“Aletha did a great job of taking care of my senior kitty. She was able to give Cee Cee her pill, and took great care of her while I was gone. I came home to a healthy and happy kitty. I would use Aletha again in the future.”

About: Animals have always been a part of my life. From fostering all the way to volunteering at animal rehabilitation clinics, I've enjoyed every part of the journey. Along the way, I realized that my true passion is providing a home to senior dogs, especially those that are considered to need hospice care. My family and I are all animal lovers. Our home is quite lively but we have plenty of room to also provide a quiet and calm environment for your dog should that be something they are needing or simply more accustomed to. Pet care is part of daily life in our home. We have one small dog and two cats, all of which of course need care every day. We provide a loving home for pets which includes lots of cuddling, playing, feeding and access to a large fenced-in backyard. We like to learn more about new dogs and their home environment before they enter our home so that we can ensure their safety as well as the safety of our own pets and children who will be present at the time of pet sitting and/or boarding.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and other pets ever since I was 12. I’ve also had experience with puppies and elderly dogs. Family and friends always rely on me to take care of their dogs while on vacation and I’d say I do a pretty good job! I am currently home for college and would love to pet sit for anyone in need of a sitter. Anytime works for me. I’d be happy to help! I usually like to give dogs a walk if they’re up for it. I give them food and make sure they’re well fed. I also give them baths on occasion!

“I was really nervous having someone I didn't know take care of my dog while I was away because he can be temperamental. He took to Briana at our first meeting and while I was gone I got constant pictures of their walks and check-ins. I'll definitely use her again, and recommend her for any pets big or small. Thanks again Brianna! :)”

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child. My mother and father were both professional dog trainers so I’ve gained much knowledge on how to properly care for dogs specifically. My love for animals has grown into my adulthood even more than ever. I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. My experience in Pet Care is from having my own pets and caring for family, friends and volunteering over the years. I’ve owned and raised many different types of breeds such as Rottweilers, golden retrievers, king cavaliers, Chinese Shar-pei, poodles, and the list goes on. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call or text me. I’d be more than happy to care for your animals when needed.
“Debbie was just amazing! She sent me so many cute pictures of my babies. She got along with them great. She went above and beyond and even swept up after my messy babies! She was also very quick to reply and very attentive. :) Highly recommend! Thanks so much Debbie! ?”

“They are amazing, they played and cuddled our young golden 70lb and old lady 5lb dog. They quickly became great friends with our golden who is very leery of new people and especially of men. I will definitely be using them again.”

About: Hello, I've had my own dog since I was 11 years old. I currently live with my mom who has a golden doodle which is her service dog trained as my mom's companion. I helped train him, and went to his training school too. I love all animals, but alot of my friends call me the dog whisperer. I'm also good with cats. I respect people decisions and health choices for their animals. I am happy to follow any guidelines they provide. If you want your dog to run I will run, I can push your dog in a stroller(owner provided), and I can even take an easy. I have experience with all size dogs. I used to donate my Saturdays to an animal rescue so I have experience with all types of dogs as well. I also have experience caring for pets while the owner is on vacation. Thank you! Currently I'm able to work any time. I like to wake up early, and I also prefer to be inside by the time the sunsets. I have a dog and cat at home. If your pet is small, and quiet I could accommodate at my home home. I have a fully fenced yard, but since my mom is also home I'm able to care for your animal at your house too.

“Heather was great with my two dogs. She was very understanding of my senior dog who was not familiar with her. She worked with him and I really appreciate that. I would definitely use Heather again.”

About: I have over 30 years of experience with dogs and cats that were just born babies to fully grown and elderly. Growing up, my family would take in pets whos owners had past away. This included many different breeds, but also most of them were elderly that needed some extra love and care. I also had my own range of pets from fish to frogs to mice to geckos growing up and of course cats and dogs. I have 6 years as a desert tortoise biologist and love all kinds of pets. I am a stay at home mom of a 16 month old so I am available to love and care for pets at any time. I am able to board pets starting from 3pm and can start daycare at 7am. We have a yard with a fenced off runner and a separate grassy area for your pups to play in and do their business. We do have two cats, but we have a gate that can separate the upstairs from the downstairs. We have plenty of room for kennels or crates if your fur baby needs them.

Aletha was great while we were gone on our trip! She did exactly as I asked and sent me tons of videos and photos of my kitty while we were gone so I knew she was doing well. She also gave detailed descriptions on her visit with my kitty & I’d definitely rebook her again in the future! Thanks so much Aletha!

Amaya exceeded our expectations in every way. She followed all instructions to the letter, kept us informed, and showed genuine care and love for our dogs. It was clear they were comfortable and well cared for the entire time. We will definitely be booking with her again and would recommend her without hesitation.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
