Forest adventures and cuddles!
I have taken care of my precious Maggie for the past 15 years, before she crossed the rainbow bridge <3 Dog sitting is such a great way to meet other dog souls and I am so ready to give some love and take care of a pet. I absolutely love dogs and their sweet presence. I enjoy going on walks in the forest nearby (various Gatineau Park trails), play with them, take care of them and relax with them (on our sunny deck outside, in a hamac, on our couch). I am comfortable with teaching baisc skills to dogs or maintaning their skills. I use positive reinforcement and yummy treatos. I can also take care of dogs with a lot of fur as my Maggie was a Sheltie. We can also bring the dog to our favorite gentle groomer for nail trims. My partner will also help when he is home, and he loves dogs just as much as I do! He is really good at teaching various commands to dogs, he is extremely patient and he also loves to play with dogs. Together, we make a good team! And we can play in the yard, trails or dog park with your puppy :) .

Rachel and Simon were so great! They were such a great fit for looking after our big dog, Ronnie. We were 100% comfortable leaving ronnie with them for the first time. After our initial visit, Ronnie was wagging her tail as soon as we arrived at their place to drop her off. They were super kind and considerate, gave us lots of photos and updates, and just all around nice people. You could tell Ronnie was super comfortable there, getting lots of attention and cuddles. Thanks again!!
Simon and Rachel were amazing hosts for our dog, Tokyo. Excellent coordination and communication of initial meet up and during the stay. We received updates and photos everyday, which made our family vacation feeling less concerned. We will definitely be booking them again, and I would highly recommend.
Phenomenal dog sitters! I can’t recommend enough Rachel and Simon. Our dog stayed with them for two weeks while we were on a family trip to Europe. During our trip they maintained constant communication, sending us updates and tons of pictures of our dog enjoying his time with them. Prior to our trip, they wanted to know as much as possible about him and we even organized a meet and greet at their house as an intro prior to the our dog’s stay. It was very evident that our dog was extremely well taken care of and loved while in their care. They made him feel part of their family. Two very caring and dog loving individuals. We are happy repeat customers of Rachel and Simon! They are the most caring, sweet dog sitters we could hope for. They have taken care of our senior lab mix for weeks at a time and we are always at ease knowing that she will be so well taken care of with the two of them. Rachel sent photos every day of their adventures: walking in Gatineau Park, enjoying their backyard, or staying cozy inside on the couch. They are communicative and accommodating of any needs or funny quirks your dog might have. They made sure our dog had her snow boots on for walks and ensured she had lots of time to enjoy the outdoors, and pivoted to shorter excursions when it became really cold outside. They followed her usual schedule expertly and ensured she was comfortable and happy for her whole stay. Our dog is thrilled to see them and settles in quickly in their warm home, where Rachel and Simon treat her like their own pup! I can't recommend them enough!

Rachel and Simon were incredible with our pup. We left for two days, and he unexpectedly experienced a lot of anxiety issues. They took such great care of him, brought him on walks, played outside, and stayed with him so he didn’t feel alone. He was warming up near the end, but they made us feel as comfortable as possible in the process. They also sent some incredibly cute pics along the way!! Could not recommend them more.

Schedule
I am currently a full time student, and occasional yoga teacher. Simon works from Monday to Thursday on a flexible schedule. We are home some afternoons/mornings depending on our schedule, and every evening. We can take the dog outside for walks mornings and evening, and sometimes at noon. Or we can let the dog chill outside in our backyard to enjoy the smells and the sun, provided the pup is comfortable on a long leash. The yard is 90% private and fenced, there is just a unfenced gap on the side that looks into our parking lot or is covered by cedars. We are home on weekends and can provide lots of activities and care for your puppy from Friday to Sunday. We try to coordinate our schedule to spend as much time as possible providing care for the pet we sit :) We can provide potty breaks from 4-8 hours.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a big private yard that is partially fenced, but we have a long leash so the dog can roam around. If you have a long leash too, please bring it! There is a big garden in our yard not accessible to the dogs. There are lots of squirrel and birds around our backyard. We live near the Gatineau Park, so lots of possibilities for walks and runs on a leash in the woods. We also have a spacious home where the dogs can play around, we have some dog pillows, and a small & big crate if necessary. We have a closed shower if the dogs need a little cleanup. If necessary, we also have a barrier/baby gate. There are no cats nor kids in the house, no one smokes and our neighborhood is quiet and calm. We do have plants in the house. We can also bring the dogs to dog parks nearby by foot or by car. We can drive around to other trails where the dogs could walk off-leash, play in water or play fetch. Our neighbourhood is calm, we live at the end of a cul-de-sac. Almost no cars drive by, but we occasionally see walkers and dogs on our street.
A typical day
I like to go on morning, noon and evening walks. We can stroll around our quiet neighborhood or go in the trails. We enjoy chilling after our day, if the pup likes to cuddle, pup wont be dispointed! During summer, we spend time outside to take care of our garden, a perfect sunbathing time for your pup. We are active, we can go jog or hike with the dog, or play fetch! We can provide potty breaks from 4-8 hours. We can provide alone time for the dog when we cook or train, if you have bully sticks or mastication toys for your dog. We can also provide socialization if you wish! Our brothers each have a 4 year old dogs (Golden Doodle and French Boxer). These dogs are sweethearts and love to play, very polite and not aggressive.
