About: Time and love! Recently retired with nothing but time and excitement to care for others’ beloved pets, especially because I don’t currently have any of my own. I have a large, fenced in backyard in the quiet hill country. There is a lovely trail for taking walks, and I love to take the pups for rides in the car! I’m experienced in administering and staying on top of medications and treatments. My daughter has two dogs that she sometimes brings for visits. So, if your dog is social, there is an opportunity for playtime with fellow furry friends. Caring for your pets would be my one and only priority. I spend the majority of time at home, and exercise is very important to me so I hope your dog loves to walk! Safety and affection are priority. Keeping a close eye on your pet and always making sure all needs are met is a guarantee when you put them in my care!

Before returning to my career in healthcare, I spent 18 months as an Assistant Manager at a doggy daycare facility near Austin. I’ve grown up with dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, but it became my responsibility to clean the litter box and scoop poop from the yard in 3rd grade. Aside from dogs and cats, I’ve been around all different animals, including riding horses and taking care of them at one point. I currently have a 10 month golden retriever and 2 cats that are 5 yo. I recently just graduated from Texas State with a Biology degree and am working to save up for graduate school. Currently, I’m able to complete the majority of my work from home, which allows for me to take on pets that may require a bit more attention. I have a large space to play in with lots of toys and my apartment backs up to the purgatory creek trails. Also, my sister has a 5 acre property that’s fenced in, which I regularly take my pup to run around off leash. I’m familiar with dog friendly places in the area and an advocate for training sessions in public to socialize them. I have a large dog kennel, small kennel, cat carrier, litter box, and perhaps anything else your pet might need.
