About: AS OF NOW DROP-IN VISITS ARE ONLY FOR CAT CLIENTS. I have taken care of puppies who needed to be bottle fed to seniors who need help getting around. I worked and volunteered my time at multiple Animal Shelters since 2008. I also have experience working as a Veterinary Assistant. In 2017 I was Certified as a Basic Dog Trainer. I will be available all day and night at my home during your pets stay with me. A regular day looks like: 6 a.m. - morning potty break Between 6-10 a.m. - breakfast and *play time, nap or walk 10 a.m. - potty break Between 10-2 p.m. - *play time, nap or walk 2 p.m. - potty break Between 2-6 p.m. - *playtime, nap or walk 6 p.m. - potty break Between 6-10 p.m. - dinner and relax before bedtime 10 p.m. - potty break then bedtime *activity is decided on your dogs needs and weather conditions This is just a generic schedule, it can be tweaked for your dogs particular schedule and needs. If your dog has a lot of energy we can be more active. If your dog is in its senior years, disabled or not high energy we can just relax and watch movies while playing with toys or napping. What ever stage in life your pet is in I aim to meet those needs during it's stay with me. I have a fenced yard so we can have lots of play time safely outside. On hot days I have a dog sprinkler and dog pool so they can cool off. If your pet is outside so am I. My house has tile through out so I'm prepared for messes. If your dog is a senior and has a hard time walking on these types or floors let me know and I will roll out the rugs for them. I have a senior cat but she has her own room in case your dog and my cat don't get along, they can be separated. I also have a 6 year old spayed female dog who is energetic so if your dog likes to play she is ready. If you have a senior dog don't worry she has been around multiple senior dogs and knows when to leave them alone. I am home all day everyday and only take 1 Client at a time so I can dedicate all my attention to your pet(s). If you are comfortable I can also take your pet(s) with me on certain outings. Otherwise they would never be left alone for more the 4 hours. I live in a single family home that has a 6ft privacy fence. If your dog is inside I'm inside, if your dog is outside I'm also outside.
About: Aside from being a lifelong pet owner, I have many years of pet care experience in boarding, daycare, training and veterinary care environments. I would love to apply that experience to caring for your pet(s). I'm retired and caring for pets is absolutely my favorite way to spend all this available time. When I'm not caring for someone's pets directly, I volunteer at shelters and rescues. I am available to care for your pet(s) full time. I have a large, fenced yard with plenty of shade, and pet beds, blankets, and even cat trees in the house. I don't currently have any pets of my own in my home, and I am able to care for your pet in my home if desired. I am a retired police officer and can be trusted to give your pet(s) the very best care in your home, if desired. I have several years of experience administering medication to pets as well.

“Pat dog sat for us for daycare. She was really great and reassuring. She handled our crazy and energetic dog with confidence and understanding! Our other dog, the complete opposite, shy very skiddish to new people, she was easy going and let him take his time and let him go to her, not pressuring our dog to unwanted handling. We will definitely be using Pat in the future!”

“Opal got played with alot and I know this for sure because her collar tracks her steps and she got over 100% of her steps in . Marie checked in and was very friendly. If I didn't live so far away I would book her all the time”

“Rosa feels very comfortable at Carols and had a blast for her 1st day care. She slept like a baby last night. I loved that we were able to meet Carol before Rosa’s first stay, it felt really comfortable. Carol is flexible and you can tell she loves what she does!!”

“Gina did an initial meet and greet to make sure Prince would be comfortable in her home. Gina did a wonderful job taking care of my maltipoo dog Prince. She fed him, made sure he had plenty of water and played with him. She also gave me an update during his visit. She is conveniently located to where I needed to be for an event. Thank you, Gina.”

“This was our first time using Rover and we were really nervous about using it at first. But Lauren really exceeded our expectations! She was super sweet and her family was super welcoming to our Nova. Definitely coming back to her next time we are in town!”

About: I have always had some sort of animal growing up. I currently have 5 dogs and 2 cats and had to stop myself from getting more because I love them so much 😊❤️ I will take care of your baby like they were my own. I am married and sometimes my husband does like to come along with me to help me take care of your furry children. I currently work full time at home and get off of work at 4:30 but I have freedom to take my dogs out during breaks or if they need to go outside. My dogs are SPOILED 💖 they have 2 bins of toys and a bin of treats which they would love to share. My yard is fenced with plenty of space to roam and my dogs do get along with other dogs. If the dogs for any reason don’t get along, I can put my dogs away in a separate area.
“Grace and her husband were excellent! This is the first time my little 16 1/2 year old Dash has ever stayed in a home without either of his 2 mommas with him, and it looks like he felt at home with them. Grace was really good about keeping me updated and sending pictures throughout the day. I was never worried about him being safe and happy at all. Thanks to you, Grace, we were able to get through a very difficult day (my nephew's funeral service) without the added stress of having to worry about my Dash. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
“Brianna was so sweet to my little buddy, and kept me updated regularly throughout his stay. I was so thankful for her taking him in. I know he had a great time. I Highly recommend her, and I will use her again when the opportunity arises”

“Brian and his wife were wonderful. My pup is very attached to me but she had a good time with them for doggy daycare. Even though it was just for the day they sent me picture updates and were super responsive to any questions or comments. She also came home cleaner then when she got there. ? I would highly recommend and will use them again if I’m in town. Thanks so much!”

“This was my first time using Rover.com. I was in the area from out of state for a family wedding. I connected with Autumn based on her excellent reviews from other pet parents. I knew after our communications with each other that I had nothing to worry about with our dog “Cher”. She kept us informed and was very accommodating!”

“I can't put into words how special Stacy and Alvin are - we were traveling with our puppy and needed to arrange for a playdate while we were doing an all day activity. Stacy was so warm and gracious when initially requesting, that I immediately felt comfortable with her. Upon meeting her in person, that same warmth came through! Our baby had a blast with she and Alvin - she also magically matured after spending time with them - an added and unexpected bonus! I would recommend Stacy 100% - she really loves the pups and makes sure they are well taken care of - couldn't ask for more than that when trusting someone with your babies! Thanks Stacy and Alvin!”

Rachel and Scott were amazing! They looked after Sunny, my 8 month old golden retriever puppy and kept me updated on how she was doing. They were great at communicating with me and put my mind at ease. I will definitely use them again for future doggy daycare bookings and boarding.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Canyon Lake commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
