“Wendy has a heart for dogs and provided wonderful TLC for our two on her recent visits. She kept me updated about her arrival and departure time and sent lots of pictures showing just how much fun our dogs had with her. We will certainly use her again whenever a need arises.”

“Jordan has been walking our White Shepherd for a few months now and we couldn't be happier! She is kind, professional and absolutely wonderful with our Buie. This has been our first experience with Rover and Jordan has been beyond helpful in walking us through the process and making us feel comfortable every step of the way. Thank you, Jordan!!!”

“Each week Tim walks the dogs, I have one much older dog that benefits from the outing, a very shy dog that needs the walk, and our crazy energetic dog that loves to get out.”

“Laura did an amazing job walking our 170-pound Great Dane, Sarge. We’re always a bit nervous about finding the right person to handle such a large dog, but she was the perfect fit. Sarge was genuinely excited every day when she arrived, and he came home happily worn out after each walk! Laura was also an excellent communicator. During some bad weather, she kept us updated on her arrival time and made sure we knew what to expect. It gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We’re so happy we found Laura. She’s reliable, caring, and wonderful with dogs. We highly recommend her!”

About: I've been working with animals for the past 5 Years! I started as a dog daycare attendant for a year where I learned how to read dog body language and behavior as well as how to handle emergency situations with dogs. I then became a full time pet sitter on my own and would watch all kinds of animals from household reptiles, small animals, cat, and of course dogs! After 1 year of this I switched to part time sitter to become a full time dog trainer! I trained for a year before becoming a manager at a pet hotel. I love my job to this day and still care for dogs and cats at my current job! I'm currently a stay at home mom for my babies so I am always home a ready to provide care! I usually (as weather permits of course) take a morning walk between 8-10am with my dog and my boarding friends, hang out around the house and backyard until our evening walk before bed around 8-10pm after the sun is down! I am constantly boarding dogs in my home so I do have extra crates if needed otherwise I only have 1 dog of my own who is a St. Bernard and is pretty lazy so he will be there to keep my boarding dogs company but also knows to nap if the other dogs need a break from playing. When I go to clients homes I always find a way to occupy my time with my clients and keep my attention on those animals!

“Isaac did a wonderful job walking my dogs, Anakin and Padme! He was very accommodating and made scheduling so easy. I appreciated how attentive and caring he was with both of them, and it gave me peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Isaac, and I’ll definitely be booking with him again in the future!”

“Russell is always on time and the moment my puppies met him they loved him! He’s accommodating to requests and always makes sure to let me know any changes. I’m happy to have him as the regular walker for my pups!”

About: This is my full time job. I've taken care of most dog breeds and cats since I was young. I also come from a family with a small farm with cows, donkeys, and goats as well. We also have 6 dogs on the ranch. Animals have always been a passion of mine. I am also currently taking classes on pet training to further my education and understanding of animals. I offer free training until graduation along with booking! I am very organized and like to stay on top of priorities. I build my schedule so that each pet gets dedicated one‑on‑one time, and I always arrive within the agreed‑upon window. My routine is structured enough to stay reliable, but flexible enough to adjust to your pet’s needs. I’m very organized and make sure every pet receives focused, reliable care. Your pet’s comfort is always my priority, and I can adjust visit styles as needed.
About: I’ve grown up around pets and absolutely love being around animals. I’m not new to professional pet sitting, I’ve helped care for friends’ and family’s dogs over the years. I’m patient, observant, and attentive—whether it’s walks, playtime, I’m here to make your pet feel secure and loved. Right now, my schedule is super flexible, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pet. I can do early mornings, evenings, or even pop-ins throughout the day—whatever works best for your routine. I do in-home care, so your pet stays comfortable in their own space. I’ll follow whatever instructions you leave and make sure your pet’s routine stays consistent. I always keep things clean, stay in touch, and make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and loved the whole time you’re away.
About: I have taken care of pets all my life. Usually when a friend or family member leaves town, I am always the first person they call. I have been an avid pet lover for as long as I can remember. Some might call me an animal whisperer. I have volunteered at the Sugar Land animal shelter where I walk, fed and cleaned the dogs or cats there. I am currently just taking some classes that can be completed on my own time and thus have an open availability. My schedule remain open throughout the week. I enjoy spending time with all the different pets I come in contact with. I always try to create any environment where it is enjoyable for the animal and a connection can be made with each encounter.
About: G’day! I’m originally from Sydney, Australia and have been living in the Canyon Lake area for almost 2 years. As a lifelong animal lover, especially when it comes to German Shepherds (you’ve probably noticed from my photos!), caring for dogs isn’t just a passion — it’s a way of life. Before returning to my career in healthcare, I spent 18 months as an Assistant Manager at a doggy daycare facility near Austin. This experience gave me valuable hands-on knowledge working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and strengthened my understanding of dog behaviour, care, and enrichment. I now work a hybrid full-time job in healthcare, so I’m available for pet sitting and walks around my work schedule and am required to be in the office two days a week. Having used similar pet-sitting services back in Australia, I understand how stressful it can be leaving your furry family member behind. I’ll always keep you updated with photos, messages, and open communication so you can feel confident knowing your pets are in caring hands. Whether it’s a walk, a cuddle, playtime, or simply some company, I treat every dog like they’re my own. I can’t wait to meet your pup and give them the love and attention they deserve! When I'm not working at the doggy daycare, I love spending my free time walking and exploring the Hill Country. It would be great to have a furry friend join me on these adventures! I miss my dog back home in Sydney and am looking for ways to fill my spare time. I have a friendly Husky and a quiet cat, and there's plenty of space for a crate and dog beds. I treat all animals as if they were my own and always show respect for a client's home. If I can leave the house cleaner than I found it, that’s a win for me!
“Heather was a life saver, coming through in a pinch for us. The dogs got back home tired and happy, which is just what she needed. She was professional with communication and managed two big dogs who can sometime seem a bit unmanageable.”

About: I believe what sets me apart is my experience working in a veterinary clinic, where I’ve gained hands-on knowledge of animal health and behavior. I’m comfortable administering medications, recognizing signs of illness, and staying calm in stressful situations. I’m also very reliable and make sure to follow each pet’s routine closely while keeping owners updated, so they always feel at ease. I’m currently working part-time, so I’ll have plenty of time to give your pups lots of attention, play with them, and make sure they’re well taken care of! I’ll be able to keep them company throughout the day and give them plenty of love and exercise. I will always make sure a pet is comfortable in my home. I may live in an apartment, but I will make sure your furry friend goes on as many walks as they want.

About: I am a nature lover! I enjoy taking my dogs, Rosemary & Kuzca, on exciting hikes and engaging adventures. We love visiting the river, the dog park, hitting nature trails around town, and quality play time at home. I also love cuddling up with my cat, Bee, when she will let me! I have always loved animals and wanted animal companions since I was a child. From dogs & cats to birds to snakes, the list of animals I’ve had under my care goes on. One thing that sets me apart is my desire to provide exquisite care for my furry/scaly/feathered friends. Every animal deserves to live a high quality life and it brings me so much joy to provide them with that. I continuously grow as a pet parent. I’m always researching new ways to improve my care techniques by staying up to date on things like nutrition, stimulation, and training. I work from home and decide my own schedule so I have a lot of flexibility in how I want to shape my day. This makes it so convenient for taking care of fur babies! We have a fenced yard that is perfect for a short zoomie sesh. Plus we have a gated dog park in our community that we frequent. I always try and incorporate as much outside time as possible.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
