About: Hi, I’m Emmy! I grew up surrounded by cats and dogs and have been caring for animals my whole life. I currently have two cats of my own and have experience with dogs of all sizes — from tiny Yorkies to giant Malamute Huskies. I also worked at a veterinary hospital for 1.5 years as an assistant and receptionist, giving me hands-on experience with vet care, administering medications, and responding to emergencies. About: I have owned and cared for dogs as well as cats and many small animals (including rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs) since I was 7 years old. I currently have a lovable longhaired 4 year old cat named Raven. I also regularly dog sit my brother’s two huge and hilarious 100lb smooth Collies and have dog sat and walked for friends and neighbors all around Boston. I am well experienced with senior animals, having two senior dogs myself that have now passed over the rainbow bridge (Sky and Eddie❤️) and can administer medications as well as accommodate their physical needs with bathroom schedules or accidents, mobility limitations, dietary restrictions, medication needs, and sight/hearing difficulties. I am also well familiar with how challenging and scary it can be to find someone to walk or care for a reactive dog. I am willing to work with dogs with bite histories or reactive behaviors as long as pet parents give thorough information about their doggy's triggers or special needs. I am great with avoiding other dogs during walks, modifying my own behavior to fit what your dog needs, and taking necessary precautions to protect your pup and others! I am a teacher and currently available most days. I am able to pet sit in my home if you pet is comfortable with cats. I am a teacher and currently have open availability. I am free to give visits or walks early morning through late nights. I have a car and am able to drive to locations where I am needed. I am very by the book and will follow any directions given for how you would like your pet fed, walked, played with, and interacted with. Please make sure any feeding, medical, or behavioral instructions are clear!
