“Highly recommend Mya! She did two one-hour walks with our two separate dogs, and they instantly warmed up to her and felt completely comfortable. Mya has a fantastic personality and is trustworthy. We loved getting the beautiful photos and update card after the walks, and she even brought along treats and water for them. We will definitely be using her services again!”

“Johanne was beyond amazing with my dogs. She was always on time, kept up communication, got some fantastic photos and kept us updated about both our dogs. I was worried at first as one of my dogs is a muscular puller and thought for sure that it would be a challenge but not at all. She handled both dogs perfectly and I am pretty sure she taught them to be bilingual as well. 10/10 she will be my number one choice and the only person I will recommend to others. I can not express how happy we were with our experience. I am not sure if there are awards or 6 star status but If anyone from the Rover teams see this Johanne should be given elite status.”

“Lauryn is amazing! My schedule means I need someone to walk my dog during the middle of the workday. Lauryn is always prompt, communicates clearly, and my dog loves her! She’s been walking her for 2 weeks and I plan to continue with Lauryn as long as possible!”

About: Hi! I've always had a lot of pets, in my brazilian house we had 7 kittens and 2 dogs that were always very loved and cared for by me mainly, from baths to even medication with all the love possible. We live in a house, with screens on all the windows and very bright and ventilated where I can give constant attention to my visitors and four-legged friends. Our neighborhood is very quiet and we have a small space at the back of our house, too. I had contact with animals of various sizes and I have an easy adaptation with them. I look forward to receiving new visitors! ____________________________________________________________ Oi, sou Francielly! Me and my husband can taking walks and doing activities that they may need. I can receive visitors during the week, weekends and holidays as well. At the moment we do not have children or other animals at home, so our full attention will be for the new guest. We have a space at the back of our house that gives us privacy and safety.
“Luisa has been amazing, we have 2 dogs who love going on walks with her! Luisa is always on time, very responsive to messages and has been amazing helping us out when we’re in a pinch for dog walking! I definitely recommend Luisa!”

About: I have experience caring for pets, including dogs and cats, treating them with the same love and attention as if they were my own. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive to each dog’s unique personality and needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, whether it’s going for walks, playing, or providing companionship. I also frequently pet sit for friends, which has strengthened my ability to handle different breeds and temperaments with care. I like to jog in the park. I take care of friends' dogs when they are on vacation and truly enjoy it. Dogs shouldn't stay indoors during those time. They can have vacation time too :) I'm very respectful of people's home. It's a personal space and I too like when people coming into my house show the same respect. I have a gated yard and work from home half of the week so I can do mornings, noon and evening easily.
About: I have over five years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. I’m comfortable with feeding, walking, bathing, playtime, and maintaining each dog’s usual routine. I have also spent years volunteering on a farm caring for animals, which has taught me to be patient, responsible, and attentive. I treat every dog with the same love and care I give my own pets, and I’ll make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m currently a student at Algonquin, I will be finishing mid-April, and work part-time. I’m mostly a homebody, making me available on weekends and weekdays for pet care, offering flexibility and reliable attention for your pets. I care for pets in the comfort of their own home, where they feel safest and can maintain their usual routine. I carefully follow all feeding, walking, medication, and care instructions provided by the owner. I always keep doors, gates, leashes, and the surrounding environment secure. I treat every client’s home respectfully and make sure their pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and supervision while in my care.

About: I grew up with dogs and have always considered them family. Our first dog, Sasha, was adopted four months before I was born and had significant behavioural needs. She was my best friend for thirteen wonderful years, and caring for her taught me patience, attentiveness, and how important it is to meet each dog where they are. Since then, my family has had two more dogs, and I’ve gained experience caring for seniors, managing specialized diets, preparing food, and handling unexpected veterinary concerns. Our current dog, Zyler, has canine megaesophagus and requires specialized food preparation and feeding techniques. He’s a lot of work, but he’s also the absolute love of my life! I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and taking the time to make sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for. I am a full time student. I have 3-5 hours of non-negotiable commitments during the week, but I am a homebody and I can be around constantly outside of synchronous in-person classes. I am free Tuesdays. Saturday’s and Sunday’s without restrictions I care for pets by taking my cues from your animal. Having been a foster volunteer, I am aware of signals and cues and how to respect an animal’s boundaries while caring for their needs. I am the cleanest, most respectful house guest and will leave the place immaculate. I will respect homeowners predefined boundaries while providing as much play and cuddles possible.
About: I am the go to dog sitter for all of my extended family, and I have sat for small to large dogs. And I have mostly sat for houses with multiple dogs. I work early mornings Monday to Friday, so I’m free during the normal working day. And full availability most weekends with advanced notice. And I can sit multiple days in a row. I can follow whatever routine you have with your pet. I can follow complex instructions, detailed feeding schedules and I have care for an elderly dog that required diabetes shots daily.
About: I have previous experience with all kinds of animals. I’ve worked on farms milking cows, helped train puppies, been a cat mom, and will love your pets the same way you do. I’m currently a student in university which allows for lots of flexibility to include pet care within my schedule. I am an active individual who takes lots of daily walks! Morning, afternoon, and evening walks are typical within my day, so I’d be happy to have a dog come along with me for some extra company and fun. I am diligent in following all rules and guidelines provided by the owners, as I know how important routine is to pets.I prioritize maintaining their usual schedule and environment so that it is as if their owners never left. My top priority is to provide reliable care that keeps your pets happy and stress-free.

Grace has been awesome with my dog, Toto. She’s super easy to work with, communicates really well, and has been incredibly accommodating with my schedule, even when I’ve needed a walk booked on short notice. Toto can be a pretty anxious guy, and Grace has been great with him. It’s obvious she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with and takes the time to make sure they’re comfortable and well looked after. I always know he’s in good hands when he’s with her. It’s such a relief knowing Toto is getting his exercise and burning off some energy when I’m not able to get him out myself. Grace is reliable, friendly, and just overall a pleasure to work with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a dog walker.

Paul has been walking my crazy energetic husky, Oreo, for over a year now. He’s one of the most reliable, flexible dog walkers I have ever dealt with in my 4 years of owning a dog. Truly the best walker in the city, sad to see us part ways as I am moving. My dog will forever love you!

Celeste has been a star when it comes to my dog. He is a very shy and nervous baby and she immediately knew how to let his goofy personality come out and make him comfortable. She is so gentle and sweet with him but also makes sure to guide him so he listens to her and trusts her. Couldn't be more happier to have her as Jasper's friend and walker!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in le Plateau choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
