“Maddie took care of our dog (doodle, 45lb) and my sister’s dog (shih poo — 20lb) for a week while we were away. She stayed in our home, which provided consistency for our dog who can miss us when we go! Maddie was amazing!!!!!! Truly the best. She sent us daily updates, including photos and videos, and it was so obvious that our dog loved her and was having a great time in our absence. She also took care of our home and brought in the mail etc. She clearly adores dogs. Knowing our pup was in great hands allowed us to relax on our vacation. Highest recommendation!”

About: I've taken care of dogs, cat and a variety of farm animals. I grew up on a farm, and we always had cattle, horses, puppies, pigs, chickens and of course kittens. We always found a batch of kitten in the barn each spring. My siblings and I would nurture and care for them. I have a deep connection with animals. With this strong ability to keep calm and comfortable around them, I win the love of most furr babies. I have worked as an assistant groomer so I can bathe them if necessary. With the dangers of bears, I tend to walk the dogs on their leash, and generally take them to the dog park. However I love a good hike. I have walked dogs and pet sat professional for 3 years in Australia using Madpaws and have had nothing but success. I do not have my own pets due to my landlords, although I am considering a small turtle. Summer 2024 I will be studying online 3 days per week, and reading throughout the day. Making it a perfect job for me to take breaks and walk your furr babies. I am happy to walk your pets 3-4 times per day and include play time. I am very flexible to assist you with your pets needs. If you want some crate training, potty training or administration of medication, I have provided this care successfully in the past.

About: I grew up on a suburban farm, we always had at least 2 dogs around. I live in a very dog very friendly house, access to lakes, hiking trails and dog friendly parks. I’m lucky to have a very flexible schedule and just love having dogs around. Taking care of your dog and ensuring it’s is happy and safe are a top priority to me. I live with my boyfriend and we both have very flexible schedules, we love getting outside in nature and enjoying trail walks. Cuddles on the couch with down time are just as appealing. We always like to acclimate any pet we have by going for a nice walk around. We are very aware of any temperament and happy to take our time to make sure your dog is happy and comfortable.

About: I've been loving dogs and animals since a very young age, and started petsitting 2 years ago. Always loved to take the time to understand the needs and desire of every animal that im' taking care of and that's why i'm now a dogsledding guide, working with dogs pretty much every day in an idea of understanding them and offering them the best care and education possible with respect and love. Actually working as I Dogsledding guide in Whistler, I'm willing to spend even more time with animals while I'm here. About: There was always a dog in my family, and I am very grateful that I grew up around dogs. In my 20s I moved a lot, but I always ended up in a place where someone else had a dog I could hang out with. Now I finally have my own furry friend - energetic lab mix. I have been doing occasional dog walking for others, when opportunity presents, Currently I have a more flexible schedule, where I can take on more responsibilities with dog walking and dog sitting and help out others. As a dog owner, I know how important it is to have someone you trust on speed dial when you need it. I am currently working part time, so I have lots of flexibility to help out. My schedule is flexible, all is based on discussion to see what is possible. I live in a small apartment with my family and a dog. To dog sit in our home, it would be on case to case basis to make sure our pets get along well. We have lots of amazing trails to explore in our neighbourhood.

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life. I am passionate about their growth. I trained all my dogs myself and just love being around them. “Leah has cared for our female border collie Mika many times. Mika is a reactive dog and so she can be difficult to manage with other dogs and even some people. Leah has always taken care to have Mika in a healthy, safe environment when they walk together. She never puts Mika in a position to react but if circumstances arose Leah would be confident and capable of handling the situation. Leah is responsible, reliable and has a genuine love for dogs. About: I love dogs and have helped care for lots of dogs, high and low energy, reactive and easy-going. My own dog is great with other dogs and would love to hang out with yours! I work from home and would love to take walk or cuddle breaks with your pup. I work from home on weekdays and can take lots of dog-walk breaks, which I already do to accommodate my own dog. My partner runs his own business and is also home a lot of the time during the days. We both love to spend time outside and are always looking for an excuse to get out and about away from our computers! We have a condo in Pioneer Junction and take lots of walks to One Mile lake and on the surrounding trails. Our dog sleeps on a bed in the living room, but we're happy to have a dog sleep in our bedroom with us or to accommodate a crate if needed.
