked in via the Rover app and sent about three photos per visit (sometimes up to five). One photo was always of the food bowl, others were of my cat if my cat was out from hiding — and sometimes just of he glowing eyes hiding under the bed! I don’t blame Jessica for that; my cat is always like that with new sitters, or right after I leave. Jessica also watered my plants and brought in packages as requested. Due to a new job promotion and family responsibilities, Jessica had to reduce visits, so some days I had hoped for two but my cat only had one. While I wasn’t thrilled about the long gaps, I understand the circumstances. Jessica has since let me know catsitting is no longer possible, so I’m glad that she stuck with it for as long as she did, and that she communicated clearly when she needed to make a change. Jessica returned my key promptly, and when visits happened, they were dependable. I appreciated the care and updates during my trip — including the now-iconic food-bowl photos — and wish Jessica the very best in the future!

Where do I begin? I was strapped for time in finding Ash some accommodations. Taiwo not only responded quickly but went the extra mile throughout the whole process. It’s obvious he cares about the pets he takes care of. Taiwo was very communicative, he followed instructions to a T, and never made me feel like my cat Ash was in bad hands. Thanks T
