“Matty worked out great for our cats. He was very friendly and took care of the things I asked. I went on vacation with a great piece of mind. Would definitely recommend, and hope to use Matty again in the future.”

“Elizabeth was fantastic with our boys. We (boys included) knew as soon as we met her, she was a perfect fit. This was our first time using Rover but Elizabeth really put our mind at ease. We will definitely be using her again.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of various kinds since I was 10. Friends, family and neighbors have relied on me to walk, feed and play with their pets. Currently I work on a 10 month contract. Therefore I have summer off so I have plenty of time to provide pet care to those in need of such services. I am a very trustworthy person who has tremendous respect for other people’s property and belongings. I especially respect pets with their needs and desires.
About: Hello, I'm Kylie. My two dogs, Shanti and Nova, and I would be glad to care for your dog while you're away! I'm a healthcare professional with over 20 years of experience, and I work from home full-time. My mother is a retired nurse and shares the home with me. Your pup will never be left alone. At least one of us is always here to give steady attention and company throughout the day. We live in a farmhouse on nearly 3 acres in South Bristol/Canandaigua, a quiet, peaceful setting where dogs can relax and settle in comfortably. Meet my pup crew: • Nova is 10, a border collie/golden retriever mix, and still young at heart. She lives for a belly scratch from anyone she meets and is always ready to greet visitors with her ball. She also loves her frisbee and a good bone to chew. • Shanti is 7, a chihuahua mix. She can be shy and standoffish at first, but she warms up. She spends most of the day snoozing and snuggling into the coziest nook she can find. Your dog will go outside several times a day for walks, fresh air and exercise, and I'm happy to add more at your request. In between, there's plenty of affection, playtime and treats, because a happy dog is a relaxed one. I've had dogs and cats my whole life and am very experienced in giving medications and managing special diets. I follow your dog's routine closely and would be happy to keep you updated with photos and messages, if you’d like. Every new client stay starts with a meet-and-greet so everyone can get comfortable, and I introduce dogs gradually. Message me about your dog's personality, routine and needs, and we'll make a plan together. I look forward to hearing from you. Pet care is built into my day. I work from home and my mother is retired and lives here too, so our dogs, and any guests, are part of the household routine. We take several outdoor breaks each day, depending on the weather, with plenty of time for play, snuggles and rest in between. Your dog stays in my home, where they're treated as part of the household. I work from home and my mother is retired and lives here too, so someone is always around to keep an eye on the pups and give them company. Safety comes first. Every stay starts with a meet-and-greet, and I introduce the dogs gradually. I ask about your dog's health, behavior, routine and any special needs ahead of time. All dogs must be current on vaccinations, with proof provided before the stay. I follow your feeding and medication instructions closely and would be happy to keep you updated with photos and messages, if you’d like. Sleeping arrangements follow your dog's usual routine. My dogs sleep in our bedrooms at night, so yours is welcome to as well. I'm also comfortable with crated dogs if that's what they're used to. Outdoor time is supervised, and we take several breaks throughout the day, depending on the weather. We live on nearly 3 acres in a quiet, peaceful setting, which makes for a calm, low-stress stay.
“Aracely is doing a great job with our Goldendoodle, Luna! She’s on time, always walks her and refreshes her water among many other things. We appreciate her hard work and dedication!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs my entire life. My friends and family have been relying on me to walk and feed their dogs for years! Cuddles are also a must! May or may not talk to them like they are babies (which they 100% are) I currently work full-time at an elementary school, so this is only a weekend gig. That being said, I love going to watch and walk dogs of all kind!! Typically when I’m walking a dog, I make sure the dog goes at its own pace. It’s the dogs walk, not mine. That being said, I do what’s necessary to keep them from harm. I also will play with your dog whether it is just a walk-session or a full house stay.
About: I've taken care of dogs and cats (both pet-sitting and dog walking) since I was 8 years old (over 14 years of experience!) and still frequently care for the dogs and cats of friends and family. I grew up with a black Labrador and miss having her around (she passed away while I was in college). I currently have a labrador and pittie mix and she gets along very well with dogs of all sizes. I absolutely adore dogs and cats and would love to take care of yours! I have a variable schedule as a nurse practitioner but am home for the holidays so can board your pup with mine or drop by yours for walks or house sitting (so long as my pup can tag along too for longer stays!) My pup is a 4 year old lab mix who is very friendly with other dogs! I can do boarding at my place as long as your dog is good with other pups. I can definitely go on long walks or runs, as well as shorter ones to get your pup some exercise! I'm happy to do drop-in services as well.

As of November 2026, there are 894 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Canadice. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

- 94% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
