About: I have taken care of my 10 dogs back home for many years. I have cooked, fed, groomed and taken care of them all by myself for years. For a majority of them, I've done this since the day they were born. I recently moved to Canada and I'm missing them terribly so I am eager to look after dogs in general! I go to university, so the days I do not have classes I can do the things I need anywhere. I can take them out for walks frequently, feed them on your desired schedule, play with them often and just generally give them attention and love! I currently do not have any other dogs in my current home so I am able to give your dog the maximum and utmost attention they require and deserve.

About: I have 1 year of catsitting both in clients' and my own home. I've always wanted a cat of my own and get along great with both dogs and cats. Walking is one of my passions as well. I am kind, personable and patient! I'm currently studying part-time on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I'm free sometimes on those days. On Wednesday, Fridays and weekends I'm free all day! I can come to you for dog and cat care, and am comfortable walking dogs as often and for as long as they need. For cats, I'm a certified litter scooper and toy handler. I will engage your pets as much they need and am prepared to give lots of love and cuddles, and to responsibly care for your furry friends.

About: I’m a college student currently on summer break with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and pet care throughout the week. Since I’m home full-time, I can often accommodate last-minute bookings as well. I can also speak and understand French quite well, though I’m not perfectly bilingual. I’ve always been a huge animal lover and have experience caring for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I currently help care for my one-year-old dog, whom I raised from a puppy, and my nine-year-old cat at my mom’s house. Caring for pets throughout my life has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of understanding each pet’s unique personality. I truly love both cats and dogs and will treat your pets with the same care, attention, and affection I give my own. For boarding, I live in a large home with plenty of space and access to over an acre of outdoor property and nearby forested areas for walks and exploration. I also have a hamster in a secure enclosure, which can be kept in a separate room if needed. While I can’t host cats in my home due to family allergies, I’m happy to care for cats through drop-in visits or house sitting. When caring for pets in your home, I want them to feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. Whether that’s daily walks, trips to the dog park, playtime, cuddles, or sticking to their usual routine, I’ll make sure they receive the care they’re used to. I’ll also send plenty of updates, photos, and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. My goal is to make every pet feel loved, safe, and cared for while you’re gone. Pet care fits well into my routine because I have a flexible schedule and can easily plan around visits, walks, and feeding times. I’m consistent and reliable, and I always make sure pets stick to their normal routine. I prioritize safety, trust, and making pets feel comfortable whether they are in my home or a client’s home. In my home, I provide a clean, calm, and supervised environment that helps pets feel secure and relaxed. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all instructions, respect their space, and stick to the pet’s normal routine. I always ensure doors are secure, provide fresh food and water, clean litter boxes regularly, and pay close attention to each pet’s comfort and behaviour.

About: Hello Pawrents :) Welcome to my page! I'm Ivonne, and my love for animals began in my childhood. I've had the joy of caring for a variety of furbabies, from bunnies and goats to a pig and dogs. Since the age of five, I've been passionate about rescuing animals, often bringing home injured or stray pets. Fortunately, my animal-loving parents supported me and embraced these new family members. They could share countless stories of my creative explanations for how an animal found its way into our home! As an adult, I've continued this journey, caring for dogs and bunnies, primarily through rescues and adoptions. My oldest rabbit lived to 12 years, following the passing of his mate from old age. With over 20 years of experience, I've worked with rescues and animals with physical and mental disabilities and special needs. These experiences have introduced me to a wide range of personalities, showcasing the incredible resilience, love, and loyalty that animals possess. Each furbaby is unique and special in their own way. My Promise to You: As a fellow pawrent, I understand the anxiety of leaving your furbaby with a caregiver. Rest assured, I will treat your furbaby as if they were my own, with respect, kindness, compassion, and plenty of love, cuddles, playtime, and exercise. I will follow your guidelines and their schedule, providing regular updates with pictures, videos, and even video calls if you wish. I offer services for dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds. About My Place: I live in a spacious apartment without a backyard, but there's a beautiful park right across the street where your pup can run. Additionally, there are several dog parks and hiking trails nearby. Services: - Walking Services (prices for up to 30 minutes) - Daily Drop-in Visits (feedings, medicine administration, potty breaks, cuddles, and playtime) - Boarding (your furbaby stays at my home) - Housesitting (I stay at your home) The pictures posted are of some of the wonderful furbabies I've had the pleasure of working with. I have a flexible job that allows me to set my own schedule and work from home. If I have to go into the office, it won’t be more than a couple of hours. My approach to pet care is personalized to ensure each furbaby feels comfortable, safe, and loved, whether they are in my home or yours. Here’s how I care for pets based on the service you choose: **In My Home:** I live alone and currently do not have any pets of my own, allowing me to dedicate all my attention to your furbaby. They are welcome to relax on all furniture and can even sleep with me, provided you’re comfortable with it. My home is a spacious apartment with easy access to a nearby park, perfect for playtime and exercise. **In Your Home:** When caring for your pet in your home, I make sure to follow your guidelines and maintain their regular routine. I provide the same level of love, attention, and care as I would in my own home. Your furbaby will receive plenty of cuddles, playtime, and exercise, ensuring they feel secure and happy in their familiar environment. No matter where I care for your pet, my priority is their well-being and happiness, ensuring they feel right at home.

About: Having experience with a range of pets allows me to be flexible in my service and help care for many pet needs. Beyond dog and cat care, I can provide any needs to bunnies, hamsters, or other small creatures. Given that, I excel at both dog and cat care and am more happy to accommodate any requests you may have. Since I am on a summer schedule, and have no studies, I am open to any and all times that work for you. I am incredibly flexible and willing to fit pet care into any time of my weekly routine. Personally, I keep all three of my cats indoors to ensure that they are safe, comfortable, and have a warm/cozy environment to play in. Also, when I care for dogs, I ensure that I have eyes on them at all times due make sure they are safe and not getting into any trouble. I will always be wary of dog's personality and will listen to any request you may have regarding the safety of your dog. All in all, my experience with cats and dogs have given me the opportunity to make certain that they are safe and well-cared for.

About: Hey! I’m a dog owner to a medium-sized Bull Terrier named Ella, and I take care of her daily walks, feeding, playtime, and keeping her routine consistent. I also occasionally walk dogs and cats for my neighbours, so I’m comfortable handling different pets and following owner instructions. While I’m new to formal pet sitting, I genuinely love animals and treat every one like my own. I’m reliable, attentive, and focused on making sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and happy. I’m currently a part time student in the university of Ottawa and I don’t have any full time commitments so I am fully available for daily walks, etc I take trust very seriously when caring for pets in someone else’s home. I’m attentive, gentle, and careful to follow all instructions exactly as given. I respect pets’ boundaries, keep routines consistent, and always prioritize their safety and comfort. I’m also mindful and respectful of your space, I keep things clean, secure, and just as you left them. You can count on me to be reliable, communicative, and thoughtful while caring for your pet.

Highly recommend Mya! She did two one-hour walks with our two separate dogs, and they instantly warmed up to her and felt completely comfortable. Mya has a fantastic personality and is trustworthy. We loved getting the beautiful photos and update card after the walks, and she even brought along treats and water for them. We will definitely be using her services again!

About: I have experience caring for pets, including dogs and cats, treating them with the same love and attention as if they were my own. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive to each dog’s unique personality and needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, whether it’s going for walks, playing, or providing companionship. I also frequently pet sit for friends, which has strengthened my ability to handle different breeds and temperaments with care. I like to jog in the park. I take care of friends' dogs when they are on vacation and truly enjoy it. Dogs shouldn't stay indoors during those time. They can have vacation time too :) I'm very respectful of people's home. It's a personal space and I too like when people coming into my house show the same respect. I have a gated yard and work from home half of the week so I can do mornings, noon and evening easily.

Grace has been awesome with my dog, Toto. She’s super easy to work with, communicates really well, and has been incredibly accommodating with my schedule, even when I’ve needed a walk booked on short notice. Toto can be a pretty anxious guy, and Grace has been great with him. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with and takes the time to make sure they’re comfortable and well looked after. I always know he’s in good hands when he’s with her. It’s such a relief knowing Toto is getting his exercise and burning off some energy when I’m not able to get him out myself. Grace is reliable, friendly, and just overall a pleasure to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in le Plateau choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 87% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
