About: I’ve assisted with dog sitting alongside my mom and grandma, helping with playtime, and companionship. I’m patient, attentive, and following routines to ensure dogs feel safe and cared for. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I have flexible availability as I am unemployed and already care for my own two cats and two bearded dragons daily. I provide attentive care in peoples homes, following routines closely. As an owner of two cats and two bearded dragons, I’m experienced with safety, cleanliness, and gentle handling.

About: I've always had a family dog since I was born. I'm responsible and have house-sat many times over the years for friends and friends of friends. I'm currently in college, so I have evenings and early mornings available. As well as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I can stay overnight or just come by a few times a day. I focus heavily on the health and happiness of my own pets, this includes regular vet visits, choosing healthy food options, and providing enrichment (either by providing things for them to do without me, or playing with them throughout the day).

About: I have over 30 years of experience with dogs and cats that were just born babies to fully grown and elderly. Growing up, my family would take in pets whos owners had past away. This included many different breeds, but also most of them were elderly that needed some extra love and care. I also had my own range of pets from fish to frogs to mice to geckos growing up and of course cats and dogs. I have 6 years as a desert tortoise biologist and love all kinds of pets. I am a stay at home mom of a 16 month old so I am available to love and care for pets at any time. I am able to board pets starting from 3pm and can start daycare at 7am. We have a yard with a fenced off runner and a separate grassy area for your pups to play in and do their business. We do have two cats, but we have a gate that can separate the upstairs from the downstairs. We have plenty of room for kennels or crates if your fur baby needs them.
About: I'm a retired Social Worker who loves "Man's Best Friends". Your buddy becomes my buddy for as long as needed. I have 25 yrs experience with dogs and would love the opportunity to love and care for your dog as my own. I have a 10 year old Yorkie named Rockee who is a sweetheart and who would love to play with more small buddies like him. We're a trustworth and responsible family of 3 in a safe, comfortable and loving environment. I offer flexible hours, days or full time weekly boarding. Now is a better time than ever, to plan your vacations and weekend getaways. Take your vacations worry-free, your pet is safe with me. Being retired allows me to offer flexible hours and days along with weekly boarding. Specify your times and days and I will respond in a timely manner. All you do is choose your dates on my calendar and request a meet and greet. My Response Rate is 100% and my Response Time is within 5 minutes of receiving your request. My yard is fenced in and safe. I have a pool and safety vests for small dogs. I will walk, play, feed, care, and supervise accordingly. This home is definitely a safe and loving summer camp retreat for your buddies.
About: So i’ve dealt with dogs since I was kid. I pop in to take care of my parents dogs from time to time which is a tiny mutt and a husky. Currently I own a inu, but I do have experience with dealing with dogs of all sizes. I genuinely have a love for them. I am extremely patient and caring as well as careful. So i’m usually available most of the week to take care of dogs. I try to walk my own dog daily, and i make sure there is food and water. Generally daily walks and just basic care works for my dog, but I have taken care of other’s people’s dogs that did require more care or more attention. I’m generally a fast learner and very attentive to my dog’s needs and others.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every breed since my teenage years. Neighbors, friends, my friends family and my own family have relied on me to walk, feed, play with, babysit and bathe their fur babies in full confidence. I enjoy every breed and each of their special traits that make them, them. I am a dog lover at heart. I am a full time event planner/coordinator and I have time before work and after work into the evening to be able to walk and/or drop in on family’s pets or individuals needing extra help with their pets while their at work or on vacation or just because. I take extra care and precautions when walking/checking in on the fur babies. I have 3 runners myself, so I ensure they are leashed/harnessed and ready to go before opening the door. I am very cautious and aware of what is going on around me and keep a safe distance from anyone or anything that can disrupt a good walk. I make sure pets in a clients home are comfortable, fed, played with and are loved while attending house drop ins.

Abby is a fantastic dog sitter! She follows directions extremely well and leaves nothing undone. Our lab Grace felt comfortable with her from day one. It is obvious that Abby loves dogs and genuinely likes to care for them. I highly recommend her as a dog sitter without any reservations.

Priscilla was great at looking after our 3 corgis. She was attentive, followed our instructions, and respected our home while we were away. Our dogs loved her and her interactions with them were always so kind and gentle. Would highly recommend her for any dog sitting needs!

We went on a week long trip to see family and needed someone to look after our 2 cats. It was such a relief to find Lynette! She took such wonderful care of our cats (and fish!) sending me daily updates and photos. Our cats are very shy around strangers and I let Lynette know she likely would not see them when she came over….I was surprised to see they warmed right up to her! Thank you Lynette for giving us the peace of mind that our babies were well taken care of.

Amaya exceeded our expectations in every way. She followed all instructions to the letter, kept us informed, and showed genuine care and love for our dogs. It was clear they were comfortable and well cared for the entire time. We will definitely be booking with her again and would recommend her without hesitation.

Cassy was amazing! We are new dog parents and we found out that our dog is sneaky and got out a gate leaving him to roam around the house. Cassy was quick to step in to go check on him earlier than scheduled and put him back in his designated area. She has great communication and we felt comfortable leaving our new baby in her care. Thank you, Cassy!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
