“Chester looked so comfortable and happy with Akanksha. The biggest concern is that he looked too comfortable and might not want to come home. Lots of good updates and pictures.”

“Qianzhi was so great! She sent me regular updates and photos. My cat Lulu was not used to strange places and she made her feel so comfortable and at home. Highly recommend and would use again!”

“We are very pleased with the care Kristina and her family provided to our senior golden retriever for a week. She shared regular updates through the app, giving us peace of mind while we were away. Our dog has some age-related needs, and Kristina handled everything with patience and genuine care. We came home to a happy, relaxed pup and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.”

“It was our first time using Rover. Clara and Anselmo seemed like a great fit for our husky Tika! They were flexible to accommodate our schedules and accepted a last minute booking for the following week. Daily updates and photos gave us reassurance, while we do follow the “no news is good news” motto. Tika made friends with Kikko the boxer and Wasabi the cat! Will definitely look to rebook with them again.”

“Dash just loves being with Tanya and her family including all her friendly dogs. Tanya keeps was updated with lots of photos, let pur dog be a part of her faimily and it shows when he meets her or he is about to leave them. We are actually very thankful to finally find someone who loves Dash as much does them.”

“Otto stayed with Ella for a few days, she did a great job taking care of him, and Otto was lucky to have such a great carer. They spend time with another dog and a cat that reinforced Otto’s training and introductions. Very good communication and would definitely recommend Ella for future occasion if you want to have your dog in great hands .”

“Amazing dog sitter! Went above and beyond with our home-sick dog and provided timely updates with pics and videos. We really appreciate the service and would highly recommend Sanjana to others.”

“Sasha and Patrick took great care of our dog. They were very responsive and even helped us out with some training. I would ask Sasha and Patrick to sit our dog again!”

“Cara a eu un super séjour avec Josée. Elle a eu beaucoup de marches et a aussi jouer à la balle. Josée est une personne très attentionnée avec les animaux et sait s’adapter aux besoins de nos poilus. Ce fut une première visite 5 étoiles.”

“Miaozi provided wonderful care for our dogs. She is a very kind, caring and capable person and our dogs were exceptionally well cared for ! Will definitely request her services in the future :)”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and caring for them is something I truly love. I’ve spent over 3 years working in a veterinary clinic, where I’ve supported pets with all kinds of personalities, medical needs and routines. I’m comfortable caring for senior pets, and animals who may be nervous or need a little extra patience. My background also means I can safely give medication, monitor for illness, and provide extra support when needed. What matters most to me is making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I take the time to follow their routine and get to know them. I will always keep you updated with messages and photos so you can feel at ease. Pet care fits very naturally into our daily routine, and we’re available most of the time. We genuinely enjoy being around animals, so your pet will always have company, attention, and care throughout the day. Your pet will never be left unattended, and we make their safety, comfort, and happiness our top priority so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. We always like to do a meet-and-greet first to make sure your pet feels relaxed and comfortable with us before any booking. We provide a calm, quiet home environment with no other pets, so your pet will receive our full attention. We’re also located near the Ottawa River, with access to large green spaces that are perfect for safe, enjoyable walks. Whether in our home or yours, we focus on following your pet’s routine closely and creating a stress-free, secure environment where they feel at home.
“Lynda is a very caring Dog Sitter I trust my little buddy with her 100%. She is very careful to ensure each dog feels comfortable in her home but also takes the time to communicate about the days events and sends lots of pictures and videos which I really appreciated. It is hard to find people that you can trust with little dogs because they are so fragile and often, they are the equivalent to a human baby (at least that is how I feel about mine 😅) so knowing that he is safe and well cared for is actually the most important thing! My dog had a vacation by being there and I will definitely bring him to Lynda’s again in the future!”

“Sylvie is just amazing with needle. She loves needle and vice versa. She never missed to update me with needle pictures and status, which makes my stay away from needle pleasant and peaceful.”

“Andrea took great care of my dog and accommodated for me very last minute. She sent many pictures and updates throughout the entire stay! Thank you Andrea, Chai will definitely be back when we need a dog sitter 🩷”

“Judy is a wonderful dogsitter. Our pup was delighted to spend time with her. You know when there is a connection and genuine love for dogs - Judy is that person. So grateful that we can have a peace of mind when we have to leave our puppy for a few days with Judy.”

“Micheal and family are very welcoming, friendly people who genuinely love dogs and know how to care for them. We had no concerns about leaving our pet with them for her first visit and she clearly settled in well and enjoyed her stay. We will definitely use their service again in the future. We give them a rating of 5 stars without any hesitation. John.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - le Plateau
We had a great experience with Ava! Chico seemed really comfortable with her during his stay. She was very proactive in messaging us through the app and always sent us updates with very cute photos. We loved seeing how happy and at ease he looked. We highly recommend her!

Rachel and Simon were so great! They were such a great fit for looking after our big dog, Ronnie. We were 100% comfortable leaving ronnie with them for the first time. After our initial visit, Ronnie was wagging her tail as soon as we arrived at their place to drop her off. They were super kind and considerate, gave us lots of photos and updates, and just all around nice people. You could tell Ronnie was super comfortable there, getting lots of attention and cuddles. Thanks again!!

I left Bear with Sasha and Patrick for a week and they were amazing with him! They sent pictures and updates of Bear, which eased my mind while I went on my trip. Bear had a great time with them, and was well taken care of. As I have a dog who tends to eat things he shouldn’t, Sasha and Patrick were attentive to this as well as Bear’s special diet instructions. I would definitely have them watch Bear again in a heartbeat !

Merci encore Carolina.

Melina and her family are absolutely amazing. She was so understanding and accommodating from start to finish. My parents love looking after Jasper.. but honestly I think he had a much better time with Melina and her family! I will have to divide his overnight stays between the two. Thank you for the wonderful memories your family and lovely dog Obi gave to my Jappiebears!

Makayla and Matt (and Noodle) were amazing hosts! While we were away for the weekend, Tilly was living her best life with plenty of playtime and cuddles. Makayla sent us daily updates and photos…and even gave Tilly a glowing paw-gress report upon pickup. We can’t thank them enough for treating her like their own furbaby. Tilly can’t wait for her next sleepover with Noodle!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
