About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was 12 years old. I'm very patient and love working with animals to ensure that they are comfortable. I work at home during the day from Monday-Friday and care for my Shih tzu throughout each day. I bring her for many walks each day. I am flexible in the care for my clients pets. Based on client recommendation, I can either give their pets their own comfortable space or, if they enjoy the company of people and other dogs, I can slowly introduce them to my dog in a shared space.

About: I had the absolute honour to be a dog Mom for 15 years. My beautiful Benjamin earned his angel wings in September 2023 but I still remember how hard it was to find a loving & attentive dog sitter who had senior dog experience, and it was through Rover that I met some really amazing dog-sitters and I'm forever grateful they were part of Benji's journey. Benji had diabetes for years so I have extensive experience administering needles and oral medication. Benji was also a fussy eater so I’m also used to making meals tasty and the environment super relaxing to ensure your baby is as happy as they can be while you’re away. The primary reason for having a higher-than-average rate is because I promise to provide exceptional, safe, and attentive care to your precious baby. I’m also open to giving very frequent updates and photos to make your experience away from your baby as enjoyable as possible. I’m very mindful of safety rules and making sure you’re little (or big!) one is safe and cared for 24/7. I love dogs so much and I miss their beautiful love and light, and while I’m not ready to have another one of my own yet, I look forward to caring for your dog as I would my own. I love giving lots of cuddles, belly rubs and walks and I aim to make every dog feel super loved and adored. Right now I’m currently working in Ottawa for the federal government from Monday to Thursday. I work from home on Fridays, and I am available all weekend and would dedicate every hour to looking after your fur baby. I’m currently in transition to retirement, so I will be available for full-time sitting as of January 1, 2027. For boarding, I am comfortable spending all of my free time outside of work with your baby. I don’t have any obligations that would take me away from focusing on your baby’s care. I also live in a very quiet neighborhood, so it would be a peaceful and enjoyable experience for your little one. I look forward to meeting you and your precious baby! 🐶 For now, I work from home 1 day a week (Fri) and have to be in the office in Ottawa 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs). I would be able to be home with your baby (Fri, Sat, Sun) but if you’re going on vacation and request more than those 3 days I’m more than happy to do 7 days a week, as long as you’re ok with them being alone on the 4 days I’m in the office (from 7am to 3pm). As of January 1, 2027, I will be fully retired and available 24/7. I have a fully fenced yard and live on a corner lot so there is lots to see and sniff even if just running around my yard, but I am happy to go on lots of leashed walks as well. I’m pretty good at interpreting the signs for potty time, but I love learning as much as I can from you about what your baby’s habits, needs and preferences are. Being a devoted dog Mom for 15 years, I was always extremely careful about making sure my Benji was safe and happy, and I did many things to avoid potential situations, such as crossing the street on walks if another dog looked aggressive, making sure I had eyes on him at all times and knowing what he was doing, even when sniffing the ground, making sure nothing was on the ground that could be hazardous. Nothing was more important to me than protecting my Benji and also making him feel super loved and relaxed. Trust is so important when choosing a dog-sitter. I’ve had a few negative experiences when I needed one in the past, so I know how awful it can be to search and have to settle for mediocre care when in a pinch, so it’s important to me to offer the utmost in care for your baby and for you to be assured that they are in good hands. I’ve had very positive experiences using Rover in the past as a dog owner & I’m excited to now be able to give positive experiences to other pet parents as a dog-sitter. I’m more than happy to abide by any and all requests or preferences that you have when it comes to your baby and I’d love to know their likes and dislikes and whatever else will make their stay with me the best time ever!

About: I love animals, especially dogs. I like creating a nice environment for them with fresh water, food and play indoors and out. Lots of physical exercise in the yard and on trails and at the river. I have had a dogs and cats, birds and rabbits since childhood. I am very responsible and kind and fun. About: I have taken care of dogs most of my life. I have often had more than 1 at a time and can’t imagine life without a fur baby. There truly is nothing like doggie love 💜. Friends and family know they can depend on me to care for their pets as if they were my own. Dogs seem to instinctively know that I am a sucker for a fur face. I am truly excited to have made a career change that will allow me to embrace my passion for pets. I work part time ( mostly from home). I am flexible as I schedule my own hours and can work around any special requirements you may have. I live in a rural area with a large yard. I usually go out walking with my dogs for an hour in the morning and a half hour in the afternoon. I do have some long leads by the door for quick potty breaks. I currently provide care in my clients’ homes rather than my own, as I want to ensure every pet is in the environment where they feel safest and most relaxed. About: I am the go to dog sitter for all of my extended family, and I have sat for small to large dogs. And I have mostly sat for houses with multiple dogs. I work early mornings Monday to Friday, so I’m free during the normal working day. And full availability most weekends with advanced notice. And I can sit multiple days in a row. I can follow whatever routine you have with your pet. I can follow complex instructions, detailed feeding schedules and I have care for an elderly dog that required diabetes shots daily.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my whole life - medium and large breeds, all kinds of personalities - so pet care has always been second nature to me. I’ve solo-cared for my own pets for weeks at a time, and I’ve stepped in for friends and family for both short visits and extended stays. In high school, I took a veterinary prerequisite course and completed a co-op at a vet office, where I got hands-on experience caring for animals and learned how to administer medication in both pill and liquid form. I’m comfortable working with pets that have allergies or need to stick to a strict feeding and bathroom schedule. My love for animals goes beyond dogs and cats - I’ve kept leopard geckos, and I grew up next to a farm where I regularly visited the retired horses just to keep them company. I’ve always been drawn to animals that need a little extra attention and care. I’m comfortable lifting and carrying larger dogs, and I genuinely love going on walks and playing, whether that’s in the home or out at the park. Your pet will be in experienced, loving hands. I work a standard 9–5 during the week, so I focus my sitting availability on Friday evenings and full weekends. On weekends I’m completely free and happy to stop by for in-home visits, take your pup out for a walk, or even bring them along for a drive. About: I’ve been house and pet-sitting since I was 16. Always making sure my friends and family can step away with zero stress and their fur babies are the star of the show! I’ve taken care of small to medium sized mostly, but large dogs a few times. No matter where I go, pets gravitate towards me! My schedule is very flexible and I have great knowledge of the city with reliable transportation. I play sports in the evening a few days a week but nothing that can’t be worked around I will ensure I study the area my clients live in and discuss the areas and routines your pets are accustomed to.
