About: I have experience caring for pets, including dogs and cats, treating them with the same love and attention as if they were my own. I’m patient, reliable, and attentive to each dog’s unique personality and needs. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, whether it’s going for walks, playing, or providing companionship. I also frequently pet sit for friends, which has strengthened my ability to handle different breeds and temperaments with care. I like to jog in the park. I take care of friends' dogs when they are on vacation and truly enjoy it. Dogs shouldn't stay indoors during those time. They can have vacation time too :) I'm very respectful of people's home. It's a personal space and I too like when people coming into my house show the same respect. I have a gated yard and work from home half of the week so I can do mornings, noon and evening easily.
“Melanie stayed at my home for 2 weeks to take care of my cat Angel. I have to say that she was absolutely wonderful. My cat was very comfortable with Melanie and she took fantastic care of her. She left my home spotless, the way I left it. I have never had such a marvelous sitter. I would absolutely book Melanie again. Melanie went above and beyond and took loads of pictures of Angel as the progression of my cat's trust became greater. If you want the greatest sitter book Melanie P. Once again Thank You, thank you to Melanie!!”

“This was our first time using this service. Lorraine went above and beyond to keep our senior dogs and cat safe and entertained while we were away! She provided us with updates and even cooked for them when she noticed they needed more fresh food. One of our dogs can be a handful due to his advanced age and Lorraine managed it like a pro - which she is! We will gladly book again when we need it.”
“Once more, Noah provided excellent care to Mika for the weekend. Even the neighbors noticed how attentive he was on walks with her both during the previous sitting and the most recent one.”

“We have used Erica multiple times now and she is awesome! Our dog gets the royal treatment with Erica which makes going away on holiday worry free. Thanks Erica you are great!”

“We had an excellent experience with our cat sitter! She took wonderful care of both our home and our little "pipsqueak" while we were away. We could tell she genuinely cares about animals—our cat was happy and well-cared for, and our house was in perfect shape when we returned. She was also incredibly responsive and made the whole booking process a breeze, even though the app we used was new to us. She patiently walked us through everything, making sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. Highly recommend!”

About: I have been my friends & family's pet sitter for many years. I have lived with and taken care of different breeds, but I have more experience with medium to larger dogs. I have always loved going on long walks with dogs, and can handle the ones with leash aggression. I am extremely patient and will meet a dog where they are! I have some experience (and a lot of interest) with dog training as well as caring for puppies. I always make sure my dogs are well taken care of with fresh water, preferred food schedules, walks and plenty of cuddles and play time. I work full-time during the week until 3:30 pm, which means I'm available early to care for your pets after work! I also usually work from home on Fridays. On the weekends, I am fully available for your pets' needs. I usually would include a longer walk on Saturday and/or Sunday. When I housesit, I always follow your preferred guidelines when it comes to your pet's comfort, schedule and routine. As for my own home, I live in a small apartment on the 4th floor of a building (with balcony) so I can only board small pets and pets who are plant savvy. I live close to Dow's Lake which is amazing for walks along the canal and the Arboretum.
“Kassandra did a good job with my two Huskies and looking after my house. She had to administer meds, brush the “sheddy ones” and check the yard for things the crows drop in. I liked that she would drive over on her lunch break to give them a quick walk/bathroom break❣️”

“Jayme was very communicative throughout her stay at our place, where she house sat our two dogs. She also spent a lot of time with the dogs, walking them and doing enrichment activities with them, which I' sure they loved! We would trust Jayme with our dogs any time!”

“Madison was great with communicating about our kitties. She stayed over for a couple of days and made sure our cats were doing okay. We would highly recommend her to stay over and take care of your pets.”
“Shannon is a lovely person, and she did an excellent job of communicating while with my two dogs, which made me feel reassured. The dogs loved her, and we've already booked her for another stay.”

“Julie did a fantastic job taking care of our two dogs and house for a week. The dogs connected with her right away and were calm and comfortable. She took them for two good walks a day and followed all of our instructions and wishes. She was proactive with daily pics, updates and the dog’s well being as it was our first time leaving them without family. The house was left very tidy and everything in order. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Rover and Julie T. Thank you!”

“Jude was beyond amazing. We have never left our dogs before and they can be a little overwhelming at first! 3 Great Pyrenees ranging from 7mos-3 years. He handled their chaos and excitement beautifully upon meeting them at the meet and greet, and put us at ease right away. Of course the dogs calm down after a few minutes of crazy, but at no point did he make us feel like he wouldn't be able to handle it. And true to form, they took to him right away. We have never spent a night away from them and he sent us lots of pictures and videos to get us through. The dogs were happy and healthy when we got home. We requested constant care, with minimal time away (not exceeding 6hrs at a time) as it was their first time with an overnight sitter, and he exceeded our expectations by a mile! He was right on time for both the meet and greet and the day of the sit, and communicated when he was stepping out for a bit (not gone for long at all! Totally reasonable!) He tidied up after himself and even made sure the air conditioning was on for us when we got home (it was going to be a warm evening) so we and the dogs could stay cool the night we got home. He even brought a package in for me. Just overall took fantastic care of our home and our babies. GP's are known to bark a lot, and ours are no exception. Instead of getting frustrated with them when he had a phone meeting, he gave them a good treat to keep them quiet and busy...he is very in tune with how to handle large breed dogs famously known for their independence and goofiness. It was the perfect experience all around and we will be using his services as often as we can. You will not regret hiring him for a second! Hopefully just not when we need him because I can't imagine leaving the dogs with anyone else! THANK YOU JUDE!!!! -Allison, Amy, Bear, Lilly, and Tater”

“Kate was wonderful and my wee elderly dog enjoyed her care and company very much. Came home to a spotless home and a very happy pup! I can now travel for business with complete peace of mind - thanks to Kate. 1000% recommend!”

“Debbie was great with Odi and Lacey. We needed a last minute replacement for our dog sitter for the first two days of our vacation and Debbie was able to help us out. She is very responsive and gave us frequent updates on how they were doing. Definitely recommend Debbie for dogsitting/housesitting.”

le Plateau pet parents share their Rover experiences
Hannah was absolutely outstanding, I’d recommend her to anyone looking to have their pets taken care of! Awesome communication the entire time, lots of confidence in her ability to handle our energetic dogs (Rottweiler and Australian Sheppard). Thanks for everything Hannah!

Zain took great care of our Golden, Riley. Riley is quite energetic, but Zain had no problem caring for him. We were gone a week at Christmas. Zain always responded quickly to our messages. He sent a photo everyday - which we appreciated. The house was left exactly as we left it. We came home to a happy dog. We will definitely book Zain in the future! He is in high demand, so you will have to book early!
