About: I have taken care of animals my entire life, from birds and fish to cats and dogs. There has not been a second where I have been without taking care of pets! I currently have and take care of two cats with extremely different personalities and a high energy, reactive Border Collie. Therefore, I understand and know how to work with the challenges of dogs who require lots of physical and mental stimulation. I love working with and getting to know all kinds of animals and breeds and understand that no two pets are the same and all require different needs. I have experience taking care of family members’ animals in their homes for up to a week at a time. I have lots of experience and am thrilled to get to know your pets and how to best deal with them! I am currently a student at Carleton University, therefore I can't be at home with my own pets right now. I would absolutely LOVE to help other people with their pets! I will be living in Ottawa for the next 4 years at least, which means I would be a great long term fit! I only have three classes at the moment, giving me tons of availability on days when I have class and off days! In my home, I balance taking care of 2 cats and 1 energetic Border Collie. I take my dog for two 40 minute walks a day and play with him CONSTANTLY in the house (Playful dog owners will especially know about the never ending fetch game)! I measure out both my cat and dog’s food to ensure they are getting proper amounts. I also change my cats’ litter on a daily basis. I enjoy playing laser with my cats and other cat toys!

About: Growing up with rescue dogs and cats, and helping with our family pet-sitting business, gave me early experience with pets of all sizes, behaviors, and backgrounds. I have fostered cats, transported pets, volunteered at adoption events, and trained volunteers for local rescues. About: I’ve loved animals my whole life, but finally got to experience having a pet in the family when we adopted Jasmine 8 years ago! Jasmine joined our family as a puppy, and through this experience I’ve become an expert at dog loving and dog training. I love to play with dogs and other pets, give nice long walks, and give treats when it is okay to do so. In terms of experience, I have experience walking, checking-in, and sitting for both dogs and cats over these last 8 years as well. I’m currently working as an elementary teacher, so my availability is limited to weeknights and weekends. About: I’m an animal lover, I have a special connection with nature, specially with small creatures. My last doggie was an adorable French puddle “Lili “ who passed away last year at 13 years old, I’m currently a mother of a lil hamster “tortillo” he’s 1 year old but he spend most of his time in his cage, he loves sleeping in his tunnels and taking naps with me. Birds and squirrels have free access to food and water at my place, I love have them around. About: I’ve had a dog since I was 8 so I’ve had many years of living with a dog - and while I had little to do with his training I got my own dog (a pug beagle mix) when I was 20 and have trained and raised him into a gentleman despite his stubborn resistance to training :) I’m now also a cat mom to Chico, a senior boy I work remotely during the day. I usually finish around 4 but luckily my job allows me to be flexible with my schedule so I can take breaks during the day for walks and visits, or take off a bit early when necessary! About: I've been around cats and dogs my whole life and love spending my free time with animals. Over the past 10 years, word has spread amongst friends and friends of friends that I'm good with animals, as well as being very reliable and responsible. How I interact with animals depends on their needs and ranges from walks, playing inside/outside, hikes, dog park, or lots of snuggles and pets. I can accommodate feeding schedules as needed and am able to give pets oral medication as well. In case of emergency, I'm also happy to take pets to the vet. I'm currently a full time graduate student and work part-time, so my schedule during the week varies. I have some mornings free and some days completely off. I'm generally around home in the evenings. On the weekend I spend lots of time with animals that I'm caring for, making sure to match whatever their needs are. I like to meet with my clients and their pets before sitting for them for the first time. This gives everyone a chance to get to know me, pets and clients. It's important for helping to understand rules, norms, and commands the animals have, get familiar with where everything is, and start to build a relationship of open communication and expectations.

I will always have bags, water, and treats, if needed, on hand on walks and dog bowls and toys available in my home. Food and medication, pet bed/cage and favourite toy(s) will be supplied by you to make the space more comfortable and safe for your pet while you are not around.
